So I have a bit of a conundrum!

I'm trying to decide future breeding plans (and avoid inbreeding) so I basically have two options.

Option A - I can breed my girls to my king and basically keep his daughters, then try to find outside bloodlines for the next king to avoid inbreeding. The end result with this is I'd have to keep trying to find a proper heir for each generation, which is a bit of a pain since I want to keep "even" pedigrees with names I like for story purposes. It's probably the most "realistic" way to do it since female lions normally stay in their pride and it's the males that wander off.

Option B - I can breed a few of my favorite lionesses to my king and keep a male heir, then breed my other ladies to heritage-less/rolled kings and keep those daughters as the next generation of lionesses. The end result is the kings would have an unbroken line to my FIRST king, but I'd have to work pretty hard to find outbreeding for the other ladies to keep the bloodlines pure (unless I just kept the daughters of a single king maybe.). This is less realistic, but it's also kind of nice to have a line of kings. (I honestly wouldn't mind a line of queens if we could crown one, but the game is as it is, and I'm okay with that.)

So, what do you guys think? Option A or Option B?

So, personally, I find option a more feasable and less pricey and it's how I do things when I'm not starting over my pride (which is... often).

If you're worried about heritage aesthetics what you could do is breed selected lionesses to heritageless kings and hope for an heir that way. As long as the lioness doesn't also have daughters with your king, there's no inbreeding, and since you own her, you can be sure that she has a proper name and doesn't get chased, which is often a problem when buying cubs.

That's pretty much what "Option A" would involve. Breeding a lady or two to a heritage-less king in hopes of an heir. The main irritation would be NEXT generation, I'd need a second-gen king...then a third, etc. It's a pain to avoid inbreeding sometimes.

Option A is actually what I'm doing on my main which isn't HM but is clean-lined. The trouble with it in hard-mode is that there is a rule that you can only include outside lines (in your royal lines) if a) it's a heritageless king studded to your own lionesses, or b) that it's a second generation cub. So if you wanted to keep even lineage, you'd be stuck - HM rules would prevent it.

Option B would be perfectly fine for HM rules. Also remember - you can use a Lab Test Frog to turn your king into a female appearance, and thus could completely RP having a line of 'queens' as your leader of the pride!

Hard Mode is definitely much easier if you don't mind inbreeding. I honestly don't mind it much? I don't try for it, but it doesn't bother me in other prides. It's more just the challenge to keep the lines "clean" that I enjoy.

Just putting this out there for everyone to see because I don't know who will be on later, nor do I have set partner for this - Nor do I have a second account.

In a half hour (so 11:42pm LD Time), I am chasing 2 girls. One is an Anjeer Based girl. The other is an Ebony girl. I'd like the Anjeer girl back. But if anyone finds the Ebony girl, I'll take her too.

Huge brain fart here *rubs migraine away* so I know we can king our kings gen 2 cubs, or an cub with our Ncl and another heritgless king, or a gen 2 cub from our side hard mode account.

My main question is, can we king another users gen 2 cub with no relation to our main/side lion or chased/NCLs? Just making sure before my side king retires in a month or so.

@Grinch

Yep as long as the cub has no heritage beyond parents you may use it however you wish :)

Because I suck at math...asking this to anyone who may help with how many times a lionesses as to breed.
Oh god I hate word problems. This feels like that. DX

The girl I got is 9 years, 1 month old. She is currently on a 17 cooldown.

Assuming that I breed her on the first day of her next heat and wait the three days to birth her; as well as assuming the cool down is 20 days --- How many more times can she breed naturally?

Here, Aragami. Here's a little list/chart I have explaining it.
-------------------------
If this is the case, from 2 years to 14 years, there will be 144 days.

She would be able to breed:

2 years old (birth at 2.3)

3.11 years old (birth at 4.2)

5.10 (birth at 6.1)

7.9 (birth at 8)

9.8 (birth at 9.11)

11.7 (birth at 11.10)

13.6 (birth at 13.9)

For a total of 7 breedings. This can be increased to 8 breedings on using IBFs. This number could also be skewed down to 6 breedings depending on the day her very first heat falls on.

@Cerrates
Oh sweet. I thought so but wasn't sure. I just bought an older gen 2 Achromia submale that fits my time line perfectly until May :) as I haven't had any luck passing on my side kings 2 Siamese markings with my NCLs Siamese markings, i was just gonna bring some new blood in and keep my current kings looks.
