Alura | 3 yrs | Female | Akita | mentions : Max Alura let herself get closer to the sound of the noise, the scents of several other dogs filling her nostrils. She bristled a bit, hoping she wouldn't have to fight her way out of this. She hated fighting. As she eased around one of the buildings, she noticed one of the scents was much stronger, and she glanced up in time to barely catch herself from colliding with a large male German Shepherd. She jumped back, startled, and pinned her ears, letting her lip curl up just a little, and locked eyes with him. "Sorry. Didn't see you there." She spoke softly, but kept her guard up. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Glacia // Female // 3 Years Old // Siberian Husky // Mentions: Lucca, Cain (Indirectly) Seeing the other stray slow down, Glacia came to an abrupt stop, placing the piece of meat on the ground. She protectively put her paw over it, just in case this other dog would try to steal it. Coming across good food like this was almost impossible nowadays, and she wasn't going to let someone steal it. "Nice to meet you, Lucca. I'm Glacia." She greeted him. Seeing the puzzled look he gave her, she smirked. "Why are you looking at me like that? Haven't you ever been approached by another dog before?" She went back to playfully teasing him, an amused glint in her eyes. To be honest, she didn't exactly know why she started talking to him, she was just sick of only spending time with Cain. The Alaskan Noble Companion Dog was friendly, but it got boring spending all your time with just one dog. [My posts today won't be very long, since there's some trouble with one of my cats, I just brought her to the vet and I'm a bit shaken up at the moment.] 0 players like this post! Like? |

Max | 4.5 years | Male | German shepherd | Mentions: Alura| Max spun around at the sound of another dog behind him. He relaxed a slight bit, hoping she wasn't a threat. "Its fine" He said not breaking gaze with her. "What brings you here?" He asked, curious to why she to, out of all the dogs that had, had come at the sound of the bang. He tried to relax more and let his fur lie flat, but he still kept minimal guard up as he watched the female Akita and waited for her response for a heart beat. Lucca | 4 years | Male| German Shepherd | mentions: Glacia | Lucca smiled and flicked his gaze to the ground for a heart beat, Its been a while" He said lifting his gaze, still smiling. Lucca watched the female and looked her up and down, making sure this wasn't some sort of trick to steal his share of the meat. He gave his fur a shake, as if he had a lion's mane, and swished his tail across the ground. He was weary of this female, it wasn't everyday that another dog is so friendly while being around food. But he had to admit, he did feel more comfortable around her than he did any other dog recently. OOC: im so sorry! i hope that she gets better soon! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Alura | 3 yrs | Female | Akita | mentions : Max Alura felt her body relax a bit as the large male didn't try to threaten her or get aggressive in any way. She settled down a bit, slightly lifting her ears. "I'm new to the neighborhood, and searching for food. I heard the bang, and my curiosity got the best of me." She ducked her head a bit, but didn't break eye contact. "I'm sorry if I'm trespassing in your territory. I can go......" Her nostrils flared as the scent of meat floated through the air, and her stomach growled loudly, causing her to look away, slightly embarrassed. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sunny |Male lab| ~10 years | Mentions: Goldi It had been weeks since they left their original home and wondered into the city. Their hope to find some human life there was slowly being crushed the further into the once bustling city. Yet, despite his growling stomach, sore paws and aching back, the old dog refused to believe that all the humans where gone. Surely there was still someone about, perhaps even their own humans. If they didn't come here, then where would they be? hours passed, and yet all the duo spotted where mice and birds. Occasionally they caught the faint scent of another dog, sometimes a cat, but they managed to avoid running into one. Eventually, the older dog's legs began to shake. His toungue rolled out and his chest heaved with pants. The next thing he knew, he was falling to his side. With a groan, he streatched his yellow legs out on the pavement. "Here's as good a place as any to rest." he weezed. Goldeen/Goldi | Female Chihuahua| 8 months| Mentions: Sunny, Cain The smaller dog growled with disapproval. "No it's not. Get back up, Sunny. We can't rest out in the open, and we haven't even found food yet. " Unfortunately to Goldi, her larger companion was not budging. She huffed, and latched onto one of his floppy ears, giving a sharp tug, and still he remained fixed to his spot. "Fiiiine. Just rot here. " the puppy snarled, "I guess I have to get the food. Again.". Keeping a wary eye on the birds above, Goldeen slunk away from the resting lab. Yup, he still wasn't moving. Great. She could easily smell the rotting food in the dumpsters, but there was no way she could get into one, not without Sunny's help. She also did not have the weight to knock over one of the smaller, but full, trash bins here and there. Following her nose to find something easier, A few mice darted across her path, tempting the dog to test her hunting, but no matter how fast she ran, they would run faster and disappear into cracks or grates before she could get them. Passing an old burger joint, she managed to find a crack in a window, just large enough for her to enter. While it would normally be a few feet out of her reach, a fallen a couple boxes where conveniently tossed near by, and all she had to do was push them over. Fortunately, the boxes didn't cave in too much when she climbed on top, and the pup managed to squeeze herself into the window and tumbling down the other side. She landed roughly on a wooden table. Wincing, the pup rolled off, and down to the floor. Instantly she was in heaven. Littering several tables where the abandoned plates of barely preserved burgers. The scent of more to come filled the back of the room. With her tail wagging, the puppy got to work. She quickly scarved down one of the more intact burgers, not even caring about the bit of mold growing on the cheese. For sunny, she grabbed what patties she could fit in her mouth, only about two. She jumped up into the booth, the table, and crawled back under the window. She was on her way back to the old mutt when she heard a loud bark, barely a street over. Smelling the other dogs, her large ears went flat against her back as she raced for cover, slipping under a gate, towards a larger building. She didn't stop to think that there was a reason the door was slightly open, and she was so concerned about the dogs she was running from, she didn't notice the dog she was running towards. Once inside a hallway, she paused by the entrance, casting a glance to the fence to ensure she wasn't spotted. Sure enough, she didn't see anyone. Taking a deep breath, the young dog took in her surroundings. It was a dark building, and she could smell the faint scent of humans, particularly children. It was nice and spacey, and well protected. A good shelter if she could just get Sunny to move. However, her peace didn't last long. Her ears picked up on the slight clinks of claws on the hard floor. A soft squeak of a door being pushed open. Realizing her mistake, Goldeen slunk down the hall, away from the other dog. A desk left outside a classroom gave her temporary shelter to hide under while she waited to see if it would be safe to move again. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Glacia // Female // 3 Years Old // Siberian Husky // Mentions: Lucca Glacia pricked her ears, listening to Lucca. "I don't blame you for being suspicious, it's hard to come by nice dogs. It's kinda sad how lonely it can get out here." Usually Glacia wasn't this sympathetic to other dogs, but this one seemed like one who hadn't been born a stray, and was abandoned by his owners; like her. She knew how painful it was, and she still didn't understand why the people who she had thought loved her so much, left her. "Hey, if you want, you can stay with me and my friend, Cain. He might not seem very nice at first, but he'll start to warm up to you after a while." She suggested hopefully. "You don't have to, of course. I understand if you don't trust me. You only met me a few minutes ago, after all." She really didn't have any intention of stealing this dog's food, the meat that she had grabbed was enough for her and Cain, she didn't take more food than she needed. Other dogs needed to survive as well. 'If he joins, maybe he can help me persuade Cain to start a pack!' She thought, her eyes lighting up for a moment. Cain // Male // 4 Years Old // Alaskan Noble Companion Dog // Mentions: Goldeen/Goldi [OOC: If you'd rather not have him find Goldeen yet, just tell me, and I'll edit the post.] Cain walked back out into the hallway, his tail high. Just as he was about to go inspect some of the other rooms, the scent of another dog reached his nose. He froze, a snarl caught in his throat. "Who's in here?" He barked loudly, his amber eyes narrowed and observing the area around him. He slowly walked down the hallway, following the scent to a lone desk that was let outside one of the rooms. He looked under it, only to see a really small pup with two burger patties in it's mouth. The black-pelted dog let out a breath of relief and took a step back, observing the tiny dog. If this were a full grown dog, he'd probably steal it's food, then chase it off. He couldn't do that to a puppy, though. Glacia would never speak to him again if he did. So he let out an annoyed huff before sitting down. "What are you doing here?" He asked her in an unusually calm, almost emotionless voice. He just hoped that this pup's parents weren't around, the last thing he needed was more trouble. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Tyger | Female | 5 Years | Dutch Shepherd Mix | Mentions: Directly-Mercy Indirectly-The Bajillion other characters by the restaurant lol Tyger kept her seat as a deep menacing, and distinctly male bark echoed throughout the restaurant originating from the back door. Her instincts told her to barge through the door, to see what dog would challenge her in such an obvious fashion, her training kept her eerily still, silver blue eyes still fixed upon the door. She had high ground where she sat, an advantage she was not about to give up not even to satisfy her insatiable curiosity. Besides...what dog could resist the scent of meat still lingering throughout the restaurant? Surely not even Tyger herself who knew that no more meat resided in the building and yet still felt the saliva pooling in her mouth, felt the growl of her stomach insistently scratch against her ribs. A noise at the front door distracted the female...an American Pitbull Terrier in breed... a formidable opponent. Yet despite this Tyger kept her still pose...it was obvious this one was not looking for a fight. Her belly was swollen with new life, gaze purely searching...in need of food. Tyger felt a tingle of unease run across her back...a mother was the most dangerous enemy...not to mention Tyger’s own annoyingly honorable side of personality would not allow her to harm the female, trespassing or not. The male on the other side of the door was another problem entirely though and from the scents drifting through the open door this American Pitbull and the unknown male behind the back door were not alone. Was this a pack? Tyger had heard that aggressive packs of dogs had formed at the very edges of the city...usually the places where numbers were required...places where the wild was taking over with predators like mountain lions, bears and wolves roamed freely day and night. Tyger knew her fighting ability, knew that she would be able to hold her own in a fight. Victory against a pack though, was something even the war hardened female could not win. It was to late to back out now though...by scent and by hearing the only conclusion was that she was surrounded. A defiant growl echoed throughout the restaurant aimed at the back door and to the male behind it...let the fight come...Tyger would fight for her right to live and relish every second of it. 0 players like this post! Goldi |Female chi| 8 months| Mentions: Cain Hunched under the desk, the chihuahua was dismayed as the other dog drew nearer. A small dog like her would be easily over looked, he probably didn't even know she was there. He would likely get bored exploring and leave. Hearing the other dog bark out "Who's in there?" , Goldi gulped and backed against the wall.It wasn't long before she could see them, a large black dog that could almost be mistaken for a wolf. Being bigger then even Sunny, she knew they could easily steal the patties. Her instinct told her to eat the burgers, get them in her stomach and run so the other dog couldn't possibly take them, but she shook her head at the thought. These weren't hers but Sunny's, and she couldn't return to the old dog empty pawed. With luck he would pass her over. Please pass by. Please...Nope. Two amber eyes peered under the desk at her. The pup dropped her patties as her muzzle twisted into a snarl, hoping to make herself seem like more trouble then it was worth. When the dog sat down and spoke again, Goldeen waited a bit to answer. Her mind was racing, how fast could this dog be? How far away was the nearest exit. Could he get at her under this desk? If she had to, she might be able to outrun him, but he was between her and the door she entered from, and she didn't know of another exit. Perhaps if she played the nice cute puppy he would simply let her walk away. Keeping a wary eye on the dog, she responded in a quiet voice, "I'm...h...hiding.", Not budging from her hiding spot, she inquired, "W...what are you doing here?", feigning a timid tone in her voice and letting it fade even quieter, as if she was afraid to ask the question back. 0 players like this post! Max | 4.5 years | Male | German shepherd | Mentions: Alura| Max studied the female for a moment, he could tell she was hungry "no" he said calmly "You can stay with me and my sister a while if you like" He added. Max knew that every dog deserved a good chance at life, and he often didn't turn down anyone in need. He saw how hungry this female was and felt bad for her. She seemed to have gone through something as well, something in her past. Giving her a slight nod he added "I'm max" Lucca | 4 years | Male| German Shepherd | mentions: Glacia | Lucca watched Glacia as she explained her offer. It was extremely friendly and quite frankly Lucca had not expected it at all. He lowered his gaze when she had finished and studied his paws, deep in thought. He missed having another dog around. His old travel companion, Tyger, and him had parted ways a while ago and left Lucca quite lonely. He knew that Tyger didn't mean any bad, and that she most likely missed him to. Lifting his gaze back to Glacia he saw a glint of hopefulness in her eyes. "So, how far away is this friend of yours?" He woofed, smirking. He picked up his chunk of meat, Lucca was ready for some company again. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 22/02/16 @ 06:25:27 by For never, forever (#61889) |

Glacia // Female // 3 Years Old // Siberian Husky // Mentions: Lucca, Cain, Goldi "Oh, he's searching for a place to stay right now, but he said he wouldn't wander too far off. I should be able to catch his scent with no problem." Glacia said happily. She raised her head, her nose twitching as she sniffed around for her friend's scent. When she finally found it, she turned her head and smirked at Lucca. "Try to keep up!" She suddenly barked, swiping her piece of meat up in her jaws before running off in the direction of the scent. She had no problem keeping a quick and steady speed, since huskies were bred for endurance, but she'd glance back every now and then to make sure Lucca was still following. The scent eventually led to a large building which she believed was called a school. She felt a sharp pang of grief in her chest, recognizing this as the place that the small girl in her family would go to almost every day. Glacia lowered her head and quickly shook the sad feeling off, then she paced around the fence, looking for an entrance. Finally, she managed to find a small gap under the fence, and squeezed through it, the piece of meat still firmly clamped in her mouth. Once she had gotten through, she quickly trotted over to the entrance of the building, to find the main doors already opened. Glacia peered inside to see Cain sitting near a desk, looking like he was watching something. She shrugged and ran over to him happily, setting the meat down right by his side. "Hello, Cain! I found some food." She began. "I also found another dog called Lucca, he wants to stay with us for a while, so you better be nice to hi-" Spotting a small figure under the desk, she stopped speaking, her ears pinned back. It was a puppy! "Oh, hello. Who are you?" She greeted the small dog warmly. She would be lying if she said she didn't have a soft spot for pups. "My name is Glacia. I hope my friend over here didn't scare you too much." She knew how aggressive Cain could be to strangers, and she hoped he wasn't too mean to the puppy. Cain // Male // 4 Years Old // Alaskan Noble Companion Dog // Mentions: Goldi, Glacia, Lucca Cain rolled his eyes when he heard the pup's scared tone. Why were young dogs so pathetic? He had no doubts that this was once a human's dog. Stray pups were usually braver than this. Just as he opened his mouth to respond to the strange pup, he heard more dogs approaching. He quickly spun around and growled, but relaxed when he saw it was only Glacia. "Hello, Glacia. See, I told you that you'd find something, next time you shouldn't complain about scavenging duty" He said in a surprisingly friendly tone. As soon as Glacia set down the piece of meat, he'd place his paw over it, not wanting to give the pup any ideas about stealing their food. Hearing his friend say something about a dog named Lucca, he sighed. Of course she had to bring back another dog. Normally he wouldn't allow her to bring in some random stranger, but he knew how lonely she was, so he'd let the new dog stay with them... at least for now. If Lucca seemed suspicious to Cain, he wouldn't hesitate to throw him out. The wolf-like dog stood up at watched as Glacia started to talk to the pup, deciding to let her handle this. She was better at talking to other dogs than he was. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ajax - Male - 4 y 7 m - Harlequin Beauceron / Mentions: Mercy, Tygrr A low growl was emitted as he stood at the back door, listening intently to the dog inside. Mercy spoke about going inside alone, leaving him alone was no issue in a fight but a line female? Ajax let out a huff to acknowledge her words. A growl came from inside that just couldn't be the female. This dog was looking for a fight with a fighting dog who won most of his fights. Only this time the prize was larger than just one bowl of slop. This prize was a whole meat locker! Ajax let a loud bark emit from his jaws as saliva flew from his mouth. Ajax's paws were planted in the dirt by the back door, head high as always and another warning bark emitted. Before Ajax let out his second bark the dog inside growled again, again welcoming him into a fight. Alright then. Ajax fiddled with the door knob in his mouth for a few minutes before the heavy door finally swung open. Ajax's jaws were parted to show his large canines. Ajax didn't need to straighten himself to know that the dog on the counter was going to be noticably short than himself. His loud voice was emitted as he spoke, loud and demanding. "I suggest you leave, dog," Ajax was kind enough this time to suggest her leave before he would launch at her. Hopefully the dog was smart enough to realize he ruled over many dogs and this would be no different. His voice was choppy and harsh from endless fights where dogs had gone straight for his throat. A German shepherd almost tore his throat out before Ajax got the upper hand. What could be mistaken as a scar from an embedded collar was thrush fully from that dog fight. 0 players like this post! Mercy | 2 Years | Merle American Pitbull Terrier| Mentions: Ajax, Tyger Mercy could clearly see a dog standing on the countertops. Just by scent she could tell the other dog was female, and her stance told her she was ready for a fight. She was about to speak when Ajax burst through the door demanding the other dog leave. "Now now, there really is no need to fight." she sniffed around for a moment realizing that what ever food had been here was now gone. "The food that was here is gone now, someone beat us to it. But perhaps the other place I know of has enough food." she offered. Mercy never enjoyed when others fought. Especially over something she knew she could fix or at least attempt to fix. She knew of a little butcher shop a couple of blocks over, but it's spoils were always out of her reach. There was always latched door that kept the meat out of sight, but nothe hidden from her nose. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Arya | 4.5 years | Female | Border collie | Mentions: Max, Ajax, Mercy, Tyger| . Arya heaved a relied sigh as she realized the dogs hadn't spotted her. Sending a quick glance behind her she considered going to find max, but she thought otherwise and inched towards the door. She slipped inside to see the pit bull and the fierce dog stand with their backs to her. She saw another dog standing atop a counter near a metal box. She tried to be as quiet as possible, but to her dismay she accidentally tipped over a broom that fell to the ground. She slunk down near to the ground, hoping they hadn't heard her, though she knew that was almost impossible to miss. Lucca | 4 years | Male| German Shepherd | mentions: Glacia, Cain, Goldi | Lucca dipped his head to the wolf-like dog. "Nice to meet you, Cain" he greeted him respectfully. He wondered whether this dog would approve of Glacia bringing him in to their small group. He didn't look Cain in his eyes for long, not wanting to challenge him. He kept his head low, in a respectful manner, and hoped what Glacia had told him was true. That this dog would warm up to him in the end and might accept him to their group. Tyger | Female | 5 Years | Dutch Shepherd Mix | Mentions: Directly-Ajax, Mercy Indirectly-The Bazillion other characters by the restaurant lol The male opened the door and entered, he was a heavily muscled harlequin beachfront only a few inches taller but a good forty pounds heavier than herself even though she was on the large side of her breed weighing in a little over seventy pounds. Scars covered his beautifully colored frame, telling of many fights won...after all, he still stood before her now. She paced back and forth on top of the countertop silver blue eyes watching from an onyx mask, maw stretched wide in a silent growl revealing pearly white teeth as silver brindled fur interacted with the shadow and light confusing the eye. He stood proud, as well he should, his deep voice demanding she leave….the females answer was a defiant snort. To her the fight would only be more exciting as they enemy was surely a worthy opponent, if a prideful one...he had seen many fights, but so had Tyger herself though she showed less scars from the interactions, the most notable being her left ear the top torn completely off and the scar stretching from shoulder to hip on her right side. Having gone to war at the side of her human companion she had fought everything from humans and enemy dogs to the native animals in the deserts and jungles she had traversed, ranging from poisonous or restricting snakes to large jungle cats...mighty creatures indeed, but perhaps not so difficult a fight as the weather and the guilt and depression come of killing others. The female did not actively wish to harm the male, but she could not deny the excitement, the challenge she felt at meeting another dog who had obviously spent most of his life fighting and winning. As the pregnant female tuned in with her astute observation Ty’s ears twitched. “She is right you know, there is no more food left here...only you and her, trespassing in my territory something I could forgive her for as she obviously has others she must care for and has not come to challenge my claim...you though...you are different, you challenge my claim. It would be interesting to see if strength and skill or agility and skill would win over...but that is not enough reason to fight, leave...now.” The silver female waited muscles stretched taut under brindled fur would the male stay in a fight for dominance? Or would he follow the other female to the generous offering of food? The female had not overlooked the Border Collie inching past the door, accidentally making noise on her way...another trespasser come to claim Tyger’s territory for her own in all likelihood, but not so serious threat as the huge fighting dog that stood before Ty. 0 players like this post! Alura | 3 yrs | Female | Akita | mentions : Max At his invite, Alura's ears pricked up. "Really? Are you sure? You and your sister won't mind?" She took a step forward, eyes flashing between anticipation and nervousness. "My name is Alura." She inclined her head to Max, introducing herself, and moved forward to stand beside him. She sniffed the air again, catching several other scents in the air still. "Are you and your sister part off a pack?
