Blizzardthroat

She wasn't much of a tracker and aside from the unclear barrage of scents she couldn't figure out what to do. She would introduce herself to the newcomer once he got back, she decided. Blizzardthroat felt her stomach rumble and made her way to the fresh-kill pile. She wasn't in the mood for something as substantial as the rabbit she had brought back so she settled down near the pile and began grooming herself. Thought the day so far, grass and a couple bugs had made her fluffy fur their home. She twitched and ear and laughed to herself as she imagined an ant flying off of her.

Badger nodded a greeting to Quickstep as he padded into camp. He trotted over to the freshkill pile and slid his freshkill off his back. He sits down and nibbles on the mouse he had caught.

Blizzardthroat

Looking up from her half-groomed fur Blizzardthroat saw a stranger pad into camp. He did look surprisingly like a badger, the name fit him she thought to herself. When he sat down in the vicinity of the fresh-kill pile she twitched her ears and spoke. "I'm Blizzardthroat. I don't believe we've met before." She curled her tail over her paws as she spoke.

Dropping his mouse , he looked up ,"Hello, I'm Badger. What's your name?" He asked. He wasn't sure how he should treat outhers, with him being an 'apprentice' and all.

Quickstep looked in camp, she couldn't understand how calm the two cats seemed to be. She was so confused. Cloudstar's disappearance, Alderfall's capture, Her kits, or just the fact that her disloyalty to the clan hasn't ended. Thinking to herself
}}} My kits will be loyal and..and strong. They will be the best warriors ever. Mabye one will be the leader some day....but what if they arent, what if they turn out like the-their father... What if their father finds out about them, what if he doesnt...I'm so confused.{{{
She could almost cry out in sadness and frustration and regret. Her tail thrashed begind her as her gase drifted to the sky. She prayed to Starclan to help her figure this out.

CloudStar huffed "what's the kits have to do with anything? I think I'll be fine with a single elder" she sighed, turning her head away from him "but fine. If you feel it's what has to be done, so be it" she muttered

"I'm Blizzardthroat, a warrior. Even though I've only been a warrior for about a moon now." She licked a paw and ran it over her ear, displaying her comfort. "Mind sharing a rabbit or something with me Badger-PAW," Blizzardthroat smirked teasing the new apprentice in what she hoped was a friendly enough manner.

Badger frowned at the new ending for his name. "Is that what you call 'apprentices?' " He asked, "and yes I wouldn't mind sharing a rabbit.". He smiled and switched the mouse he had for a nice rabbit, "Will this one do?" He asked.

Quickstep turned to look at her paws and began mumbling to herself.

Blizzardthroat

The long-furred she-cat huffed in laughter at his response. He fit in well, but he still had some vital information to learn. Taking a nibble out of the rabbit he had offered up she gave a short explanation. "In the Clans all the kits have the ending "-kit" in their name. So that cute ball of fluff, Shadow... would be known as ShadowKIT. Apprentinces, which are warriors in training have the ending, "-paw." And warriors are given a warrior name, with basically any ending. Leaders of course get the ending "-star," then she hushed her voice as if speaking of something taboo, "leaders get 9 lives too, from StarClan. They can die and come back," she whispered in awe. Schooling her features back to neutral she continued, "sometimes when outside cats ender clans though they keep their loner/ kittypet/ rogue name. It's up to each cat really." She shook her head and said, "enough of that though," and took a chunk from the rabbit. Nearly choking she sputtered, "I rambled too much! I forgot to ask, who's your mentor?"

"I think Alderfall was my mentor, sort of..." Badger meowed, then taking a bite of the rabbit he added, "He asked me if I could hunt or fight and I got a little...very.. indignant. I didn't really understand what he had been asking at the time..." he frowned.

"Ah.." Blizzardthroat nodded in understanding. Mentor-apprentice relationships could be difficult to manage, she knew from experience. "I think Misty's going to make a decision on what to do about those fox-hearted cats who have our leader and your mentor soon enough, she's a smart cat. I'd put my mice on her sending a small patrol to scout the area, you'll have your mentor back in no time." A mischievous smile slid onto her face, "and then we can turn those rogues into carrion."

"No, we cant. This clan, we, we're to small. There were so many." He meowed, suddenly getting a harsh and almost fearfully tone in his voice. His tail lashed and he took another bite of the rabbit.

Quickstep growled at her paws.

Alderfall

Alderfall thought about home. He could see Misty playing with the kits, Quickstep running through the grass, Badger lumbering around, asking if he could help with things. He should have been nicer to Badger.
His thoughts get carried away as he thinks about his clan.

Blizzardthroat

The she-cat flinched as Badger lashed his tail about. The harsh tone had made her think twice about what she had said, but she couldn't pinpoint what his aggravation had been caused by. The fur on her spine stood up in tune with her nervousness. Looking around the camp Blizzardthroat found Misty by the nursery and could barely see Quickstep by the entrance of camp who was busy looking at her own paws. She attempted to catch either of their eyes to help her calm Badger down, she hadn't know him as long as the other two had and feared damaging her attempts at forming a friendship by crossing a line. "I apologize," she dipped her head while trying to appear calm and collected, "I... I just want us to do something, anything. It kills me to know my leader and fellow warrior are out there in the paws of those fox-hearted rogues ." She spat the last word out like it was mouse bile.
