In the morning, the skylight let in the greyish morning light. Margo was so tired, she didn't want to open her eyes. The memory of being kidnapped hadn't come bact to her, so she lay there in ignorant bliss, waiting for an alarm clock that wouldn't go off.

James slowly opened his eyes and checked his phone, it was 8 AM, so he rolled out of bed and started getting dressed for the day. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a design on the front, some joggers, and some black converse. He headed downstairs, passing Margo's room, and went get something to eat.

Margo's stomach rumbled, and finally she woke up. She sleepily looked around the room, and the previous day came flooding back to her. She had fallen asleep sitting against the wall, and her arms had goosebumps, despite her flannel.

James grabbed an apple and a bowl of cereal and headed upstairs, walking into Margo's room, "You want either of these?" He raised a brow looking over at her before setting it down on the table and waiting for her response before he started to eat either of the items he brought. Most people usually ate at least something the second day they were here, unless they were stubborn.

The door to her room opened and James walked in, and he was holding what looked like an apple, and a bowl of something. She couldn't tell what it was because of the small amount of light. She didn't want to eat anything they brought up, but she knew she would have to eat eventually.
"I guess the apple," she said with a tired shrug. She looked at her feet, and she shivered because of the cold wall behind her back.

James tossed the apple to her before starting to the cereal in the bowl. He looked over at her after taking his first bite and noticed she was shivering, "You know you have those blankets, right?" He raised a brow motioning over to the blankets beside her.

"Yeah," she replied, turning the apple around in her hand. "I fell asleep like this." She rubbed her neck, and leaned her head back. She closed her eyes, because she was still tired. She hadn't slept well.

He chuckled, "That couldn't have been too comfortable." He shook his head and went back to eating his cereal looking around the room in-between bites.

"Eh," she said. "I fall asleep in weird positions like this all the time, usually when I am reading. So I guess I am used to it."

He nodded as he listened to her, and after swallowing another bite he asked, "What kind of stuff do you read?" He looked up from the bowl of cereal to where she sat on the mattress.

She looked over at him, and she replied, "I would say almost everything. Comics, fantasy, action.Almost any type of fiction. I don't really read nonfiction much, though." She sat there wondering why she was telling him this, like he didn't know enough about her when he was a perfect stranger.

He nodded as he listened to her, "I don't read much." He shrugged and went back to eating for a second, "I guess I just never really liked it." James looked up to her skylight for a second before turning back to her.

Margo couldn't imagine not liking to read. "Well, that's too bad for you," she said. It had started to rain, and she could hear the pounding of the drops on the skylight. So much for sun, she thought. Now it has to look even more gloomy in here.

"Guess I should go look for that lamp, huh?" He raised a brow looking over to her. James stood and took his bowl with him as he left the room, being sure to lock it behind him. He went put the bowl in the sink and went to the room he had slept in, grabbing a lamp from a corner of the room and as he went to bring it to her he passed a bookshelf. It only had a few books on it, so he took the one that looked the best and held it against his side as he walked in her room.

James left the room and closed the door. She looked around the room, and she hardly thought a lamp would do any good. But at least she wouldn't be in next to complete darkness. Soon he returned, carrying in his hand an old tan-colored lamp, and something else that was tucked to his side.
"That was quick," she said. She looked up at him.
