Appearance
Standing at only 5'9ft in height with a skinny build and not much muscle, Sawyer isn't that much to look at first. His figure is skinny but lean and doesn’t show a lot of the muscle he has gained during his time on the ship. In general, his appearance doesn’t exactly scream ‘intimidation.’ However, during battle do not underestimate him, this boy uses his intelligence and appearance to manipulate his opponent. Looking weak and harmless towards his attacker before going in for a surprise attack when his attacker is distracted. The boy has soft pale skin that barely has color to it, only a slight pinkish tone to it. If one were to get close enough to him, you may also notice a very light sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of his nose and speckled on his high cheeks bones as well. Like almost everyone on the ship he has his share of scars, whether big or small. The most noticeable is a slash mark across the bridge of his nose, blocking away many of the freckles. He has a soft feminine face with slightly round cheeks that curve down to an also soft but prominent chin and jawline, making him look younger than what he really is.
Sawyer has intelligent, expressive, and curious eyes and tinted with various amounts of brown coloring, almost resembling the color of blood. His head is covered with large chunks of dark brown puffy hair that seem soft to the touch and stick out in different directions and angles. His teeth are what throw a lot of people off, nobody really expecting a person like him for his mouth to be armed with elongated teeth. His pearl white teeth are not your normal human teeth, the canines are longer and sharpened to a point, even the rest of his teeth look a little sharper than normal.
He usually wears black, lace-up boots that reach up to his knees with a white long sleeved button up shirt with a dark red vest with an intricate black lace design on it. He also wears black pants that are stuffed into his boots and black fingerless gloves to go along with it all. He has various belts tied around his waist holding different items such as tools, bottles filled with odd substances, and holsters for his guns and swords. He carries different weapons upon himself, two duel swords, two medium-sized pistols, and a small hidden knife in his right boot. He has three piercings in his left ear, one lobe piercing and two on the top of his ear, one of the piercings is connected to the lobe piercing by a small gold chain. He also has two piercings in his right ear, a normal lobe piercing and one on the top of his ear.

Personality (I’m not the greatest with personalities so please bare with me and help me with any mistakes I might have done.)
Sawyer may not seem like he should belong on a ship full of pirates, however, once you see him during a fight you might have second thoughts. He has happened to take it upon himself to nickname almost all crew himself, whether they like the nickname or not.
Sawyer can be quite a manipulative boy behind his cheery personality, mostly due to his large amount of intelligence. Sawyer has been known to be pretty manipulative with people he considers his rivals or enemies, and can become quite ruthless when something gets in between him and his goals. Sawyer also suffers from BPD, Borderline Personality Disorder. He has a horrible fear of abandonment or being completely isolated from people close to him. He seems to shift rapidly between hating and love, one minute he may be very cheery and open with others, the next he becomes very sour. He can’t control it a lot so sometimes he may act or say something without a reason.
However, this doesn’t mean that Sawyer is a cold and heartless person. He actually is a pretty compassionate person. He does care very much for his crew, seeing them as a family since they basically took him in.
This boy has a true talent for inventing and tinkering, always fixing broken machinery or basically anything he can get his hand on he will fix. He loves to figure out what makes the machinery tick and will dismantle his projects and put them back together. He also has a talent in duel sword fighting and it pretty good with a gun, mostly learning it all from his uncle and now the crew. Sawyer has taken a liking for feathers, swiping them from the ground that birds leave behind or from traders and adding them to his fake wings if they seem to match the colors and not damaged. He also collects skulls of animals, putting them in his small collection of odd items. He even has a necklace; the pendant is a piece of bone carved to look like a realistic skull of an alien-like creature. In the mouth is a sphere of glass, inside of the sphere is a bunch of moving clockwork and trinkets.
Sawyer can have his moments where he can be quite the charming and 'suave' being, however, his confidence has to be bursting at the seams for him to initiate any sort of flirtation, seeing how he can be the considerably shy and bashful being when it comes to initiating any sort of romantic interaction.

Brief History{Keep it brief}
Sawyer lived in a broken family of sorts, his mother, Alia, left his father and him cold-heartedly when Sawyer was at the age of five years old. His father, Castiel, was an inventor and fixed many things in his shop for him and his customers. They both lived on the second floor of the small workshop, it was cozy and sustained the two just fine. Sawyer became enthralled with his father’s work, helping his father out in the shop and even attempting to fix small toys and trinkets that his father would give him to keep him busy. His father and Sawyer were very close to each other and mostly bonded over their love for fixing things. However, like everything in the world, not everything will stay perfect for long and will slowly decay. Money was becoming harder to gain as fewer customers arrived, leaving his father to become in poverty and unable to keep the shop and unable to keep Sawyer. His father with a heavy heart handed over Sawyer to his brother, David, who was an older gruff gentleman but he was able to sustain a suitable home for Sawyer.
At first, Sawyer and his uncle didn’t hit off, both too stubborn to comply with each other’s presence. However, as time flew by and Sawyer grew older and spent time with his uncle. He soon learned more and more about the world and what it had to offer. His uncle was a pretty wise and gentle man under the stone cold mask, his uncle taught him the basics in how to handle a gun and sword fighting, just basic self-defense.
However, at the age of 19 years old, after when Sawyer thought he finally was able to live in peace. His uncle had not come home one night after going out to go drink. At first, Sawyer did not worry, thinking that the man got himself too drunk and fell asleep at the tavern. But as time flew by and it was morning, Sawyer began to worry, his fear of abandonment quickly rising. He made sure to check at the tavern but the people there said they had not seen him. Finally, after a few days of searching, people had heard the news that someone found his uncle’s body lying dead in an alley, far from the tavern.
Sawyer was heartbroken, maybe not as heartbroken when he left his father, but still, he was heartbroken. After a few weeks of doing small odd jobs, he had a run in with a few nasty people, however, if it wasn’t for a lucky encounter with the Iridium, Sawyer would have found himself dead.

Fake Outcast or Real
Real Wings. Large, dark brown wings shaped like those of a Harpy Eagle with lighter cream colored bars across all of the flight feathers.

Appearance
Nathan's a sort of tall man standing at a height of 5'11 and weighing in at around 172lbs. His body build is solid and compact, with fairly decent musculature definition is his arms, legs, and stomach. His eyes are deep set with the inner corners down turned and are blue-green in color with small specks of gold around the pupil. With an angular face, Nathan's features are a bit on the sharper side as well as having well defined cheek bones. He more than often has a bit of scruff going on as he tends to avoid shaving for some days on end. His hair is medium length that he often keeps swept back, with ends that curl around his neck and ears and is a chocolate brown in color.

Personality
Nathan's emotionally balanced, which means he's less prone to depression and is able to cope well with feelings of anxiety, anger and vulnerability, as well as having a good sense of social awareness. While he's outgoing and enthusiastic, he also has a healthy skepticism of others motives and a belief in justice and being self-made. He doesn't feel nervous in social situations, and usually has a good impression of what others think of him; however, he does feel outraged when things don't go quite the way he thought they would. He can become overwhelmed by too much noise or commotion, but is tender hearted and compassionate, feeling the pain of others vicariously and is easily moved to pity, but generally he sees others as selfish, devious, and sometimes potentially dangerous if they're a pirate.

He tends to not express his emotions openly and is sometimes not even aware of his own feelings. He prefers familiar routines and for things to stay the same and can feel uncomfortable with change. Nathan would rather deal with people or things rather than ideas. Sometimes he feels a certain degree of hostility toward rules and and sometimes even enjoys ambiguity. Though he enjoys interacting with others and like to work with people one on one or in a small group Nathan believes that a certain amount of deception is required in social relationships, which can lead to people not trusting him. He's guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about himself to strangers.

Nathan is well organized and likes to live according to routines and schedules and will often keep scraps of papers with lists and plans written on them. He find rules and regulations overly confining and can sometime be seen as unreliable or even irresponsible by others. While Nathan has the drive to be a leader, or someone that can be depended on to lead in a crisis, his readiness to challenge authority and rules makes him and ill-suited candidate. Being a part of the Militia is what Nathan believes is best for him since he's better off taking orders and following rules rather than doing his own thing.

Brief History
Nathaniel comes from a family that wasn't very well off but not all that rich either. Life for Nathan wasn't that easy, what with both his mother and father resenting the fact that he was born with wings. From an early age he was taught by all those he knew that he was to always listen to those above him, those better off or in power. This taught behavior was what influenced Nathan greatly to go into the Militia. The set structure and rigid rules gave Nathan a sense of purpose while his weapons instructor was the one to teach him compassion and empathy. Nathan was chosen for this mission based on his loyalty and ability to follow orders while still retaining a semi mind of his own.

What Makes Them An Outcast

Wing Type
Pale painted, shaped metal and false feathering. The metal is aluminum and painted a very pale shade of yellow while the feathers are a deep brown, tan and cream color.

Appearance
Gidean stands at a solid six foot even and the only thing near feminine about him is his longer than average hair. He's broad shouldered and decently muscled with a well defined chest and stomach and large, slim hands. His hands themselves have many scars from various occupations he's had, and he usually tries to keep from chewing his fingernails off. Gidean's face is diamond in shape with high, well defined cheekbones, eyes placed evenly on either side of his nose, though they're the slightest bit close together. His eyes are a clear example of sectoral heterochromia, where his left eye is half blue and half green, while the right one is blue and brown. His nose is a little large, while his mouth is placed evenly downward. More often than not Gidean has a good growth of a beard going, though not too long to be considered mangy or unflattering, as he keeps it nice and trimmed.

Personality
Overly friendly but very private, calm but suddenly spontaneous and easily angered, extremely curious but unable to stay focused on anything serious for too long. Gidean is a challenge to predict, even to family and close friends, because while he can be very loyal and steady for awhile, he tends to build up a store of impulsive energy that emerges without warning, which sends or leads him off in a different direction to explore new things. Gidean's decisions stem from a sense of practical realism, and at heart is a strong sense of direct fairness, a "do unto others" attitude, which really helps to explain many of his puzzling traits. Instead of being overly cautious though, avoiding stepping on toes in order to avoid having their toes stepped on, Gidean is likely to go too far, accepting likewise retaliation, good or bad, as fair play.

The biggest issue with Gidean is that he often acts too soon, taking for granted his own permissive nature and assuming that others are the same. He'll be the first to tell an insensitive joke, get overly involved in someone else's project, roughhouse and play around, or suddenly change his plans because something more interesting came up. Gidean has difficulty in predicting others emotions. He has a tendency to explore his relationships through his actions rather than through empathy can lead to some very frustrating situations. Gidean struggles with boundaries and guidelines, preferring the freedom to move about and color outside the lines if he needs to.
