Hey guys. I've recently gotten a medium[Hematite] king so i thought I would join, as medium shades are also pretty :D.
My favorite is Pearl but I am a fan of most of the mid shades :D. Hoping for a lot more variety in my cubs now that I have gotten a medium king. of course, I'd also hope for some Hematite offspring, those are pretty hard to get.

I've come up with a couple good Sepia designs but so far no Pearl designs I've been too interested in... I'll probably share a few once I come up with a good Pearl and Blush Rose design

Wow Griff, you can't even tell he's Hematite! :o He's so pretty. The Lilac mane actually goes really well with his Mahogany colors. (Welcome, btw!)

Unfortunately with my Hematite king, variety is practically nonexistent. Yay nothing but Dun :/

I don't mind dun, it's a decent neutral color. Almost anything can look okay on it, even marigold. I'm always more disappointed about my awful luck with the special fails. Last king gave me more slate and chartreux than he gave me cocoa. This guy finally bred me out a natural maltese at least, and with a cream darker NCL of all things. Then a Buttercream from another!

You have such a pretty boy, Griff! I love his markings together with his mane. I'll definitely have to see which of my lionesses go well with him.

I would agree that dun as a base is all right, but it gets a little boring when it shows up so often. But I'm glad that some cool bases, Bezthiel!

I came up with a pearl design, but I'm not sure sure about it. I'm finding Pearl pretty hard to design for as well, and I think I may have covered up the base too much this time...



It would require an onyx vitiligo applicator in addition to piety and oasis junk, but all you would really need to breed is the base again.

I love it, but if you're worried about covering the base, just tone down the shaded onyx a little. Somewhere between 50 and 80%?

I did a bit of an altered version of Lumina's design to suit my tastes slightly more... although my tastes unfortunately include some breed-only marks. :/

EDIT: Oh also while I'm at it here's my Sepia design

Hm, that's true. I have this terrible mentality that all markings need really high opacities, I think, but I'm trying to break out of it.

Woah, I really love your spin on the design! It'll be a tad difficult to breed, but I really do hope next month might bring something that will make it easier to obtain.

Thanks for compliments about the king. I only recently crowned him. Used most of my old king's design but with his special marks worked into it. I still have to up his Feline mark, cause it will look gorgeous when at 100% and mingling with the mottled. I may also up his golden leg spotting but well, that is kinda invisible anyway, but I like 100% rounded out marks.

I have a couple girls giving birth tonight, plus I bred a couple more today. I'm not expecting much since 3 out of 4 of these litters are 1 cub litters so far (did you know: 1 cub litters used to be even more common?? Yeah...)

i know 3-4 litters r uncmoon i had sum born recently but no mottleds ugghs n but form event stud decent out of two cubs on eim keeping has prune mane color n 4 good markings :)
