Thalath, I'm sure your designs are gorgeous! I feel like mine keep coming out too close to one another, you know? Under white 4 and cream/white facial 1 are my staples and show up everywhere somehow by the time I'm done designing. But if you want, I can try and play in the wardrobe for you tomorrow? I think you and I might have similar tastes. As depressing as it sounds, I think it would be best finding a well-marked cub and then just base changing to blush rose as opposed to trying to find one who was everything. Or maybe finding a nice sepia and loading it up with NCL marks, since they lend themselves quite nicely to natural designs (and unnatural too honestly).

Bezthiel, yes, dudley or butterfly will work just as well! Now that mention it, I do see that effect. I think he looks great, but if you're trying to appeal to the stud market, I'm not sure pearl is the best way to go. As Thalath said, the cream group is underappreciated. If you're going to go through the trouble of breeding a medium base, you might be better off doing lilac/celestial/skyward to appeal to the masses.

Oh, another lovely design! You just have one last mark to breed in? But I would definitely go the applicator route. Breeding a hematite is hopeless enough, let alone one with all of the marks that you need.

To be totally fair, it could have been because the people breeding to Diamante were doing random breedings rather than focusing solely on Dark Medium Countershaded Special x Dark Medium Countershaded Special, though honestly I doubt even doing that would have changed much :(

Lumina, yeah I think we probably do have pretty similar tastes. You can do that if you feel like it :) I'll see if I can come up with some designs to post later. I think it's mostly just that I can't go super crazy with them, since like I said, getting a super rare base with all themarkings I want is practically impossible. If worse comes to worst, I could try to get, for example, a Buttercream king and then try to get some Pearl girls to breed with, or breed the potential Buttercream offspring he has to other Pearl kings.

I've got two lilac lionesses that I'm hoping to breed some nice looking combo into, and if I can, I might toss one up as an heir. But so far I hate all of their cubs. And the few I don't hate look so similar to the existing Lilac studs. I dunno if I hate them because I'm not sure what I want to breed into them, or because I'm just so tired of it being black and white. Except for one mostly silky marked stud though, most of the active lilac studs have so many onyx and white marks.

I spent 500+ SB scrying Diamante x Swarovski and didn't see a single Sidereal. 2 Hematites, but ZERO Sidereals. Kind of feels like there's not even any point in breeding her, honestly.

It's almost like Sidereal is broken and absolutely cannot pass at all

I had much less time than I thought today (and I'll also be busy tomorrow too), but here's a design for a sepia base that I came up with. All you would need to do is get a sepia before November ends (which is still no small task). I tried to not cover up the base too much and let it speak for itself, but I worry that perhaps it's a bit too plain? Ah, well, you can play around with it if you want. The picture leads to the wardrobe.



Perhaps there's not much point in breeding for one now, but I think the medium base issue is a serious flaw in a fundamental element of the game, so I hope that it will be looked at soon.

I know what you mean, I bred to today's stud 6 times, and i got some extremely bad cubs. He did give me a bunch of crackle cubs though, now i'm stuck trying to decide between a lilac boy i spent a year breeding for, or an albino with onyx crackle for my next king -_-
