I've been breeding golden ladies with Thick mane and/or Peach skin in hopes of getting some new breed-only traits for a possible next guy, and today she was born! If I don't get one with the traits I want form Taaj plus Peach skin, this little one will be my next looks' heir :'D

I'm about to do another clearout of the den, but I'm trying to decide which looks for my next king.

This one: Double Fulvous with Mottled Rosette & 2 Kimananjo Markings


or

This one: Double Nacarat with 2 Breed-only NCL markings and Royal Mane


I'm leaning toward the Double Nacarat for the Royal mane and the fact it's close to Tau's current looks and it'll be a 2nd gen Tau son so I kind of like that just for pride lore.

Which do you guys think though?

I'm looking for heritage-less males with either Royal, Barbary, or Sideburn mane. Basically males that can make Royal mane when bred to Thick-maned girls. Bonus would be a Special base, preferably golden but not required! Primal or not is fine too.

So if anyone has a guy that fits that requirement, let me know! Looking to breed some "outside line" Royals for the next generation to breed with Tau's son.

Go for the mottled. You could get the new rosettes it seems. Well, soft at least. Not yet sure about heavy though.

Honestly Tau, I like either one but the Second is my favorite, only because Mottled is so hard to pass without the breeding items (which is the salt lick if I remember correctly). But the temptation of the new rossettes is also present lol but I'd still stud to whom ever you choose to go with.

I'd go with the mottled guy. If worst comes to worst, you can change the opacity of the marking as low as needed so it doesn't interfere with his overall looks if it wothers you, and you have a higher chance of getting a rosette every breeding.

And the Mottled Rosette doesn't bother me. I actually think it's pretty! I just like the Royal mane and am leaning toward keeping Tau's looks (or close to them).

But I am conflicted!
