She took Kate's hand and nodded, heading towards the dormitory room. Everyone was inside, crowded around the fire place, which was strangely blazing green. Slytherin spirit, she supposed. She laughed a little and then grew serious. "Seriously, though; you haven't been feeling good today. Are you sure you don't need something?" Conis Kirn/ Gryffindor/ first year Huddling up on the couch as she looked to the calendar, she marked the recent day off. After that, she was looking to the fireplace. The flames dancing on the logs seemed to be able to calm her a bit before her gaze returned to the small booklets. With a sigh, she placed the planner in her pocket and returned to reading her small book of magical beasts. This was probably her fourth time reading it again. She often read the books she like quite often. Mostly to the point of being able to remember it word by word or if the spine became so weak it was falling apart. It often was the latter. Ashleigh sighed, watching Alice bolt away , sinking her head. The whole hall was now empty , candles flickering, She stood up adjusting her robes , blonde hair bouncing as she walked up the shifting staircase, wavering slightly as it moved. She'd got used to it within the five year here, especially getting lost in her first year with her new-found friends, the one's who got expelled... Her feet started to ache as she reached the bulbous portrait of the fat lady, stood prose and proper. "Password" Ashleigh said it , the painting swung open revealing the toasty and warm common room. It was starting to be a bit too loud and she didn't want to panic with so many eyes people around. That was the last thing she would need. Though, finding a friend or two wouldn't hurt. Her neighbor and friend was stuck with her cruel family as she was too young to go the Hogwarts. Placing the book in her pocket, she looked around before squeezing between everyone was was climbing up the stairs. She was moving towards the girls dorm. Kate shivered, "I can tell you anything" She asked quietly. She thought about her mother, who despised her for the magical talent she possessed, and how she always let Kate know it. How often she went without meals. How she often recieved beatings for doing well on school assignments or even doing them at all. She thought of all the nights shed spent, face buried in the old, yellow newspaper from the wizarding war, staring into the fierce but gentle ice blue eyes of someone she imagined would return from the past to wisk her away from that place, but who she expected would hate her because of her blood status. She knew a little bit about what she felt. Lyanna had always felt like an outcast too, and it was no secret. She never really trusted anyone, but she trusted Kate. And she told her this, smiling and almost crying too. She never thought she was capable of trusting someone. Never in her entire life.
