James' eyes fluttered open as his alarm went off, he was excited for today, but that didn't mean he wanted to get up. A groan escaped his lips as he slowly rolled over, turning the alarm off. He decided it would be best if he got up, so he wouldn't fall back asleep. Almost as soon as he sat up there was a loud banging on the door of his hotel room, his dad's voice could be heard from the other side, "James, wake up, it's going to be a good day." He let out a yawn as he stretched his arms over his head and slowly got out of the bed. He loved traveling, but sleeping in hotel bedrooms for state and national rodeos was never ideal. He let his dad know he was up and walked over to the bathroom, brushing his teeth then getting in the shower. It only took him about five minutes to wash off, then he got out and put on some jeans, a maroon t-shirt, some cowboy boots, and grabbed his cowboy hat. He looked himself over in the mirror, ran a hand through his hair, and slid on his hat before heading out the door where his parents were both dressed and waiting, along with his little brother, Parker. The four of them ate a quick breakfast then headed out to the rodeo, it was the first day of state competitions and all four of them were excited, this was Parker's third rodeo he would be in, he was only nine. As they arrived James led Parker over to a registration table where the two of them both signed in and got numbers for which competitions they were in. Character SheetsNo thread generated. James started laughing as he shook his head, "Sorry, but I don't think so." He smirked as he looked the guy over, "See you wouldn't want to leave whatever she drove here in because it'll get towed and you'll have to pay a lot of fines, so you can't make her ride with you because of that, and you can't make her drive, and you really can't make her drive home even if she would actually drive." He chuckled then looked back at Alexa, "Come on Lex, we have to get you ready for barrel racing." He winked at her as he was turned away from her brother. 0 players like this post! Like? |

James grinned watching her, "See, to me, it seems you're being a bad brother because you almost stopped her from coming at all today, and she's already won one event and might win another, so you're stopping her from being all that she can be. Shame on you." He chuckled and grabbed Lexa's hand walking with her towards the arena once again. Once they were away from her brother James smiled, "I really don't like your brother, can you tell?" "Well it's pretty fun." He grinned "I was actually kinda hoping he would've hit me earlier when I told him to, before I broke my arm." He teased and smiled at her, "Also, considering how badly I've been pissing him off today, you probably shouldn't go home." He nodded, "Yeah, that's probably right." He smiled at her then shrugged, "They'll be fine with it, I mean I have my own room and all three of them are in the room on the side of mine." He teased back, a smirk still on his face, he looked back at the clowns for a second before the announcements came on and the man said it was time for riders for the barrel race. "Guess you better go." He smiled down at her, "Good luck, I would say break a leg, but then you might actually."
