She hadn't meant to bring back so much at once like he was suggesting but yet again, she wasn't expecting prey to be active at this time. "We'll bring back what we can. There's only three of us but there are still others with big and empty bellies that need to be filled. The apprentices and kits need to gain weight before the first snowfall hits and they've a better chance of making it if they do. Duststorm will give the word when he sees fit." She ended the conversation with a snort and promptly sat down. She began to clean her paws and groom her fur thick fur. She glistened under the sunlight. She then stood up and headed for Whitekit, who had fallen over and landed on her nose. "Careful now little one, the ground is slick with morning frost and dew," she warned, carassing Whitekit's forehead with her tongue. WaxenTooth was drawn to the kit for some odd reason. She'd never been fond of the tiny ones for they were boisterous and hard to keep up with but this kit was different. She leaned in close to Whitekit's ears and whispered words of encouragement. She could see a warrior within the lass and a warrior she would be with the proper training. Perhaps she could take Whitekit under her wing and mentor her?
