"The boss isn't here." He laughed and licked his lips, "Plus it's my job to look after you, if I say you need a lamp, you get a lamp." He shrugged, "I'll be sure to ask the employees if there's a genie, and maybe I can find a matching rug." He matched her sarcasm.

"Make sure it's all soft and fuzzy," she replied. She turned away from him, and her stomach growled. She then went to sit against the wall, and she folded her arms and set her head on them. Her gaze returned to him.

James watched as she sat down, "I know this isn't the best conditions, but it's also not the worst, trust me." He chuckled a little, "I've lived in worse." He shrugged before walking towards the door. "I'm about to go to bed, you sure you don't need anything, some water, food, anything like that?" He turned back, looking at her over his shoulder.

Margo straightened out her legs, and replied, "There is one thing I'd really like, but it probably isn't possible. So I guess not." She sighed. She wanted to know if she had been reported missing, then at least she would know if anyone was looking for her.

He turned around hearing her words, "Let me guess, are you reported missing yet?" He raised a brow, "Most people ask that the second day, you're ahead of the game." He chuckled a little, "Well, last time I watched the news was at 3, and you weren't." He shrugged and furrowed his brows, a small frown on his face as he delivered the news.

Her mom had probably stayed late at work, she thought. Her resting frown deepened, and she again fought back tears. She put her head back down into her arms, and she didn't reply. She was aching to pet her cat. She would rather have stayed up until doing math homework than this.

James watched her and wanted to comfort her, but there wasn't much you could do to help someone who just got kidnapped and found out they weren't reported missing yet. He let out a sigh and left the room, locking it behind him and going to one of the rooms down the hall.

Once he was gone, tears could no longer be held back. Everything that had happened that day had built up, and came out in heaving sobs. She had been kidnapped. And she hadn't been reported missing yet, even though she had not attended school, her stuff was scattered on the side walk, and she hadn't answered phone in who knows how long. She felt more lonely than she ever had, and the best thing she had going for her was that she hadn't gotten beaten.

James made his way to the room, throwing his towel on the floor of a bathroom as he passed it. He opened the door to reveal a red room with a king sized bed with a tv and pictures all over the walls. After taking off his shirt he slid into the bed and got comfortable, turning the TV on watching a few different shows.

After she couldn't cry anymore, she decided to go sit on the mattress. She got up and walked over, and folded her legs under her, weariness fogging her mind, but not wanting to sleep. The bed was not horrible, but it wasn't exactly comfortable. There were some lumps in it, but she had slept on worse ones than this. Why were there no windows in here, she thought, frustrated. Oh right, so no one can try to escape. Her mind went back to what James had said earlier, about the boss not being here. And that brought the question of who "the boss" was. Who would want to kidnap her? She wasn't exactly interesting, and she wasn't rich, even to an extent. So she sat there in the dark, alone with her thoughts.

James watched the tv, flipping through channels for a while before catching a breaking news report, it was about Margo, her mom must have reported her missing. James wasn't worried about that, they always got away with everything they did, they were smart about every crime they did. Besides, the head of the mafia, Sam, had a way with cops.

Margo moved herself to sit against the wall on the mattress, so she wouldn't fall asleep. In her mind, she was entertaining herself by recounting Parks and Recreation episodes. But soon, her mind slowed from exhaustion, and her eyes drooped.

James eventually fell asleep, the tv still on, some show playing that he wasn't very interested in. He was ready for a new day.

Margo dreamed about getting home after school. She then went to her room and there were socks everywhere, her cat sitting on her bed. "Ginger!" And her cat just looked at her all innocent. She picked all the socks up, and went to put them in the dresser that was in her closet, but when she opened the door, hands grabbed her from behind.

James dreamt about easier times in his life, before his mom's accident and his dad's downward spiral. They had a nice house with two dogs, he went to a good school and had a lot of friends. All of that was gone now. He often had dreams of these days, as he missed it all the time.
