It was. Pretty successful, too, actually, until winter. Everyone gets busy around then. *shrugs* I hope this goes well, too. ![]() |

Heyo~ Ah, also - if the serum is a dominant substance than would Alex's recessive human blood be entirely consumed by it, or is his genetic history ok (one parent serum-induced halfblood, ended up half-human/halfblood, needed more serum to even it out)? I haven't really studied genetics much so I dunno how it would really work in the general sense. eve ![]() |

I think I'm going to go with the cat. It just fits her so well >.< And, hello, Imperial. @Trash- it wouldn't be needed to even it out. In this RP, the serum is dominant, whether it's passed down or I jected. There are few cases where the off spring doesn't shift. It's parents would have to be half&human, and their recessive traits passed rather than the dominant serum trait. ![]() Edited on 22/06/16 @ 14:00:12 by Jacques CP Faircross (#47535) |

Cute little kitty <3 Aaah, alrighty. I had assumed the human part of his genetics would clash with his halfblooded DNA, but I suppose not. c: I'll go ahead and fix that~ I'm doing good ovo You? Also I think, from what I've read, the serum is the origin of halfbloods. When injected, it dominates the DNA of a human and turns them into a halfblood. So basically it created the first one, and that's how they came to be? I might be wrong, I probably am in fact. xD So don't take my word for it. ![]() |

Black American short hair cat, but b believe me, she isn't cute. XD She's on page one with Kaileh. I haven't finished yet. The serum was created a long time ago by Dr. Corvelis. It came along when his wife became utterly I'll, and he became frantic to help cure her illness. She, and multiple others, became test subjects. After multiple trial and errors, he finally got it. His wife was cured! Or so they thought. Life went on, but one day, she shifted out of now where (I forget her animal, so I'll get back to you later on that). Later, she founded the Academy, for people to learn how to control themselves. By now, the serum had been wide spread, because no one knew that his wife would shift, so the serum had been shipped to everywhere. That's the basic history, I'll put up a link of where I wrote it all down later. Most people don't know that much about the history, just the fact the Corvelis made the serum, gave it to. His wife, distributed it, and now it's everywhere. It all happened to long ago, and no one cares about the fine details anymore. The Serum- So, the serum is like a dominant trait. Know what a punnet square is? I'll try making it as best as I can. S= Serum dominant. s= Normal recessive. Here are a few examples: Human&Halfblood (halfblood homozygous) s---s SSs--Ss SSs--Ss 100% of the offspring will be halfblooded. Halfblood&Halfblood S---S SSS--SS SSS--SS 100% of the offspring are halfblooded. Now, it is very, very rare that the trait isn't passed when one of the parents isn't halfblooded, but it is possible. Does that make sense...? ((Also, I'm going to be gone for about 3 hours. So I won't be active/responding for a while.)) ![]() Edited on 22/06/16 @ 14:44:14 by Jacques CP Faircross (#47535) |
