Unfortunately not, it is 30 dollars on steam now, i think? I'd say wait til summer sale to see how it goes, haha. Otherwise it is pretty hard and unpredictable, in a frustratingly fun way. (Don't go on public servers, its like trying to walk through mollasses progress-wise.)

Hello, I have returned with characters. Just a question, will the human characters be able to tame dinos as we go and then we sign them up then?

Name: Jacqueline (Jac)

Age: 14

Gender: girl

Appearance: Jac is a small girl, only about five feet tall. She has vivid green eyes and curly dark brown hair that she usually pulls back into a ponytail.

Personality: Jac is a quiet, observant girl that prefers to listen rather than speak. She is more optimistic than most, and can see good in most situations. Even when dinos try to eat her, she doesn't like to hurt them, instead seeing them as beautiful, misunderstood creatures. She will try to tame every single dinosaur she comes across, mark my words.

New Survivor?: Relatively new. Has been on (in?) the ARK for two days now.

Brief History:
Before the ARK, the Jac's biggest worries were getting A's on tests and taming her unruly hair. She doesn't quite know how she got here, but luckily, her obsessions with reading, science, and the TV show LOST might do her some good here. Jac was most definitely a "dino kid" up until about age 9. She could rattle off facts about any given species on the island, and retains some of that knowledge.

Species: Dire Wolf

Gender: Male

Personality: Puppy seems to jump at any opportunity for food. Honestly, he is just a puppy--he is very energetic and playful. He is growing extremely fast, and can't ever seem to find enough to eat on his own. He's on his own for unknown reasons, though Jac suspects that his mother and litter were killed by something big.

Appearance: Imagine a wolf she size of a horse. Its silver fur coats a very muscular frame. A short muzzle with snaggle teeth that could probably rip someone's arm off.
Now, picture the younger version of that-- about 3 feet at the shoulder, the size of a huge dog. His snaggle teeth mostly just nippy puppy teeth, as he hasn't finished teething yet. He is also thin from hunger; his silver fur clings to his bony frame.

And yes, you may tame as many dinosaurs as a person can handle, perhaps more if they manage to form a group. I'd imagine Fume and Sen have their hands full trying to manage their tames and keep them fed. Two hands might be able to handle a carno, and a rex or giga or brontosaur would be a large group undertaking.

Gigas and brontos are in my shit book tho, those guys are assholes.

Actually, for the most part Sen lets her raptors do whatever the hell they want. They get her smarts, she gets their strength. Mutually beneficial, and they hunt for themselves xD

Ah, makes sense. Might be a pain rounding them up, haha. How many someone can handle can definitely vary, since different animals need different needs, especially the big ones. If someone can't handle multi-tasking a bunch of critters or have the stables for it, they might wait til they do o3o

Name: Isaac

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Appearance:

About 6'4, with a muscular frame and wide shoulders. His skin is very tan, and he has dark brown, almost black, hair that is kept a little longer and is slightly curly. His eyes, by contrast, are a very light grey.

Personality: Although he pretends to be more of a loner, Isaac will cooperate and even help people in need until they can survive on their own. He's tough, but won't leave anything to die, and will help animals that have hurt themselves. Other than that he seems relaxed and confident all the time, like he has no worries.

New Survivor?: No

Brief History: Isaac is a little vague about his past, but he has no problems surviving in the wilderness with few tools, and seems comfortable and confident in bad situations. He never seems to stay too far from the sea for long, however, except for when big storms hit.
He built his home at the base of Weathertop, along with a large "stable" of sorts for his dinos. He forages some, but also has a sort of garden to grow things, and has little trouble hunting. Isaac seems to be well rooted where he is, and unwilling to move.

Tamed Dinos: Shortly afte he first arrived, he tamed Rip, a beezlebufo, while exploring a swamp near his base. Later he tamed Fox, a Dilo he caught stealing from his food stores.

Species: Beezlebufo

Gender: Male

Appearance: Extra large for his kind, but no less agile than normal. His skin is patterned with all sorts of greens, and he has yellow eyes. His saddle is brown, but stays in the stable unless Isaac needs him as a mount.

Personality: Standoffish and stubborn, Rip only listens to Isaac, and sometimes only then with a bribe of food. He's a good and loyal mount, only letting his master ride him, but occasionally is tempermental. Especially when he has to pull things. If not with Isaac, he can be found napping in the stables or soaking in a pond nearby.

Name: Fox

Species:Dilo

Gender: Female

Appearance: A smaller Dilo, she is a greyish color on most of her body, with bright green, red, and orange markings on her frills. She has bright orange eyes that seem to glitter with intelligence.

Personality: Fox is sneaky, and often a very successful theif of food because o her smaller size. She has a curiousity towards most humans, unlike most of her kind, but reacts badly if she senses Isaac doesn't like something or someone. Usually she will be found following Isaac around the base. Usefully, she also leads Isaac to animal carcasses so he can take them for food.

@Hawk: Accepted! And aah, a beelzebufo! They're quite good to have around, cause when they eat bugs they make cementing paste C: Quite a few high-level saddles, etc need the stuff, so I've seen it be used as currency!

And yup, it is going to be open, I'll actually be making the rp thread today, if I have enough time after some baking <:

That brings me to the next point: there will be a plot starting, and I'll drop NPC posts in as well as my own character posts. They will be marked as "Current Events." This could range from attacks, weather, and other things. A general npc tag I can use to spice things up. As for the plot: there have been sightings of Giganotosaurs increasing in numbers and starting to spread to lowlands. They are terrifying foes, and will need to be dealt with.

I was wondering, Winder, since my Giganotosaurus [ Wich i thought of before you said the plot, just to let you know xd ] can be part of the event, as he/she will start as a wild dino. Perhaps, later on, someone could tame him/her.
