Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread ![]() Before each post you must put this: Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The battle won, Remington’s pack have reached the top of the mountains. They must begin the trek down over loose stones and giant sloped boulders. Ahead of the base lies a plateau of uneven ground, cracked like a desert but dark like a muddy puddle. It is unknown whether the surface will hold the pack, or what lies beneath should it collapse. To the far left the mountain range wraps around this plateau and into the distance, and to the far right the mountain range ends and gives way to thick woods covered in dense bushes and vines. Once again the pack must make their choice for direction… Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.![]() Edited on 03/10/16 @ 09:34:42 by Rusty [Skyward 1.8k stat 3cel] (#39276) |

Dakota ~ Male ~ 3 Years ~ Lead Hunter Location: Mountain Mentions: Hunting Party, Velvet, Pack Dakota listened to the pack converse, greetings and smile were exchanged. As he scanned the group of somewhat familiar faces; when Rivers caught his eye. Instantly he jumped to his feet and he took a few quick steps towards her and Kade, wanting to help, but he stopped. They hadn't exactly left off in a great place and she is really tired... Instead, Dakota stopped himself and turned away, leaving to give the females space. He sat away for a bit until the mention of a hunt caught his attention. He listened to Velvet's question and stood up. "Sure, I can lead a hunt." He began heading towards the forest but paused. "Anyone who wishes to join and help provide for the pack follow me. This can be a good way to prove yourselves..." He spoke loud and clear, with a sense of pride and dominance. He aimed it towards the new bodies that seem to want to join their pack. Without waiting, he headed towards the forest to begin a hunt. ![]() |

Milo // Male // 4 Years // Loner As he watched the pack from his hiding place, another wolf wandered into Milo's sight. An oddly coloured male, one he was sure had caught sight or scent of him. Staying stone still for a long few moments, he was relieved when the wolf moved on towards the others, rather than coming to him. Even so, he wasn't sure sticking around was the wisest thing he could do, especially if he was pointed out. Adding to his relief, they seemed to be splitting up, a few of them heading towards the forest. It was likely they would hunt there, though he wondered how successful they would be in the dense wooded area. He himself wouldn't have been able too without getting stuck somewhere or being spotted... but, that wasn't really his problem was it? They weren't his pack. ![]() |

Bin | Male | 6 months | Pup The fluffy black youngster lifted his snout in the air, closed his eyes and sniffed furiously. After a long moment, his eyes snapped open and he announced in a loud voice, “This way!” He turned around to the yawning wolf behind him, immediately bit her ear and pulled. After being shaken off, he bounced around happily and threw his paw in the general direction of the top of the mountain. “This way, Petra! I know my pack is this way; I can smell them.” Petra | Female | 3 years | Loner/Unranked Petra glared at Bin as she ran her paw over her ear a few times. Pup or not, teeth on fur and skin still hurt. After a few seconds, she sniffed the air herself. He wasn’t entirely wrong. There were other wolves in the area, but they didn’t have the same scent as him or any of the leftover bodies from his pack she’d came across. These were different wolves—a pack, which was just what she was looking for. Hopefully they had enough room to add one more to the bunch. Ever since this pup joined her, all he did was give her headaches, scare off hares, and play with her moral compass. She never purposely sought to do good or bad things; it always just happened to work out that way. But here she was faced with an actual decision that’s impact she cared about. To tell him the truth about his pack or let him go on believing the lie that they were still alive and well? It bothered her that she cared to this extent in the first place. And just like she couldn’t bring herself to leave him, she found herself unable to hurt him with this fact as well. So she’d let him go on believing a lie. So what? At the end of the day it wouldn’t matter once she dropped him off with a pack. He’d be their responsibility and whatever happened from then on out was their business. She’d be free once again and could go on about her own business. Now all she needed to do was find a pack. Petra took another whiff to catch the scent of the wolves again, and started in that direction. “You’re right. I think your pack is this way.” ![]() |

Jasper Jasper flicked his ears as her stomach grumbled and the fae's body practically gave out on her. He moved forwards with a grim smile, wrapping his teeth around her scruff and picking her up. He barely felt the weight! They really had brought her down to skin and bones huh? He snarled at the thought, spinning on his silvery heels and taking off towards the camp. Jumping over dead bodies as swiftly as he could, not wanting poor Yuki to experience the shock of seeing all that, though he doubted it'd register in her mind. He could feel the hungered growls shaking her body and he winced for her. Making it to camp around 10 minutes later the wolf finally slowed and took her over to the carcass. It was right where he remembered it was, he placed the pup down next to it and nudged her forwards. "Eat, it's all yours. Just... Don't eat to much or it'll make you sick." ![]() |

Jasper Jasper's ears flickered and he rose to his paws as something moved towards the mountain, A flash of black highlighted with silver, "Lynx..." It was quiet and unheard by the other. She was bleeding from claw marks on her flank but he made no move to intercept and help. The female looked... empty... and Jasper wanted to part in talking to his former pack mate. That fae was a talented fighter that's for sure, and his head shook slightly. Slowly rolling back onto his haunches as she disappeared on the mountainside. His gaze then turned to little Yuki, starved and dirt, poor thing. She was watching him as she ate, probably thinking he'd attack her or something, she appeared to only be a few months old, maybe older since she wasn't filled out from the lack of food and proper exercise. He sighed softly, using a back paw to scratch at a persistent itch behind his ear. Tyrael Tyrael's head lifted at the promise of a hunt, being able to sink his teeth into something large. He bounced to his paws and trotted happily over to Dakota. Tail raised and swinging, though it wasn't in a dominating manner, his tongue lolling out of his mouth. "I'll help!!" Ty announced to the lead hunter, his whole body radiating with happiness. Though strangely, no one had really paid him any mind, nor his strange coat. Which he gladly appreciated! The male misplaced a paw and nearly went crashing down the mountain if it wasn't for his quick reflexes, he watched the loose rocks he had stepped on go rolling down the side and shudder. That could've been me! Must watch my footfalls more carefully.. He told himself sternly, before his ears turned towards everyone else. -so short- ![]() |

Katsumi|Female|Pup|Location: Forest|Mentions: N/A Open| Katsumi had been running for hours without rest, still fearing the hunter was still behind her. Heaving, she jumped into a bush and collapsed. Cold, tired, hungry and weak, she lay there. Her blue eyes closed as she waited to regain the little energy she had. Her tail hung limp outside of the bush and she was too tired to bring it in. She would blend in regardless. Her tail seemed to be the only clean part of her. "No one would care anyway..It's not like I have family left.." she thought. Her eyes opened halfway when her stomach growled. She was hungry and thirsty..There was no water nearby and she doubted there would be food as well. Against her own will, she shakily rose and walked out of the bush. She sniffed around, looking for any source of food or at least another wolf. ((I hate first posts..)) ![]() |

Hazel || Female || 6 years || No Mate || Loner (ex-hunter) || (Appearance soon) Hazel had returned to the pack’s den site after the battle, alone at the seemingly empty dens. There were injuries and blood stains all over her. She was in a state of shock, having just seen the defeat of Shadow, her alpha…her brother. Whirlwind, too, her closest friend, had gone down. She felt no regret over not jumping in to help with their fights; neither would have forgiven her for the interference. That didn’t mean it was easy to process their absence. Hazel was strong, cruel, vicious, and unafraid of death, but her brother had always been there at her side, fighting through life with her. With him gone, she was left with no purpose. The dark pelted femme had gone immediately to her den, where her newborn pups had been left during the battle. Out of sight and surrounded by the comfort of her own scent, her head began to clear. That was, until her eyes adjusted enough to see the blood stains. Her philosophy towards the young of the pack had always been that if they didn’t survive they weren’t worthy or tough enough. That had extended towards her own litter until now. Hazel hadn’t expected to feel the heart breaking moment that mothers of the pack had mentioned when they saw their pups dead. She stopped, staring blankly at the torn bodies of her young. From the bite marks, they hadn’t stood a chance. She stumbled forward a step, before anger took over. It wasn’t a surprise; it was her default states. She saw red. Her whole world had collapsed, the strength of her brother and pack having failed. She didn’t know what did this to her pups, whether a smaller predator or one of the disgusting traitors who had turned on their own pack mid-battle, but it would pay. Enraged, Hazel turned and was about to bound out of her den to pick up the scent trail when a tiny sound came from behind her. She looked back, shocked, and another squeak sounded. She slowly crept forward, a tiny seed of hope rising in her. She picked through the bodies and blood and very quickly found that the smallest pup was hidden beneath his brothers’ bodies, injured but still fighting to survive. She blinked. The runt had survived the attack on the den. Going against everything she believed in, her weakest pup was the only one remaining. The maternal urge to protect surged forward for the first time in her life. Of course she had cared for her pups, but she had always thought that if they couldn’t make it in tough conditions then there was no point in looking after them. This runt though, he was her only family left in the world. Wordlessly, she picked up the youngster and left the den. The anger hadn’t left her, her hackles raised and lip still curled up in a snarl. Blood stained her body, the blood of her own pups spread around her face after pushing their bodies aside, and in her jaws the few days old runt, covered in his siblings’ blood, hung limp and silent. Hazel’s eyes were narrowed, more focused now on getting her young to safety than getting revenge. She looked around, tense, and saw that she was not the only one around. Some time after she’d snuck back to her den Jasper had moved nearby. He was watching over the weak white thing that had lived with their pack for a while. She paused, tail lifting in dominance, to see how he’d react to her. ![]() |

Petra | Female | 3 years | Loner/Unranked It should’ve took fifteen minutes to reach the base of the mountain and another fifteen to make it to the top where the scent of the wolf pack lied, but Petra was quickly learning that normal things doubled in time when in the company of a pup. And she was convinced that Bin was a special case in himself. As they walked through the forest, he rambled on about something irrelevant. She’d only caught the words ‘fire’, ‘poison ivy’ and ‘rabies’ before she tuned him out. Part of her was curious how those three words had any connection, but the other part of her that didn’t want to hear any talking at all overrode that. She was in her own head as she continued walking through the trees, thinking about how she was going to ask the pack leader to take him off her hands. She could be straight forward and just say, ‘look, he needs a pack’; she could act more gracious and say, ‘I would really appreciate it’; or she could even tug on their heart strings with ‘this poor pup is in need of a loving bunch’. “Bin, how sad can you make yourself look?” When her question was met with silence, she turned to find him nowhere in sight. “Bin?” Bin | Male | 6 months | Pup | Mentions: Katsumi Bin followed the mouse at a distance, unsuccessfully trying to sneak up on it. Every time he got close, the mouse was alerted somehow and scurried off deeper into the forest. How far away he was getting from Petra was the last thing on his mind where catching the mouse was the most forefront. In between two trees, he put his body low to the ground and creeped closer to the animal. He could visualize himself jumping at the perfect moment and snagging its tail in his teeth. Right when he went to put it into action, a flash of moving white fur caught his eyes. Forgetting all about the chase, he turned his attention to the wolf sniffing about the area. His immediate reaction was to start over to her, but a sudden nagging thought in his head stopped him. Wait…did the elder wolves of his pack say don’t be too friendly with strangers or be friendly with strangers? As he watched her for a moment, he was sure the answer was the latter. Why wouldn’t they want him to be friendly? He pranced over to her with a smile. “Hi, I’m Bin.” ![]() |

Jasper Jasper repeatedly heard the paw steps and felt something watching them. He moved to stand over Yuki as he glanced around. A flash of black and brown and he knew exactly who it was. The female lifted her tail in a dominant manner, despite the fact he was a warrior. The brute didn't want confrontation so he lowered himself in a submissive posture though kept eyes locked on every movement she made. "Hazel.. Good to see your OK." Though the single pup in her maw proved otherwise. The large male froze, eyes widening, "Are they....?" He didn't dare finish the sentence. ![]() |

Katsumi|Female|6 Months|Pup|Location: Forest|Mentions: Bin| The pup's nose had picked up on the scent of someone else approaching, but refused to turn around. Fear taking over her mind, she thought someone was going to attack her. She yelped when she heard a voice. Katsumi turned around, cowering in front of the pup. "Hi.. " she whispered, her voice hoarse. ![]() |
