I think I would have stood a better chance if I had Solgaleo out first to fight the Lycanroc. I sent out Araquanid first and she got squashed OTL

I saved before fighting him, though so maybe I can give it another go and not have to start all over lol.

I've spammed the elite four atleast 8 times now, and I've been able to level up my team decently quickly.

I mean, I got my Magearna three or four days ago and she starts at level 50, mine's already a level 81.

Same for Necrozma (who starts at level 75) , though I had him for longer but I hadn't been able to actually start grinding EXP with him. Mine is already level 91.


Also, does anyone else find the new games easier to work on? Like, I don't know I feel that Soul Silver and the games prior to X, Y and the rest of the newer gens were much harder versios of Pokémon... Maybe that's just me.

Well, i think your right Jess.
In Diamond, from lvl 60 to lvl 100, ya had to lvl on victory road what had the highest lvl pokemon in the game; lvl 50 - 60 pokemon, and in some areas, lvl 70 pokemon and that was it. ( The elite 4 are 70 - 80 ish?)

Ya can look up the exact lvl cap for wild pokemon in there, but it took forever to lvl a team to 100.

Yeah, and you got the EXP share at the end. (At least in Soul Silver, which is the oldest Pokémon game I have played on a mobile console such as the DS. Eldest would be Pokémon Stadium but that's not how that one worked xD) And it wasn't your whole team that got those EXP share benefits, no. It was a simgle member of your team and if you wanted the whole party to level up you had to switch throughout the whole battle to all the Pokémon that could possibly handle the ones you were against.

And yeah, I never actually got any LV 100 Pokémon on SS, mostly since I was really young and just gave up on maxing my team- And then when I got Pokémon Y it took me less than three or four runs on the elite four to fully max my Delphox out, alongide the other Pokémon that had been on my team since the start of story mode.

Oh my, I remember when the EXP Share was only for one Pokemon to hold--when I played Black and ORAS, I was SO happy about that change. It does make leveling easier, but I'm not complaining, lol!

I also feel like the games in general have gotten easier, but I'm not sure if that's just because I know what I'm doing, or if they're trying to cater a bit more to a younger audience. I feel like especially with Alola, the Dex literally tells you where to go and what to do, whereas in other games you had to kind of figure it out for yourself a bit (although the platform was fairly simple, travel the roads to each city to get to a gym, but you didn't always know what to expect). In that respect I think they are trying to help the younger audience. Some complain that it's too easy since they give you what is effective against what, etc. but I also feel like with all of the dual typings it's a bit nice? Even though I know most of them, for the new Pokemon that I don't know the types of it's helpful. I dunno, I'm kind of in the middle xD

I have a goldfish memory so I can never remember too well what is effectige against what. I know my basics but, yeah lol.

And maybe they are. I mean, I'm not complaining either but I just noticed that it was easier to get around in the game and was honestly wondering if it was experience or the games had gotten better. I see I'm not the only one though xD
