Mosspaw

After finishing the fishing training, Mosspaw decided to leave the fish by the river, not wanting to take any chances with the strange smelling fish. Him and Ravenfeather made their way back to camp, and Mosspaw was shocked to see all the commotion in camp. The smell that filled his nose was horrible, but was shocked him the most was the smell of death. He came into camp and asked no one in particular, "What happened?" His eyes widened as he saw Silverclaw's still body lying on the ground. Mosspaw was frozen in horror.

Poisonkit opened his mouth to protest, but before he could even speak he heard the leader from the camp announce losing a life and saying that the fish was poisoned. A sudden shock came over him and guilt took over. Then anger came upon him and he spat out. "You shouldn't have worried about me! If you had stayed with Soulstar you could've saved his life!" He hissed, staring directly at Poppyfreckle. Quickly he realized who he was talking to, and twisted his head and looked away in mental defeat. "I was just overwhelmed, it was too much for me to handle seeing everyone sick like that, it just came way to fast." He mumbled. "But I just needed a second, I think now I might be fine." The young kit mumbled.

Darkpaw - Apprentice - Camp - Mentions: Mosspaw

"She's dead" Darkpaw said thickly and sighed, walking over to her brother and pressing her forehead into his shoulder. "Our clan needs our help Mosspaw... We need to move the poisoned fish out of the fresh-kill pile and we need fresh prey from the woods.... I want to hunt, can you take my place and help Troutpaw with the fish?"

His ear flicked and he stood up, "really?" He padded over, he gave the fish a sniff and he scrunched up his nose. "I hope you didn't put that in your mouth though.. it was a good catch but, I am not sure what is wrong with it.. I better check the other one.." He went over to the fish he caught and sniffed it, it also smelled weird.. how didn't he notice it before? He looked to Mosspaw, "I don't think we should bring these back.. maybe we could bury them to keep any cat from eating them and maybe go back to camp see what is going on.. maybe some cat will know?"

"She, she's dead? She can't be..." Feeling Darkpaw's head nudge his shoulder, he looked over at her, and said,"Yeah, I will help Troutpaw.." But he didn't move from his spot. Silverclaw had been there for most of his kithood, and he was totally shocked.

Walking into camp, he slowly made his way to all of the commotion. His eyes went wide at seeing Silverclaw, he looked around, he wasn't sure what was happening.. he muttered to himself and didn't care if any cat heard him, "why starclan.." He was just as shocked as any cat.. he didn't know what to do right at that moment..

Poppyfreckles eyes turned into thin slits as he looked down at the kit, soon his eyes softened "its fine..he was going to lose a life anyways. poison is poison" he sighed as he picked the kit up and put him in the middle of the clearing. "instead of leaving your dead clanmate you should grieve for them... thats the least a kit could do" he mumbled as he whipped around and headed for Beetlekit. "are you feeling well?" he asked looking down at the kit.

Clearfox got up, leaving Palenight without saying a word. She had to make this right, and she wanted her children back.
Sneaking out of camp and making sure no one looked behind for her, she ran towards the river.
My children will not go like this.. I will not allow it. If there's any life left in me I will use it to protect my clan and my family.
Swishing her tail, Clearfox didn't look back, making her way towards the source with haste.

TroutPaw noticed ClearFox leave camp. She tensed, she couldn't be leaving again! The tortoiseshell apprentice, silently, followed her friends' mother, following her scent and trailing behind enough to not be seen. She just lost her mother, she wasn't going to let DarkPaw and MossPaw lose their mother too!

Clearfox, Mentions-

Arriving at the river, Clearfox bends beside it, smelling the water. It smelled... sour.
Inspecting the current, there was no way the poisoning would be coming from down-stream, so that left her with only one option. Taking off up the river, she looks both ways constantly so that no animals were following her. The familiar clan scent tickled her nose, so she kept moving without looking back.
I will save you my family. Hopefully it will be enough for you to love me again.
