With a fast nod, Clearfox realized that she wouldn't make it. Scrambling towards the apprentices den, she storms in, seeing Troutpaw just waking up. "Troutpaw.." She says quietly.
Coming up to her, she noses the apprentice. "I need you to do something for me."

TroutPaw looked up at ClearFox, sitting up "yes, ClearFox? What do you need?" the small apprentice was clearly afraid she might be in trouble, but when the scent of vomit, sickness, and a hint of blood reached her, she suddenly seemed more worried "what's happened?"

Clearfox

Clearfox helps Troutpaw to her paws. "Troutpaw.."
She sighs, tears coming down. "I need you to be strong."
Licking the apprentices head, she hangs her head.
How do I tell her that Silverclaw is going to die.. it will ruin her..
Sniffing, Clearfox looks up at the young cat, wondering if she had already guessed.

TroutPaw whined, staring at ClearFox with wide, worried eyes "what's going on??" she whined, her head low "I-is SilverClaw okay? And MossPaw and DarkPaw? ClearFox, what's going on!?"

Clearfox puts her tail on Troutpaw's shoulder. She walks outside towards Silverclaw, looking back for Troutpaw to follow.
Looking down at her nursery friend and almost sister, Clearfox tries to wake Silverclaw. "Silverclaw... hold on one more time for us.. she's here for you."

TroutPaw, the moment she saw her mother, ran past ClearFox and laid next to her, the apprentice's face within SilverClaw's fur. SilverClaw, slowly and weakly, licked her daughter's head "...i love you, TroutPaw....please.....stay strong.....for me" she mewed weakly, her voice nearly a whisper and hardly loud enough for TroutPaw to hear

TroutPaw whined softly, feeling her mother go limp next to her. The apprentice soon started to cry, hearing her mother's breathing slow to a stop "i love you, Mom" the apprentice, feeling more like a kit now, whispered softly, pressing close to her mother

Foxclaw -Warrior - Tom - Camp - Mentions; Troutpaw, Clearfox, Silverclaw

Foxclaw watched the scene unfold, almost like he was outside of his body. He couldn't believe it, he didn't want to believe it. But here it was , happening right in front of him, he was jolted out of his thoughts when Clearfox touched him. He put his tail on her shoulder and whispered, "It's alright, Soulstar and your kits are going to be fine. Silverclaw will be fine now, hunting with our ancestors. And Troutpaw is strong, she'll be okay." But even as he said those words, he didn't know if he believed it himself.

Clearfox

Clearfox sniffs, getting off of Foxclaw and crouching by Troutpaw.
Not really hearing what Foxclaw said, she just whimpers as a reply.
She cries as well, leaning into Troutpaw to try and comfort her. She knew it wouldn't help, but she knew she had to try.

Sunflare

Running into camp from hearing all the voices, Sunflare sees the disturbance in the clearing, his eyes going wide. He runs over.

Moonfrost

Moonfrost was sleeping in the warriors den when hearing the commotion. She shook it off, curling up tighter and trying to block out the sounds.

TroutPaw didn't even realize ClearFox was beside her now. All she knew now was...her mother was gone. She wasn't in her clan anymore. She was with StarClan now

Foxclaw sighed as watched the cats grieve and mourn. He hadn't really mourned for any cat before, so this would be the first of many, he thought as he settled down where he was and bowed his head to say a prayer for Silverclaw and for the cats who were sick.
