Killua chuckled "Oh i know. Im no fool. You've probably realized by now, but sister my loyalties lie with shadowpack and my duty. Not with you. Its why you named me beta, yes? To keep me close? You still need me, and any future amusement i hold for the alpha of that pack benefits you, as they call them "tau" are highly respected and expected to become future deltas, the future leaders of their packs. Having family as the future leaders benefits you, yes? Your seeds have been strown. Shadowpack family loyalty runs deep and long in our instincts, not growing up to know that family wont change that."

Meruem sighed, giving her brother a tired look. "You've always been that way brother. So long as you heed my orders and your priority is thisShadowPack I am not worried. But you got one thing wrong; I named you beta because you are the right wolf for the job. Though I wish you weren't so distracted by matters across our borders." she focused her gaze ahead. "And never assume you are indisposable Killua. All wolves can be replaced and new ones can also be trained. If you forget that you won't survive for very long."

Killua gave a pouty smile when she called him not-indisposable "Ehh?? You have another wolf who is going to get close enough to that particular alpha?? You always ruin my fun." He chuckled "I may be spendable to toy usually, but ive already locked my jaws around that fae. You cant say you can dispose of me until after ive used her. Then you're aunty, and no one would care otherwise if i was attacked by a bear or rogue. I have no intention of disobeying you or BETRAYING this or any shadowpack, so you dont have to worry." Killua gave her a surprised look "Never expected to hear you say that i was worthy of the job. Well then i admit as well. You're doing well leading this pack, sister. Even with all the rogues, shadowpack is already thriving here as well."

Arielle straightened her head, "Not much other than that I agree with the Sunrise beta. I agree with Pyre, they may seem serious about this, but I feel like they have some secrets. If we really want to ally, then we should send that message with the courier in a week, though if they truly are as sinister as they seem, they could easily be a false ally and turn against us in the worst of moments." The she-wolf concluded her answer by looking to Lucifer, almost hoping for a final decision and meeting dismissal.

Kerrin resisted the urge to take part in Duskfall's discussion, though he did pay attention to what the older noble knew about Shadowpack. "Kenai," he said, turning his back on the other pack's wolves, "Are we ready to depart?"

The puppy sighed, "That black wolf looked like Auntie Tundra.." she whispered. Her right ear twitched at her Alpha's words and she turned to head back towards camp, following the faint smell of her pack. "But she's Duskfall right?" Izusa asks her brother with a low tone.

Kenai swept her tail in a wide arc as she padded into the clearing, settling beside the log, content on waiting for the other alphas before demonstrating her rank above her wolves. She rathered to relax down on the ground with her family, but instead she found her tail flicking in worry, back and forth back and forth, at the mere thought of family - Were the pups ok? Was Soren watching them? What were they doing? Were they safe? Was Shadowpack being sneaky like she guessed but didnt hope?.

Artemis tucked herself into the now snow free gathering space, her jade eyes sweeping over the wolves already gathered in the clearing, anxious for the rest. Today, Killua had voluntarily decided to stay put after Meruem announced it, and if it had been a surprise, he would have contested immensely, and she KNEW something was up. Her thoughts drifted first to Mika and his adopted siblings, then to the battle coming up. She was excited for the male to drop by shadowpack later to teach them Blackwater's ways, and while she wanted to tear apart those wolves, whe knew that this wolf was off limits and to be treated as a guest. Well, as much as Artemis could treat a random wolf in the middle of camp that was a 'guest'. Usually, a guest in shadowpack's camp was treated nicely for an hour, then torn apart by the other wolves. So Artemis wasnt sure if Miro meant THAT kind of guest or an actual GUEST. {..now isnt the time for this} she scolded herself mentally, bringing her attention back to Meruem.

Kerrin marched into the clearing after his alpha, proudly sticking up his head and ignoring the pestering thought in the back of his mind. He took his seat beside Kenai, waiting patiently for the other two packs. As Shadowpack spilled in, he scanned every pelt, searching for a silvery-white, black-pawed young adolescent. His search turned up unsuccessful and the male couldn't suppress a depressed sigh.

Arielle | Female | 1 year, 7 months | Noble (Acting as Beta) | Duskfall

Arielle followed behind Nova, confident to those who didn't know her. But those that did, especially if they were her mate, could easily notice her anxiety and nervousness. She knew this was part of a Noble's job, but could she match up to the Sunfall Beta's peaceful confidence or Shadowpack's lithe tongue?
