Name (LATIN ONLY): Sphodromantis Viridis Continent/Country: West Africa [Sahara Desert] Average Size: Females can reach up to 3.9 inches [10 cm]; Males are often smaller. Image/Article Link: [Source - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphodromantis_viridis] Additional Note: I'm aware that Mantids are, in fact, not beetles - But neither are Scorpions. I was thinking this could be another Beetle Nemesis available in the Gorilla Enclave. Perhaps, since females are larger, they could be the ones to battle rather than the males? I'm just spitballing, mantids are cool. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name (LATIN ONLY): Phidippus audax Continent/Country: North America Average Size: 13–20 millimetres Image/Article Link: Wikipedia Article and a Bugguide article on variations. Selection of images: Male - Female - Random pic of face - Picture of an adult w/ white spots - Really beautiful p. audax bryantae, a variation (used above) I suppose this is really a beetle nemisis, but the original gorilla enclave post mentions spiders and I didn't see anybody suggest a good old jumper yet so I wanted to! I might suggest borrowing the looks from close phidippus realatives for variations as well, such as Phidippus johnsoni or Phidippus regius 0 players like this post! Like? Also, the genus Caligrapha has a huge variety of patterns that you can use as marking inspiration, similar to how you handled the Valentine Event's ladybugs. You can see this variety in the images listed for this paper. --- Name (LATIN ONLY): Pachyrhynchus gemmatus Continent/Country: Southeast Asia Average Size: 20-25 mm Image/Article Link: No sexual dimorphism. (Honestly, though, I recommend looking up the family Gonyleptidae in general. They have the coolest harvestman species you can imagine and any of them would make awesome beetle nemesis) --- Beetle Nemesis Suggestion Name (LATIN ONLY): Panorpa communis Continent/Country: Widespread through Europe and Asia.
