Personality:
Khan is an aggressive cat with a taste for violence. Even in cubhood he had a rather strong inclination for brutality, but some of his more morally questionable traits were softened mildly by his best friend and later mate Anja. In a way she was the only conscious he ever had and he refrained from harming other creatures if only because he knew it would cause her grief. With Anja gone and a dark thirst for vengeance left to fester in him by the unknowing humans Khan is now a very dangerous cat. Let loose by the earthquake there is no telling what this tiger will do.

History:
Khan was born at a road-side zoo and raised up alongside an African Leopard named Anja, the two of them sharing an enclosure even in adulthood. The zoo's owner hoped they would become close and produce hybrid cubs. Khan and Anja did end up eventually falling in love, but they never managed to have any cubs together no matter how hard they tried. Initially both were heart-broken over their failure to provide one another with offspring, but an elderly lioness in the enclosure across from them informed the couple what a blessing it was they never had. She herself had cubs with a tiger in her youth and her hybrid children knew nothing, but suffering their entire lives. Unhealthy and diseased until they met their ends at an early age. "Love is never wrong youngsters, but children sharing both your genetics are not meant for this world. it is a sin against nature."

Khan and Anja took the lionesses' advice to heart and stopped trying. Months later however Anja was re-housed with an African Lion called Jazir in an attempt to encourage leopon cubs instead. The lion didn't take kindly to Anja sharing his space and treated her cruelly, eventually killing her. This has created a deep hatred for both lions and humans in Khan as he had to watch his beloved mate be abused every day and eventually murdered, unable to do a thing about it since he was kept in a separate enclosure. A few years after the zoo was closed down and all of the big cats were re-located to Cold Mountain Rescue.
