Alice lifted her head up from her book as the train slowed down. She put her Pet Alec in her jacket pocket and carried Salie in her cage. She walked her way towards the carriages before anyone else was. As she sat down her pulled out Alec and held him in her hands and petted his chin. "Whose a good boy?" She whispered to the pet.
Alice paused as she saw a blond haired girl walk her way, swiftly putting Alec back in her pocket and sighing. Just then the carriage went off with just them. The ride went by fast, when it stopped the other girl quickly jumped off and ran inside. Alice slowly slid down the carriage and grabbed Salie.
Alice made her way into the Great Hall. The hall started to get packed quickly. She made her way the the end of the Gryffindor table and sat down.

Kate stood, sighing as she stepped off the train. Hogwarts was her home, more than her actual home ever could be. She hoped, this year, to find love, but she wondered if she ever would. The woman to whom her heart belonged didnt even know she existed, probably never would. And even if she did, most likely would detest her very existance. Kate had been in love with her ever since shed seen her picture in one of her mothers old newspapers.
Kate carried her bag over her shoulder, lost in thought. She cried out as she bumped into a beautiful girl.

Lyanna got up to go to the bathroom, lost in thought, when another girl bumped straight into her. She turned to see another girl with long, dark hair and green eyes staring at her. Lyanna stared at her, the girl's green eyes completely captivating her. She shook her head nervously; yes, she was a very pretty girl, but she thought that the girl probably didn't think the same about her. "Hello." She stammered, accidentally allowing herself to become immersed in her eyes. Again. "You have beautiful eyes." She blurted out. Her face immediately turned red. Dammit.

Kate blushed, soft heat rushing through her body at the compliment. "Y..you too." She stammered, taking in the beatiful girls appearance. The long blond hair seemed to Kate like soft golden silk. "My name is Kate..." she said dizzily.

Lyanna noticed how the girl began to stammer as well, which helped Lyanna feel better. Slightly. She smiled at her and turned her head, taking in her appearance. She definitely thought Kate was much more beautiful than she was, but it made her blush even more when Kate said it. Nobody had ever called her that, not in her fifteen painstakingly long and boring years of life. "My name's Lyanna." She smiled back at her. Noticing that Kate was wearing Slytherin robes, she asked, "Do you want to come sit with me?" She was pretty sure her words slurred slightly due to how nervous she was, but she didn't care much.

Kate nodded, following slowly after the beautiful witch. She felt odd, dizzy, a little bit weak. She didnt want to say anything, didnt want to upset the beautiful kind girl.

Lyanna led her back to the table, throwing her hair back slightly to keep it out of her face. She turned to see if Kate was still following, absentmindedly stroking the snake on her shoulders. Lyanna felt extremely alarmed when Kate mentioned she was dizzy and almost collapsed, leaning on the chair. Lyanna, feeling an oncoming wave of concern, threw her arm around Kate's waist to help her stand, attempting to pull her back on her feet so she could stand properly again.

Lyanna let her arm slip from Kate's waist, but sat close to her to make sure she didn't faint or something. She didn't like the fact that she had gotten dizzy- she felt as if she had caused it. She started to talk to her, hoping that if she was distracted she wouldn't get dizzy again. "Do you need water? I can go get some if you want." She found herself asking.

Kate shook her head. She took several deep, slow breaths, before offering her hand to the other girl. "Im ok. Hon, its not your fault. I was in an accident, a while ago. It...just happens, unexpectedly. Its why I dont do quidditch." Kate smiled softly. "Tell me about yourself"

Lyanna felt better when she was told that Kate's condition wasn't because of her, but it still made her uneasy. She wanted to know what happened to her, but she knew now was not the time to ask. She gratefully took her hand, as she was still nervous. Not from her anymore, but from the people around her. She always became nervous near crowds. " There isn't much to tell, other then the fact that I don't do well around most people. I've been through a lot of terrible friendships with people during my life, so I have a hard time trusting people. I suppose people come to bad conclusions when they realize I'm a Malfoy, not to mention that my animagus form is a fox. Foxes are terribly misunderstood, I'm afraid, and I'm no different." She smiled softly. "Although, I'm not scared of you. Maybe it's because I like you." She smirked, blushing a little.

Kate looked at her, smiling softly. "My family thinks Im basically insane. My mum hates the fact that Im a witch. Theyre muggles, and-" she stopped, tears filling her eyes. "My aunt is a witch. So Im not TOTALLY worthless-" she sighed, avoiding Lyannas eyes. She blew it. No way Lyanna would like her now. She was a Malfoy, and Kate was muggleborn.

Lyanna listened to her as she messed around with her tie. She smiled softly and opened her mouth to say something when she noticed that Kate was avoiding her eyes, and they were filled with tears. She reached over and tipped her head up and made her look in Lyanna's direction, staring straight at her. "You really think I care? I'm not like the rest of my family. I don't give a damn about blood status, and I couldn't care less whether your parents are muggles or not. That doesn't change the fact that we are all human, and we are all the same. That doesn't change who we are."
