Also, if anyone is concerned about lineage aesthetics, I agree with the above advice. Just name your girls whatever you would like for it to be in the lineage before she gets pregnant and has cubs, that will be the name that will stick in the lineage until the bug is fixed.

I posted my cub on the bug report, but yes, I'm definitely naming my girls well before breeding to be sure the resulting cubs don't end up with names like "fodder" or "chase after wean" or something on them.

It's still a shame though. I like my little heir, but seeing "CRB'ed NCL" on his pedigree irritates me a lot.

Hmm, to Primal my king or no? It gives me the fun option of trying to get Primal heirs. All Primal pride anyone? I mean, I know females can't pass it, but aesthetically it would be a lot of fun!

However, Primals seem pretty common so not sure if it's worth using one of the MODs I got from the Boneyard or just selling it in a little while...

Remember...regular Primals can give birth to Felis and Smilus, so it'd be worth it to use it. If anything, you can sell the cubs if you don't want them. ^^

A primal mod sells for boatloads, but a primal king will produce cubs that can sell for at least 1 gb each just by virtue of being primal, so it might pay for itself given enough time. Besides, I think he looks great as a primal! And anyone would look better as a felis or smilus! I think it's mostly common because it's a really major aesthetic mutation that's easy to get on demand, and having a felis or smilus king is a mark of status that shows your dedication and luck with breeding mutation variations.

Yep, I was thinking of that. And my guy has decent stats for heritage-less. He's nearly 900 now, so not amazing but not too bad so I was thinking Primal + ok stats might make him interesting to clean breeders, etc. Plus, he does look good and I do especially love Felis Primals.

And thanks, Amino! I think he does look pretty handsome as a Primal. I do have more than one MOD: Primal. So I can also use one and sell the others. I was planning to get a bit of GB to customize/pretty up the pride. My current "pride plans" was to customize the first generation and then not do it too much the next generations. Just to see what I can get.

Honestly, I'd love to have a "pure Felis" pride. Smilus is good-looking too, but my favorite of the Primals is definitely Felis. I love that lynx-like look. Both the females and the males look awesome to me and I'd love to have nothing but Felis. Of course, the only problem with that is if they're all from my current king, I'd have to do inbreeding.

Of course, my heir is a second-gen Smilus, but his pedigree is bugging me like crazy. Not the father, but the "CRB NCL" because of the heritage glitch. Ugh.

Getting a full pride of primals might be feasible if you mass-breed NCLs the way I've been doing. In a group of like 30 NCLs I usually get 1-2 primal cubs. But if you want all smilus or all felis, that's a much bigger investment. It would be incredibly impressive though! And I agree, it's better with felis - the lionesses can have it too, that way, and they get much different lineart than just the fur and fangs of default primal. It would be neat, but the logistics of getting that many felises (feli? felidae?) is just a nightmare.

That's true. I'd probably have to Pennyroyal every breeding to my girls. And hope a lot! And yes I love the way Felis females look. My goal would be 1 Felis male and 5 Felis females. Tough, but not impossible! And tempting just for the challenge.

My only concern is if I wanted to avoid inbreeding, I'd need to find a 2nd-gen Felis heir for the next king. I do have a Smilus, but that pedigree bug is driving me crazy. I admit I don't want to see "CRBed NCL" on my pride's heritages! I'm rather attached to him, but at the same time... *shakes fist at the bug*
