She is annoying and I hate romance (especially in DW) in movies/series and Rose x Doctor is so forced (but I think she is okay with 9). And the most annoyint thing is that she is very overrated (like Tennant), so whenever I try to find good fanfiction with no pairings about Classic Who (1-8 Doctors) the writer has decided to ship that annoying girl to every one of my Docs and it's disgusting to say mildly! She is everywhere and escaping her and enjoying my Classic Who with no Eccleston/Tennant companion is hard.

I see, thats a good very valid point... I personally like Rose popping up in DW mainly because she was the companion the joined on with for the new who, kinda sentimental value but for viewers before new who thats perfectly understandable.

I haven't watched the old ones, but I love David Tennant. However, Matt Smith plays a better role as the Doctor, I feel, so I like him as the role and David Tennant for his looks. Conceited? Maybe.

Favorite partner would be Rose, but I think mostly because she was the one I grew to know since I first watched the Eccleston series and that got me into Doctor Who. More of, I see her as the real companion and everyone else replacements sort of deal. But I love Amy Pond! I'd watch literally all series with just Amy Pond and the Doctor if that was an option. I never got tired of her.

Do any of you Americans know where to watch Doctor Who episodes? Ever since they removed it from Netflix and Hulu a few years ago I have been lost and my Doctor Who addiction must be filled. <3

With that new trailer that came out a while ago, what are your guys’ opinions on David Bradley playing the first doctor in the Christmas special, are you exited, the opposite? And also (I can’t remember his name right now) but the man that plays Microft on Sherlock finding his way into doctor who, and also I wanna know if anyone here is exited about our very first female doctor.

I’ve resorted to recording the reruns on my tv, since I forced my parents to add BBCA to our channel list

Hello. I'm also a Whovian and new to the clan.
I started Doctor Who with the Ninth Doctor, and because I am a horribly sentimental person, he was my favourite for a long time, then I started watching Classic Who, and the Third Doctor became my favourite. Due to the same reasons Rose was my favourite companion for some time but she grew really annoying to me because she was in all the DW fanfiction and I definitely did not like all the melodrama, which was why I found Clara REALLY annoying and horrible. Again, my favourite companion changed when I started watching Classic Who and now is Barbara Wright.
