Does Skill do anything these days? I mean, other than help in PvP? If I remember right, there used to be a theory that Skill helped with the passing of stats, but that was ages ago. So it's probably not even a thing now, but I was curious.

It is possible for groupies to have special bases but it is very rare.
My side king was a groupie with Pearl base. I had to buy him off another player because the chances of finding one are very very small. I think only about 2-3 pearl based groupies were found in total over the entire event last year.

I also had a celestial based one, and saw a sidereal one and a couple others. But they will otherwise be like NCLs. No more than 3 marks and mostly common markings and bases.

Mutations have exploded in the last few months. There were about 20,000 total in the game around last April, and now there are over 70,000!
That's a huge increase over a rather short period of time and it's pushed mutation prices down a bit.

They are still usually fairly valuable though, as lions generally go. Even common mutations still go for around 2-4GB, ( though I've sometimes seen a couple for sale around 1GB or a little less if they are very common )

New or very rare mutations go for 10-60GB (often the most expensive ones also have something else of value like a rare base or markings)

Maneless is pretty rare so im surprised you're not getting any bites. Yeah, it doesn't pass so that might have something to do with it, but some people still like it for looks. (one of my goals is actually to get a maneless lol)

Wow, that is crazy! I've never been a huge mutation fan for the most part. I like some of the maned look for females. Not sure how I feel about Primal just yet.

And yeah, there's only 120 living ones out of the 70,000 mutations so I'm surprised I haven't gotten much. I'll PM you a little info on him if you're curious (don't want to clutter the thread with sales talk).

Grandpaw is SUPER new - it was just added a month ago! here's the news update on it.

Basically, it's a one year special role for your retired king. ^^

Edit: As for skill I believe it's only hunting success for girls and pvp for males but not sure.

Oh! Huh! That's kind of weird if you retire a king young and he suddenly gets old, but that's actually a pretty neat feature if you naturally retire!

And I figured Skill probably wasn't much use to my king. He just leveled so I was debating if I should work on it, or just use his energy for experience/exploring.

Groupies - male teens or adult females - have a small chance of having breed only traits: astral bases or eyes, raffle markings... but most of the time they have regular wild traits, or maybe custom.

So, I tweaked my king and spent way too much GB, but I think he looks nice and natural and subtle.

Now the question is...to breed or not to breed? Meaning, should I try a few litters now or wait until the cooldown on all my girls is gone and try and sync up their breeding cooldowns a bit more?

I breed all my girls as they come into heat. There isn't much point to trying to sync them up, you'll just end up missing opportunities.

I try to sync my girls so I only have to roll the minimum my side account, where I store the cubs once they are trained for the next gen. :P
