I also have a question to pose the clan. This is my hard-mode-bred heiress to the throne. What base should she be? The only limit is of course it being applicable, but I have quite a few applicators and dusts and a base changer and I just don't know?!

Id go gey-ish or brown-ish with her, maybe Hallowed, Opal or Ethereal? I think they go good with Mottled :D

Just play around a bit in the wardrobe, maybe add some markings, change some opacities and see where it takes you. Always helps me when I'm stuck and don't know wich direction to take with a lion of mine :D

@Valana, honestly, solid idea...and I was working on that...except there were so many things that looked good on her! Mott is one of those markinga that (along with her brindle) when it looks good it looks really good, and it looks good frequently, unfortunately (or fortunately)!

@Elyden, fiery looks amazing! And sadly is breed only :(. Fuchsia looks cool, I wonder how many hard mode studs there are with fuchsia? I have enough to make the app. I know that her sepia savage mane will only be one of a handful of studs with it and aside from her daddy, there is only one other stud with it that is clean (but not HM, I plan on doing a replacer for her next month).

As for tips, I can only tell you what was most useful for me in the beginning:
Get a general direction that interests you and then see where you can go from there depending on what NCLs you can get your hands on :)
I started with wanting to go natural colours, then fell in love with asiatic base and am currently hoarding NCLs with Vit markings to breed those into my pride XD

Chased lionesses and claimable npc's are your friends. And with May coming up, you can get groupies, so you joined at an optimal time for pride building. I recommend stashing and using apps to get your king and lionesses looking good of you want, or sell them for pride funds, and make sure you train you cubs and adolescents to build their stats. I also recommend keeping pride funds high to get chased lioness at the TC. I personlly love colorful lions and colorbombs, so I have to rely mostly on the chased lionesses I find.

Always stock up on apps, you never know when you might need them and they are a great source of new markings and bases for your pride!

Apps are definitely your best friend in hard mode. My king is rolled, and I customized him with apps. Even just the oasis apps can be useful. The NCL tracking and found threads are also really useful, as foumd unclaimed lionesses can be put up for sale, or you can chase an unclean lioness to wipe her heritage and get her back.
