Ive had that too Bere! A Felis Ive had born only to be stuck with Basic Lioness as his mother's name. X.X I hate that bug with heritages, I hope admins notice it soon and do something.

I was told that it was always like that - but I've had cubs' heritages changing along with the names of the lionesses after them being born, soo... I'm confused. I remember being able to breed NCLs with no problem and then changing their names if their cubs were worth it, or changing them before chasing and them sticking. Maybe that was a bug? I liked it better how it was before, at any rate. I think it was reported as a bug, somewhere...?

It was indeed reported as a bug, and nothing but a bug it is. Because the name on the actual lion's page updates normally, it's only the name on the Full Heritage stays the same as it was during the cub being born. It makes no sense for the name to stick in one place and change in the other, so it's surely not how it's meant to be.

I have that problem too on my little Smilus heir. His mother was named by me as Fukaza, but is showed as "CRBed NCL" on his heritage. Very annoying! I do hope it gets fixed soon as I like my pedigrees to have actual names (at least for my keeper lions).

Yeahhh I reeeeally hope it's not another "fixed bug that nobody knew was a bug". It would make no sense for the names to stick to what they were during cub's birth... it's confusing, and really very very unpractical. X( 90% of the game breeds first, then decides if they keep/name that lion. It makes no sense for people to be obligated to name their lions before breeding them. X(

I agree. It seems a very odd design and I assume is probably a glitch in the heritage when it's being generated? Hopefully it's something that will get fixed/changed back soon.

That's a bummer. That kind of makes me want to make sure I name fodder lions something 'normal' just in case.

Yep, a new king and new pride goals/restrictions. You'll see a lot less sales from me - my pride will be allowing inbreeding now (as part of goals/lore) and I don't want to spread that inbreeding, plus my king isn't HM compatible now as a stud. However that will mean more chased girls from the pride!

I've added notes on my den page as to what breeding restrictions/goals I have - but in short, I'll have an eye out for NCLs with cheetah markings.
