Returning to the neutral ground is also an option, though spells an immediate death to any foals below yearling age. I need input on this one. I don't want the dice roll threat being too high and upsetting people too much. I think color choices are just going to be based on the parent's looks, and we will use the Horse Color Calculator to determine the top three choices. The Horse Color Calculator already determines rarity and gives you percentages on what two parents might be able to produce. We can then roll a 100 sided die for those percentages, and whatever it picks is law? (Upon coming in with the applications, you can be whatever. Although albino, chim, and mutation will be EXTREMELY LIMITED. For example, we will open up a special app for one or something. And the chances of passing its genes will be super slim.) ![]() |

Instead, let;s say a stallion may keep a son around if he chooses too, and the yearling helps with something, like maybe his youthful alertness makes him useful as an early warning sign in case of danger. Maybe he gives a boost to foal survivability? ![]() |

The problem with that is that as far as somatic mutations are concerned, geneologists are not sure what causes them yet, so far the most we can conclude is that they are NOT genetically passed on. They just show up, seemingly at random. That's why I thought it would be useful to have them in the percentage roll. xD Note that they are very rare, that's why I gave them only a 5% chance. xD ![]() Edited on 05/11/16 @ 11:11:33 by Nisa (#16117) |

Okay, so if a stallion does keep a male offspring around... at age 1 1/5 said colt begins to assist in herd percentages. - 5% of herd members being caught during a roundup. - 10% chance of foal killing (by predator) The dangers: A colt/Young stallion can begin to challenge the herd stallion at age 5. (When they become fully grown) - This is optional to the colt. How does that sound? It's always risky keeping a colt around. Does said colt have chances at sneak breeding after this age as well? However if caught by said stallion, a challenge is evident. Mares have a lesser fertility rate when mating with the younger stallion. (Can only sneaky mate 4 - 5 years of age. Rate betters with age. Colts can accept challenges when the herd stallion is away. (such as taking a risky venture to the neutral grounds) Colts CANNOT be played by the same player as the Herd's stallion if going to be kept around. Herd Stallion can immediately rechallenge any victor that successfully took his herd while he was away. If he looses the challenge, he cannot return for 5 years. (a bachelor that won the herd can mate with the in-heat mares before the rightful stallion returns, rp only. some mares might be non-accepting.) A bachelor can only challenge once per season. A bachelor can only challenge the same herd stallion once every 3 years. ??? I NEED INPUT. I dunno about the mutation part. maybe a super low roll if a Colt, Filly, or Twins is rolled. a... 5% chance of mutation? 1-95 no 96-100 yes. If yes, we can roll a die like... if there are only 4 coat color mutations known for horses... we can roll a 1-4 die and see which one it lands on? ![]() Edited on 05/11/16 @ 11:20:53 by Soltero (#9059) |

Wait I have one too. See how many mountains are in territory? Rock slides. Same 50% chance as the drought in #3? Very injury instead of death? Like sprains and or scars ![]() |
