Draco looked over at her when she mentioned the superstition. "What do you mean superstition? What is it?" he asked curiously. He also wondered what Ava was doing out tonight anyway but he decided not to ask. Draco laid there trying to not think about all the negative things that could happen to them because of this but it was extremely complicated. It also worried him being in his own territory with her. It was almost a suicidal thing to do, venturing into another packs territory. It was especially dangerous to cross the lines of his family territory. They were very unforgiving. Draco spooked at every sound as if he was waiting for something to happen. Occasionally he would look at Ava, he felt lucky that he was fortunate enough for someone as beautiful as she was to have the same feeling he had for her. Part of him wanted to run away with her, as far away as possible and start a new life but he knew that wasn't an option. He hoped someway, somehow, that they could find away to be with one another. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ava stared at the -ground as she sat up, her face going bright red. "It's erm..." she began, her mind whirring. She was trying to make up a lie, the actually superstition was too embarassing to say. "If you run into someone on a full moon it means that you must clear any bad feelings between you or else the next month will be a bad one" she lied. How smooth her lie was she wasn't sure, but only his reaction would tell that. She lay herself back down, placing her head on Dracos chest now. "What about you, any supersticions or traditions on a full moon?" she asked him. This was her way of trying to divert the conversation, this was probably a better tactic than her lying. Her arms went over him as she lay there, holding him gently. She just wanted to enjoy this for the moment, she was trying to avoid thinking about where she actually was. It terrified her when she did think about it, after all this was somewhere she could actually be killed. A lump formed in her throat, heart racing now in panic. As much as she wanted to leave, she wanted to stay here forever. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Draco gave her a look as it he didn't quite believe it, "Well that's a silly superstition." he said sounding unsure. When she asked about his pack having superstitions or traditions. He decided to spare her the past traditions. They used to use the full moon to change humans into werewolves to have a bigger "army" if they ever needed one. Those turned for that reason were the lowest ranking members and were not given the right to breed. They were often killed when they became useless. The thought wasn't truly dead in Lucifer's eyes, he only stopped to keep allies with another pack. It was the only time he'd agreed to pretty much anything. "Well.. usually on the full moon we come up here and have somewhat of a party. Other than that we don't do much of anything. We might have a huge party in the town from time to time. We don't have any superstitions that I'm aware of. he said quietly. It wasn't hard for him to tell she was scared, he could feel the quick rhythm of her beating heart and the way she acted also gave him a clue. "Don't be scared Ava. They won't be returning anytime soon." he said calmly. As calmly as he said it, the truth was that he was scared to death his father was going to find out. "That's nice. Me and my friends just go for this run. You let your feet take you wherever they want, whereever you stop will be something of significance. A place you make amends, change the world, maybe just a place you find to spend time and think. After that we meet up and simply chat until dawn, those of us that come back rather than staying in that place" she told him her own tradition. It was the only thing she'd ever known, her whole family used to do it but once you were married you weren't allowed to go out like that. Hearing him tell her not to be scared made her embarassed, she hadn't wanted him to know how scared she was. "I trust you with that, doesn't mean that it isn't terrifying being in your enemies lands. I now know how soldiers would feel when they entered the opposit sides trenches" she shuddered. "Not you though, you're not my enemy. Just the threats and stuff" she tried to make what she had said seem less harsh. She hadn't even thought about what she was saying before she said it, after all it could've upset him her calling him her enemy. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Draco found what Ava was telling him interesting. He looked up at the stars briefly while she spoke. He wondered if he'd messed the run up for her. She seemed happy though so he didn't ask questions. "I know what you meant. You have every right to be scared. These lands are very unforgiving if you're not one of us. I didnt want to tell you about this place because I knew you'd want to come. I knew it wasn't safe but part of me wanted to tell you anyway. Don't think of that as I don't care about your safety because I do." he said looking over at her. He knew that this was probably one of the stupidest things he'd ever done, putting so much at risk. He felt safe though, Leda would make sure that no one returned without giving him some sort of a warning. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"I know you care about my safety, you proved that earlier. I'm glad you did tell me about it, it's a beautiful place. I'll have to take you somewhre nice in my territory some time. Then you can experience awe and terror at the same time" she began making jokes. It made her feel a lot better right now, distracting her mind with her own terrible sense of humor. "Honestly if I want to join the packs, steps like this have to be taken" she spoke, which was very true. "That and this is better than any run, I think see you is where my run was meant to end. God that sounded so cheesy" she put her hands over her face in pure embarassment. For the first time ina long time she felt like a normal teenager, getting embarassed and being stupid. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Draco wasn't used to jokes so he didn't quite know how to react. He looked at her a bit awkwardly. "I feel like it would be safer for me to be caught in your territory than you in mine. he said as he sat up and looked over the edge of the giant cliff. He shook his head at her when she claimed what she said was cheesy. "I don't think it's cheesy, I believe in destiny. We will see in time." he said as he laid back down. He couldn't help but laugh at her as she felt embarrassed. He didn't mean it in a cruel way, he just never thought she'd be the type to get embarrassed. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Her father was ok, but her brother had a serious angry streak, it's partially why her parents didn't want him to be ruling their pack. He would cause too many wars and too much trouble, not something they wanted for their people. "Really?" she asked him, refering to him talking about destiny. She still refused to take the hands off her face, after all it was still bright red. "Stop laughing at my embarassment" she spoke, a slight bit of laughter coming through in her voice. She was quite liking this typical teenage experience, it allowed her to forget the weight there actually was resting upon her shoulders. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Draco snarled his nose just a little at the mention of her brother. It made him feel a bit insulted but he didn't let on about that. That was his proud ego showing through just a hair. "Yes really. I get that from my mother I think. I won't quit laughing at you because unfortunately for you, I find it quite funny." he said as he laughed a little bit more. He wasn't used to laughing with a girl or doing much of anything with them. He never really enjoyed ones company. "Well then, your mother sounds kinda nice actually" she spoke, removing her hands from her face. The redness that was once there had gone down a bit. Bits of it remained, she couldn't seem to shake of her embarassment around him very easily. "Well then, next time you get embarassed remind me to laugh" she said, giving him a playful look. "I'm going to make sure I laugh until I'm in stitches, just because I can" she continued. She was liking spending time with him just relaxing, she was herself around him. This must be what it's like to be normal...Kinda wish I was now... she thought to herself, allowing a mental sigh. Draco raised an eyebrow, "She can be nice." he said as he looked down at his feet. His mother was always the loving parent. He gave a laugh at Ava's next statement, "I don't think I'm easy to embarrass. Laughing until you get stitches doesn't sound to pleasant." he said since he really didn't know how to take jokes. Eventually her laughter made him laugh a little more than he normally did. The smile left his face as she mentioned Allison, he got up and walked away a little bit. He stood looking out at a different point from the cliff. Be was looking at a tiny burning light, it was the town he actually lived in. "I don't know. I guess when my father makes a decision." he said, his eyes not leaving that tiny glimmer of light in the distance. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Trust me it is, it's the best feeling ever" she told him, refering to the laughter comment he made. She figure his life was a lot more serious than hers, which kind of made her feel sorry for him. As he got up and walked away she sat up, watching him staring at something. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't of bought it up" she sighed, running a hand through her hair. She stood up, trying to figure out what it was he was staring at so intensly. "What are you staring at?" she asked him, unable to figure out what exactly it was that had his attention. She kept her distance a little, not sur ehe'd actually want to talk to her after what she had just said. Draco didn't look back at her, "It's alright. That's where I live." he saidquietly. He looked at it for a few minutes longer before returning to Ava. He was actually looking to see if he could see his house, to know whether or not the lights were on there. They weren't, this meant his parents were either asleep or not home. Draco looked at her after staying silent for a few moments, "When does your family expect you home? he asked quietly. Part of him was feeling uneasy and he wasn't sure why. It may have been because they weren't quite alone anymore. Everything she thought about this territory was being shattered, it wasn't the hell hole it had been made out to be. After a few moments of silence he spoke, causing her to look at him rather than over the landscape. "Not until gone dawn, another tradition. What about your parents?" she asked him, he seemed nervous. Her nerves had begun to settle, but now they were slowly rising once more. "Are you ok?" she asked, giving him a slightly confused look as she stood there. Draco laughed slightly at her words, "Not quite a Dracula castle but our mansion looks quite dark on the inside. Well more like unusual looking on the inside I guess. It's full of antique furniture and stuff but it's not all dark and dreary in there." he said as he looked at her. He shrugged, he was good at doing that quite often. "Well they don't exactly know I'm gone I don't think. They thought my friend and I were staying within the town. I'm sure they're asleep. My mother was up late last night and got up early again this morning. My father might be up but I doubt he cares that I'm gone. He probably won't think anything of it as long as Ryker doesn't show up around the house at any point before I make it back. That's the friend I left with." He was looking around when Ava asked him what was wrong. He shook his head, not wanting to alarm her further but he was sure he already did. The bushes from close by ruffled. Draco stood up quickly but was soon relieved to see a red wolf form come from the bushes. It was only Leda. She was coming back to tell him something. She stepped out, it was clear she wasn't an original member of Draco's pack by the way she carried herself, she seemed hesitant and shy. She looked at Ava for a moment before turning her eyes to Draco, "I just wanted to let you know that we won't be coming back here tonight. We went out for a hunt and they decided to go home. You're safe to be here as long as you like." she said in a very soft but concerned tone.
