Niko was used to being the top dog in a way. He'd never had anyone in his life who rivaled his sarcasm, though when he was young, he mostly threw temper tantrums when he didn't get what he wanted, but that often earned him a gentle bop upside the head, which sometimes succeeded in straightening him out. Except for when he had to be but in the basement at night, he had to be forcibly fought into there. Crying and bawling when he was young, angered while older. Niko chose to ignore the other boys comment and to turn down his offer for bacon in his mind, but his fingers inched forward to swipe a piece from his plate and wiggle it front of him, inspecting it. He hadn't had "bacon" before, but even he knew it was pure fat. He should enjoy eating meat, but after it was cooked? And chewing on a piece of fat? But now that he was here, he might as well try it. Before taking a bite, he eyed the other boy suspiciously. "I haven't tried this bacon before. I guess I will try it," he said with a quiet sigh before stuffing the bacon into his mouth.

Cooked food it tasted... wrong... weird. It was warm too... He didn't spit it out, just eyed the other boy while he chewed ever so slowly before swallowing at a snail's pace. "I can't believe I let that disgusting strip of fat slither down my gullet." he said, facing taking on a more serious look before raising an eyebrow at the boy introducing himself as "Marshall" or "Marsh" for short. He felt like he should do the same, it was fair...? He guessed. "Depending on who you are, I have different names. Father used to call me Mikołaj, but he was a bastard. I changed my name to Nikodem or Niko. Similar, but different enough." he said, mouth feeling violated by the bacon which promoted him to uncap the silver and pour the liver into his mouth. He didn't swallow immediately and kept it in his mouth just long enough to cleanse his mouth of the awful bacon.

Niko let a smug grin cross his face. "I would be one dumbass carnivore if I went for the fat first. The organ meat... is what's best... and what should be eaten first..." He began trailing off and a string of saliva dripped from the side of his mouth. It had been so long since he'd preyed on humans and who was to say his next meal wouldn't be a human classmate? There was something almost euphoric about taking down his prey; slashing his claws through the soft skin and after they had met their demise, he feasted on their remains. His eyes lightened in color just a little, until he brought himself back to reality.

He almost let out a chuckle when Marshall jumped in his seat to the girl who he'd seen behind him. "Scared by a girl, eh? Wouldn't be surprised if you were pissing your pants right now." He merely toyed with the vial and shook his head at Marshall's snarky question. "Way to be stereotypical. You know, sometimes I need a little to hold me off for a little." He leaned forward a little in his chair, fingers inching forward to reach towards Marshall's hands. "Stupid move on their part to allow me to enroll in this school. I'm a walking liability, Swampy. And maybe, once the sun sets, and the moon rises, you'll understand why... Or by then, maybe it'll be too late..." Niko's rough, calloused fingers lightly traced over Marshall's knuckles while Niko chuckled darkly to himself with those murky brown eyes of his appearing almost black.

Niko wiped the drool off his chin and threw the crumpled napkin to the side. He was almost canid in that nature; in the way he seemed obsessed with food. Niko remembered the way his mother used to tentatively wipe his face after his meals as a toddler. For such a young child, he had a ravenous appetite and with a full set of teeth, he never struggled with chewing, though he did tend to bite at his mother's breast as a newborn. Naturally, any thought of food, had him expectant, and when it didn't arrive, that was when he got frustrated.

Niko nonchalantly brushed his fingers over top of Marshall's hand. Niko's hands were cracked and calloused from long days of work in the fields. Some nights, he went to bed with bleeding hands and he doctored them himself. However, it wasn't quite blood that flowed from his wounds. It was a thick, black ichor that dripped slowly from his wounds. Sometimes it was an inky black, other times, it bordered on a deep, rose red. His human body just seemed so... fragile. "I'm glad to have given you a new name. Suits you just right, because you smell about as amazing as a burning pile of shit. But that's too long." He said, lightly trailing his fingers up Marshall's right arm. Niko's eyes were downcast, only meeting Marshall's occasionally and with a glint in his eyes. "I'm sure, sooner or later, you'll find you aren't the greatest thing to grace hell with your presence... You might think I don't look like much, but, you can take that back later and shove it up your ass. Hopefully you'll get that much through your thick head, Swampy." he said, his fingers instead, scratching gently along Marsh's knuckles. His eyes flashed yellow and he held it there for a few seconds before having to break that small trance by shaking his eyes and blinking rapidly until his eyes turned back to their usual chocolate brown color.
