HUNT YOU DOWN
CensusOOC & Info

○○○

Centuries ago, a small city called Galeladus was built beside a massive forest known simply as the Dark Woods. For many months life was peaceful and quiet until the day a hunter was killed in the forest, mysteriously drained of all his blood. The deaths continued, corpses found either bloodless or horribly maimed. It was then the humans finally learned the truth. The Dark Woods were ruled by wild forces and they had now become the prey of creatures they once thought only to be legends, vampires and werewolves.

The people of Galeladus did their best to combat the supernatural beasts, but it simply wasn’t enough and they began to lose hope until their savior arrived in the form of a black dog named Cole. As it turns out, Cole was not simply a dog, but also a man. A weredog, and his species were benevolent to humankind. With the help of Cole and his pack, the humans were able to drive their enemies deeper into the forest and away from the city. The murders stopped.

Ten years later, humans and weredogs still work side by side in the city. Keeping it safe from outsiders, but a new threat is rising. Vampire and werewolf activity is once again on the rise. The werewolves claim they are peaceful this time around and the vampires will not show themselves at all, but the humans are not taking any chances. Any creature that isn’t man or dog must die.

Siobhan Westbrook
Female • 25/510 • Guild of Vampires • Adviser
Location: Abandoned Mansion • Interacting with: Gabriel [Directly] Dominique [Mentioned]

Being fond of her fellow vampires did not meant she had a special kind of patience reserved exclusively for them, even less in such abrupt situations. The sound of crystal against a surface echoed through the rooms of the mansion, eventually heard in the one Siobhan had claimed as hers long ago. Immediately on her feet, the white nightdress she wore rolled down falling right above her knee (As the cloth uncomfortably accumulated in higher places during the night), she felt prepared to face with some intruder. She was slightly disappointed when the distinctive french tone of Dominique present in a yell followed, pointing out the causant of the interruption of her dreams. Relaxing her stance she growled, a sudden desire to slap the vampire roaming her arms like a current. It soon faded as she flopped back onto her bed, defeated by her idleness.

As much as she wanted to fall back into Morpheus' arms, she did not succeed, even after the extra minutes spent upon the comfy warm sheets. She somehow never managed to sleep again once she waked in the morning. She stood and walked out the dorm, reluctant as ever, allowing a hand to brush her messy hair with some difficulties in the process, but Gabriel entering her sight stopped her hairdressing session as well as her steps. His face was as inexpressive as it usually was, but if she had to take a guess, she'd say something had disturbed him; There was something on his hazel colored eyes she could distinguish from normal after so many years. With a grimace she contemplated any possible options that could have unsettled the Master after he closed the door behind him. The only logical one at that moment could be related with Dominique and the disturbance, though little she trusted such idea that she chose to show some compassion and care for her friend, rather than her leader.

Standing before the large piece of refined wood, Siobhan released a sigh, knowing this was not the best idea if he was not in the best mood. She knocked a few times without being insistent, guarding silence momentarily, probably to see if Gabriel would respond to that.

"Hey, Gale. Are you alright?", she'd question with her characteristic british accent, and the deep tone that made clear she had just recently opened her eyes.

{Wyclef Snow}
Male❉Werewolf - Grey Wolf❉Dark Wood Wolves❉Subordinate❉Locat: Dark Woods❉Ment: Richard

Wyclef watched the golden dog chew on the stem, the werewolf carefully wrapping the wound as he did so. "Ok Sweets, that's enough chewing or you're gonna get sick on me." He wasn't quite sure the other heard him in his lulled state but the weredog would either spit it out or throw it up. What was he going to do with a weredog? If he tried to bring him back to the others of the dog's pack Wyclef would surely be killed on site. If Wyclef brought him to the wolf camp all the work he'd done would be for nothing. If the wolf left him without any more treatment he would most likely die here. He groaned and scrubbed his face with his hands, he was never good with this kind of stuff.

A sweet scent drifted to the werewolf's nose and removing his hands from his face he looked at the lavender blossoms that surrounded them. The beautiful blooms were often used to cover up bad scents with their strong, sweet ones.. "Hey Sugar, I am really going to need you to trust me." He the got up and grabbed some of the blooms, careful to choose the strongest smelling ones before returning. "I have to get you somewhere you can heal without either of us getting killed so... You'll become my secret guest. One that no one can ever know about." He began to rub the flower into the weredog's pelt, a total invasion of a complete stranger's privacy.

{Grant Burncast}
Male♔Vampire - Giant Vampire Bat♔Loner♔Locat: Bear Tooth River♔Ment: Cole, Moza

The sight of a weredog had Grant almost bursting into a fit of laughter but he kept silent and still so as not to be tracked. Were the humans still working with these half-breeds? He contemplated jumping down and seeing just how many of these mutts he could tear limb from limb but the gathering crowd deterred him. Even fully fed the old vampire could be matched if the entire group worked against them. Plus what would be the fun in ending the game so early? This would be a long, fun game if Grant had anything to say about it. The vampire waited to see what their next move would be, he would study them as best he could before launching any attack.

When the woman approached in a flash of gracefulness Grant gasped like he had been punched in the gut. Something about this new mutt felt like a page ripped from his past and thrown in his face, he clutched the tree for support. What was this dog supposed to mean to him? Then he realized she had an odd resemblance to the first human he had sired but clearly this realization had given away his position. He made the quick decision to move through the trees, jumping from one to the next. He had lost the advantage and that made him angry.

{Sasha Elkheart}
Female♥Human♥Galeladus Huntsman♥Huntsman♥Locat: Hunting Trail♥Ment: Wolf

Sasha softly laughed as her raven performed tricks in the air, obviously not seeing anything of interest as they continued on their way. When the raven dove for the ground Sasha notched her bow and quietly dashed to where the bird had disappeared. When she approached her raven was squawking like a mockingbird at the moving form, something he never did as it might frigthen prey away. Sasha watched the form almost believing it was a boar or bear in it's hunched state, she should have known better. It twisted it's head sideways to toss a glance at her feathery compainion Sasha's breath caught in her throat. "No..."

Sasha had been trained to deal with these situations. Notch bow, aim to kill, release. So why after all her years of training did the arrow slip from her fingers and hit the ground? Why when she knew it spelled her death was she unable to reach back to grab a new one? Why did she see an image of a tortured beast in chains? Why?

Rowan Nora Taylor | Galeladus Guardian | Meeting Place | Phineas, Xena, Diamanta, Cole

Rowan had been running just a TINY bit late...ok maybe more than a few minutes late. But who WOULDN'T be late in this weather?! The young female was hurtling herself through the solemn drizzle of the rain, trying to keep the clothes in her mouth as dry as she could, her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth, leaving just enough room to pant and breathe. The young dog's overly large feet carried her in long strides across the town, every so often splashing gently through puddles when she was too focused on her destination to notice what was in front of her.

This happened one too many times. She was not even a block from the meeting, and could see a dog form Diamanta hurtling past the forms of sulking Phineas and Xena, towards the river. After only wondering a brief moment where the deputy could be going - (she hadn't heard/noticed the barking, because she was too focused and panicked XD) - she tripped over her front paws, her yelp cut short as she was thrown forward, landing face-first in a muddy puddle, her clothes hurtling from her mouth and laying scattered and drenched in the puddle, her underwears included.

(short, but i loved this idea and wanted to end it here to see the reactions XDD)

¤ Alina ¤
Female ⁂ 17 years old ⁂ Weredog - Beagle ⁂ Galeladus Guardians ⁂ Healer Trainee
Location: Dark Woods ⁂ Mentions: None (Open)

The small beagle had been weaving in and out of the trees in an attempt to stay out of the rain. There wasn't much in this world that she hated, but rain was one that she loathed with her entire being. Water in general was annoying to her, while fun to look at, it was cold and draining to feel. Shaking her fur out, Alina felt glad she wasn't in her human form, for more than her skin would be getting wet in this weather and it'd take far longer to get dry. Trying to focus at her task at hand, which was to gather some herbs that were easier found with her beagle nose, the female put her nose to the ground and sorted through the various scents surrounding her.

It took her a few moments, but at last she found the scent she was looking for. Unconsciously keeping her tail up as she sniffed the ground and followed the trail, Alina walked at a slower pace. She spent most of her time in dog form just playing around and not doing much serious work, so instead of going in the general direction of what she's looking for, this time she's relying solely on her senses. The other scents were tempting, like the faint hint of rabbit, but she pulled herself together to focus on just this one thing.

The scent was getting stronger, and she got more and more excited. Leaping forward, she let out a small yip as she bounced forwards, only to slam her head into a tree in front of her. Whimpering softly, Alina carefully got up and sat down, rubbing her head with her paws to try to stop the pain. In her small dash, she realized that the part of the forest she was in wasn't completely familiar, and she was so focused on the one scent that she didn't realize that she couldn't recognize any of the other scents around her. Taking in a deep breath, Alina tried to calm herself before starting to freak out, and wondered anyone else would do. They'd probably try to retrace their steps, like she should, but in the rain she found that her scent was slowly fading and the path she weaved had been quick because she knew that the herb scent would be soon fading as well. Cursing at herself, the young weredog decided to take a random path, hoping that it would lead to a familiar area.

¤ Kitt ¤
Male ⁂ 29 years old ⁂ Werewolf - Mexican Grey Wolf ⁂ Wolves of the Dark Wood ⁂ Subordinate
Location: Camp ⁂ Mentions: Aurora, Tela (Directly), Faith (Indirectly)

The male had been taking a nap outside from the previous night, being as restless as he was, and woke up to the sound of his alphas howl. Shaking his head to get rid of some of the sleep still in his eyes, Kitt jumped to his feet - paws, to be exact - and ran around in a large circle to get the energy flowing back into his system. It only took around two laps for him to feel ready for the day ahead of him, but he couldn't help but feel like there was something he was missing.

Deciding that he would be better off in human form, he quickly shifted, slipping into his cabin for a change of clothes. Ah, that was what he was forgetting. Where had he put his clothes from the previous night? That memory didn't seem to be in his mind, so he didn't pay much attention to it, since it must not've been anything all that important. Pulling on a preplanned outfit, Kitt was out the door quickly with a little bounce in his step. While being in his wolf form was pretty fun, he did love being able to stand on two legs and use his arms.

Noticing Aurora start to join the crowd, he jumped on over to her, giddy with excitement for the day. She wasn't one he talked to all that often, so he felt like he needed to strengthen a friendship with her so he'd have someone to bother with his constant energy. "Hey Aurora, what's up! Nice morning, huh? I just love the rain!" Kitt laughed, but noticed something in her arms. Curious, he pointed to the bag she held. "What's that?" He questioned, tilting his head. It was also at this moment that he noticed that she was trying to talk to Tela, so he shot her a quick smile before focusing back on Aurora.

Still wasn't sure what to do with Rook so I left him off for now.

|Dorian Quinn|
|Male|26|Weredog - Alaskan Malamute|Galeladus Guardians|Healer|
|Location: Galeladus|Mentions: Rowan (Directly), None (Indirectly)|

Blue-green eyes surveyed the scene unfolding just down the river, Coal and a couple of other dogs were gathered around a bloodied and mutilated corpse of one of the humans. The large Malamute huffed out a sigh before turning and carrying on down the river bank, though not before spotting Moza emerging from the woods. Even from here Dorian could tell there was no use trying to save the man, the smell of rot and ripe carrion already settling in all around the body. The faint scent of death and old blood indicating a vampire had done the deed. Dorian let out a snort of disgust, not at the vampire, but at his fellow pack members. Vampires couldn't help what they need to eat to survive and Dorian didn't hold it against whoever had taken the man's life, though he did wish they'd been a little more discrete in the act so less of the other dogs had noticed.

His fur was soggy and heavy, covered from the chest down in several layers of mud, with a leather satchel filled with various herbs and poultices and an extra pair of clothes latched around his chest and back, much like a medical bag a real dog would carry. He'd left the house before the sun had risen in search of a couple different strands of nightshade. A plant often used in poisons but could be boiled and mixed with other things to create antidotes and medicines. Though all he'd really been able to get his hands on was a couple pounds of Barberry, Dandelion, Burdock, and Yellow Dock roots. All good things, but not what he really wanted to find. All in all it was still a good haul for an early morning.

Right before he could enter the packs meeting place, having made his way through Galeladus’s outer streets, a brown blur rocketed past. Dorian stopped, having recognized the dog as she passed, only to see Rowan skid and trip over her own two front feet. The Malamute shook his head in exasperation as he walked padded over to the girls side. He nudged Rowan in the side gently to see if she was ok. It didn't look as if she'd broken anything or else she would have been whining or yelping in distress.

[ Cole Pérez García ]
Male ◘ 36 ◘ Weredog - Greyhound ◘ Galeladus Guardians ◘ Leader
Location: Bear Tooth River ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Diamanta, Jasper, Moza, Grant

As more and more of his packmates gathered around him, summoned by his relentless barking as he tried to frighten the vampire out of hiding, Cole felt his confidence renewed by their presence. He had begun to doubt he could tackle such an imposing foe on his own, but now that Diamanta and Jasper were here he was more than certain they could handle this. Even if Jasper looked as if he’d just arrived from another of his drunken romps with only God knew who. Under normal circumstances Cole would have shot the Doberman a disapproving glance or gone on another lecture about how it was time he settled down with a nice lady or gentleman instead of going through the entire kingdom, but in this moment his eyes never left the forest.

“I don’t know,” Cole responded tensely to Jasper’s inquiry. “We’re about to find out. Cover me,” he added before pushing further under the trees. Moza’s comment was not lost on him as she joined them and proved a momentary distraction. She was right. They should have at least turned the lad over. Cole had assumed the poor fellow was dead already, but he hadn’t stopped to check, too focused on the fallen man’s killer. He glanced over his shoulder in time to see Moza checking for a pulse, true regret in his eyes before he forced his gaze back to the treetops. A gasp alerted him to the vampire’s location and an uncomfortable chill washed over when he saw how Grant gazed at Moza.

Dark lips pulled back over his glistening white teeth in a silent snarl and he eyed the vampire with burning hatred. As the beast attempted to escape by leaping from tree to tree he barked for his dogs to follow and tore after him. It was doubtful they would catch the bloodsucker, but they couldn't allow him to escape without trying.

◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙

[ Richard Phoenix ]
Male ◘ 27 ◘ Weredog - Silken Windhound ◘ Galeladus Guardians ◘ Warrior
Location: Dark Woods - Unspecified Location ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Wyclef

Richard chewed until Wyclef told him to stop, a sickeningly sweet flavor filling his mouth and making him gag until the mushed up plant fell to the ground by his paws. Saliva dribbled from his jaws and he raised a paw to wipe at it weakly, as if it still mattered in the state he was in. “N-not your sugar,” he managed to grunt, annoyed enough by the random pet names to get out a comment of his own, though he was unsure if the wolf could understand him or not. He’d never exactly tried to speak with one before.

He offered no resistance to the flowers being rubbed into his pelt. What choice did he really have at this point? Richard simply laid his head between his paws, hoping it would all be done with as soon as possible. He was tired. So tired the pain was more of numb ache. The longer he laid like that the more it felt like nothing else mattered and he should just sleep.

◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙

[ Phineas Phoenix ]
Male ◘ 23 ◘ Weredog - Silken Windhound ◘ Galadus Guardians ◘ Tracker
Location: Galadus - Bear Tooth River ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Xena, Diamanta, Rowan, Jasper, Grant, Moza, Cole / {Indirectly} Ninka

Phineas had been so distracted chatting with Xena and then by their leader’s barking that he hadn’t noticed Diamanta until she slipped up beside them, ordering them to stay behind before disappearing into the forest. He huffed in indignation, his paws itching to follow her into the woods, his previous misgivings about a wet coat and muddy paws dismissed. “There could be trouble out there. Should we really let her go alone?” He muttered, more a statement than a question. What if she never got a chance to call for backup?

“Screw this. I’m going!” He announced, starting forward and shifting mid run, clothes slipping off in a slightly awkward scramble before he managed to squeeze out of them and leave them scattered in the clearing. He heard a greeting from Rowan and caught a glimpse of her tripping out of the corner of his eye, but only spared the woman a momentary glance before sprinting off into the forest.

If Ninka had been there, he might have been more inclined to obey, so it was in his best interest to leave now before she arrived. He raced between the trees as fast as his paws would carry him, finally slowing to a halt behind Jasper mere minutes later. His blue eyes widened at the sight of the downed human and Moza hovering over him, a shudder rushing down his spine. “Is there anything we can do?” He asked the medic, stepping up beside her and gazing down at the dying man with a sorrowful expression.

As the others chased after the vampire Phineas remained with Moza, seeming lost in the dying man’s glazed stare. He was too young to remember the first war, only 13 then and kept away from the fighting, and his family had fled to safer lands in those dark days. It was perhaps the first time he was staring death in the face. Something in him he had never recognized seemed to click to life in that moment. “There’s something we can do, right?” He repeated.

◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙

[ Faith Darkwood ]
Female ◘ 24 ◘ Werewolf - British Columbian Wolf ◘ Dark Wood Wolves ◘ Alpha
Location: Camp ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Rafael, Tela, Aurora, Kitt

Faith nodded briefly to Rafael as he was the first to arrive, trying not to twitch with the impatience. Where was everyone? It had never taken this long for the pack to assemble under her parents rule. Did they not respect her? In that moment she was more grateful than ever for her Beta’s support and strength. At the least Faith knew she could always count on him. Some of her concerns were put at ease as Tela and a few of the other wolves came stumbling into the clearing, jaws stretched in yawns and blinking sleep from their eyes.

Raising her head and tail authoritatively, she rose once more into a standing position. “Good morning Wolves of the Dark Wood. Thank you for gathering here. As I’m sure you have noticed our prey stock has been-” her voice cut off as Aurora appeared at the last minute, smelling strongly of fish and carrying a man-made bag presumably full of it. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion and she leaped down from the rock, headed toward the other woman with deliberately slow steps and a scathing gaze. She paused as Kitt joyfully welcomed Aurora, and he received the same withering stare. “If you’re quite finished, please take your seat,” she growled at the male. “Where did you get this?” She questioned Aurora, her face alone showing she already knew the answer and wasn’t pleased.

◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙

[ Arvia Jäger ]
Female ◘ 28 ◘ Vampire - Ghost Bat ◘ Guild of Vampires ◘ Adviser
Location: Abandoned Mansion ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Dominique, Gabriel, Siobhan

Arvia’s response to Dom’s childish expressions was little more than an exaggerated roll of her eyes and a motion with her hand that suggested if he kept his tongue out much longer she’d pluck it right out of his mouth. Gabriel’s arrival had interrupted any further mocking as she at the least made an attempt to be on her best behavior around the master. Without him she’d still be an unstable, half-starved vampire out on the streets pressing her luck in the city after all. Without the guild Arvia doubted she would have lived this long, and she was still quite a young vampire compared to many of the mansion’s other residents.

“Oh stop your complaining. They’re just objects, they’re replaceable,” Arvia scolded and soothed at the same time as she carefully collected pieces of shattered glass to dispose of. “That bowl will do just fine until we can find new ones.” Even if it wasn’t quite true that some of them could be replaced considering their age and origin Arvia had never seen the use of hoarding possessions or crying over spilt milk, or perhaps spilt wine in this case. “Perhaps we can raid the tavern later,” she added to Dom in a whisper, though she knew it unlikely Gabriel wouldn’t overhear.

As Dom finally moved to assist them his next question had her pausing and turning to stare at him in slight alarm. “Don’t even think about it-” she started, watching as he eyed his hand full of splintery shards. Before he could even bring them closer to his face Gabriel had snatched his wrist accompanied by a fearsome growl, forcing him to release the glass. As it fell back to the floor and shattered into even smaller pieces she was quick to gather it into the pile she’d already begun collecting. She stared after Gabriel as he stormed out of the room, the concern in her pale eyes only increasing.

Uncertain what to do next, she eventually swept the glass beneath a nearby broken table they rarely used until they could figure out what to do with it. “Do not touch that,” she demanded, the command short and simple, but her usual lighthearted deamnor melting away to be replaced with something more firm before disappearing into the hall. Siobhan had beat her to Gabriel's quarters, and Arvia found herself lingering farther back, unsure Gabriel would appreciate one of his Advisers following him to his room let alone two.

◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙ ◙

[ Artair Croft ]
Male ◘ 29 ◘ Bitten Werewolf - Timber Wolf ◘ Loner
Location: Deep in the Dark Woods ◘ Mentions: {Directly} Xavier

Artair gave a low whine in greeting, tail wagging as his head was gently patted and he was given praise. Yes, yes he was a very good boy. He had stayed by the cabin all night and hadn’t mauled anyone in nearly a month. In human form he would have responded to being treated like a dog with unhappiness, but as he was it was nice for his hard work to be recognized. The mention of food had his stomach gurgling in response and his ears perked forward at the sight of the fishing net.

He followed Xavier to the creek much like a dog would their beloved owner, bushy tail continuing to wag in happy circles and adoring eyes always watching. The boy was good to him. He had to stay with him wherever he went and keep him safe. He was only regretful he couldn’t follow Xavier back into town. In the beginning he had tried to stay among humans in the city, but the dogs kept muttering of smelling wolf and he’d known then he needed to leave or risk being put to death for his curse. He had fled to the woods, careful to keep away from the werewolf pack and banished himself to the old broken down cabin he now called home. It wasn't the best, but it was enough for now.

{{It legit took me four hours to write all this and they aren't even that great. I have a major headache now. RIP.}}

[ Dominique ]
Male • Old • Vampire • Indian Flying Fox
Guild of Vampires • Adviser
Location: Mansion -> Dark Woods • Mentions: Gabriel, Arvia - OPEN

Dom hissed as Gabriel jerked his hand, rubbing his wrist as soon as the man let go. The Master had a strong grip, and even though the whole exchange lasted mere seconds, it still left his wrist sore. He didn't dare voice his complaints, however, watching the man stalk off with the closest he's ever come to a shameful look. Dom stared at his hand as Arvia cleaned up the mess, refusing to look at the glass. Gabriel had sounded pissed, and Dom knew the man was plenty capable of kicking him out of the guild. And if there was one thing he didn't want, it was to be on his own again. He quite liked it at the mansion.

And then Arvia left his side to join Gabriel, and Dom was alone again. He let out a disappointed sigh, grabbing his clothes and quickly changing into them (it wasn't like anyone was going to see him), throwing the blanket back on the couch. He grabbed the bowl of wine, eyeing it in disgust. You don't drink wine out of a bowl. But, seeing as all of his wine glasses were currently wherever the hell Arvia shoved them, he didn't have much of a choice. And besides, it was still a better idea than drinking straight out of the bottle. Dom shrugged, downing a good fourth of the wine immediately. He was usually extremely proper with how he drank his wine, but at that moment, he couldn't care less. His stomach growled at him in response, and he found himself wincing. He needed blood.

"I'll be back, mes amis," he called after them, deciding it would be better to refer to them as his friends rather than his sweethearts after what just happened. Although, he probably shouldn't be referring to them as friends either. They did seem kind of mad.

Frowning, Dom cursed the fact that his needs decided to show themselves in the morning rather than at dusk. He'd put off drinking blood for quite some time, and he could already feel the feral intensity start to build up. Most normal vampires would probably just kill an animal for satisfaction and wait until nighttime, but Dom was far from most vampires. He refused to take the life of an animal, as they were not there to feed hungry vampires. The meat bags had that covered, if only their village wasn't so far away.

Dom stepped out of the mansion, wincing as the rising sun burnt his already-scarred flesh. He ignored the pain, shifting into bat form and taking off towards Galadus in hopes of stumbling into a meat bag on the way. He made sure to keep under the shade so that he wasn't burnt more than necessary, not exactly in the mood to play in the sunlight today.

[Ryder Baldalair] • [20's/70's] • [Trans Male] • [Werewolf - Bitten] • [Unaffiliated] • [Form; Human] • [Location; Dark Woods -- > His Cabin] • [Mentions; Devdan {Indirectly}]

He had been outside with the sheep since early this morning, sheering them and putting them into the barn with the chickens and the cow he kept. The last thing he wanted was waterlogged animals. He also spent a long of time covering his plants so they wouldn’t become frost bitten, cooking with frost bitten plants usually leads to mushy food with a bitter taste. His hair was soaking wet and seemed solid black in color, his clothes were in the same state as well sadly. Ryder gave a huff and walked towards his cabin after closing the barn door and securely shutting it, feet squelching as he padded up the steps and inside. He kicked his boots off at the door to dry before going about a mission he had planned since he went outside earlier this morning. His eyes flickered from one spot to another as he searched for a certain hunter who happened to be here. Ryder’s plan was a simple one, he planned on tackling and getting mud all over Devdan as payback for being a brat most days. His eyes seemed almost reflective as he creeped around, curious as to where the other could have gone.

Rowan Nora Taylor | Galeladus Guardian/Warrior | Meeting Place | Phineas, Xena, Dorian

Rowan growl-groaned a moment before rising to her soaked paws, her face covered in muddy water. She shook out her coat, accidentally soaking Dorian's thick fur along with it. [Oh! Goodness me I'm so clutzy! I'm so sorry, Dorian!] She mind-linked the other dog, her ears pinning and her neck lowering. She tucked her chin down and pressed her forehead into the larger dog's coat in apology. Her apology was interrupted when she was distracted by Phineas sprinting away, and she twitched an ear [Where's he heading in such a hurry?], she mind linked Xena and Dorian.

Aurora Vere | Wolf of the Dark Woods/Subordinate | Camp | Kitt, Faith, Pack

Aurora flinched when she got bombarded by her fellow werewolf's questions, and was about to answer about the bag when her leader, Faith, leaped from the ledge. {Oh stars, what have I done? She's eager to please/show her authority, it doesn't matter how good I've done, I'm screwed!} She thought, her eyes flashing a bit frantically as she fumbled for the bag, bringing it to her front before bowing her head forward in recognition of her alpha's authority. "The humans, they left the shores. There was fish everywhere, a reall big haul this morning in the Bear Tooth river, i guess." She opened the bag "The food storage has been really low, and the hunting has become increasingly harder recently, so with such a large haul of fish, I knew that one bag's worth wouldn't even be noticed. I hid my scent fairly well, and only stayed on that side of the river for as little time as I could. The mutt-dogs won't even notice I was there, the rain is washing the remnants away as we speak...Alpha Faith, I couldn't stand to let the pack go hungry another day, while the humans have so much fresh food to eat, after they chased everything in the forests away. None of them are going hungry, and I SWEAR there was plenty still there. They won't even notice this little bit gone..." Aurora shifted, and realized she'd been talking a bit too long, so she simply fumbled with the bag to get it open, and revealed the fresh smelling, plump fish in the bag.

Lynda | Vampire-Member/Keeper | Mansion | Dom, Gabriel, Arvia, Siobhan | Looks 15

Lynda, in bat form, flapped into a window of the mansion, needing to fold her wings in a dive in order to get her body through the window without splatting like a bird on the sides. Lyn fluttered her wings a bit once through the window, and the small woman landed gently on the ground, feeling awkward in standing on the floor in bat form, her teeth baring slightly at the unnatural feeling. It was hard being a large bat sometimes, unable to fly freely through the halls. Lyn wondered about mind linking someone so she didn't need to move to get clothes, but she thought better of it after hearing Dom calling them "friends" and saying he was out for a bite. Lyn frowned, and her arms reached up to rub a slight burn on her shoulder, wincing. She shifted, red lesions appearing on her bare skin. The young woman shivered, and she peeked her head out of the door, seeing Arvia and Siobhan a few feet away, at Gabriel's door. Lyn wondered a moment what they were doing, before slipping out into the hall and quickly walking to her room a few doors down, her bare feet click-clapping on the wood floor. Lyn slipped on some knee-length shorts that hugged her legs, and wrapped her torso in a vest and (omg i dont know what it's called. The shirt-jacket like overcoat, but not an overcoat, thinner than an overcoat and skinnier XD). She headed out of the hallway, and hummed in a young-teenager's voice "Excuse me, what's going on here?" she hummed, eyes wide in an innocent way.

(I hated all of them I think, besides maybe Lyn's intro post...mer)

Gabriel
Vampire | Vampire Master
Location: Mansion
Mentions: Dominique, Arvia, Siobhan

Gabriel was shaken from his dazed walk through memories by a knock from above. He sniffed curiously and was met with the sharp scent of Siobhan that battled with the softer and more distant smell of Arvia. He'd been foolish to act the way he did and now his kith were coming to check on him.He let out huffed sigh and got to his feet. Siobhan's tired voice drifted through the door, questioning how he was. He opened it and lent against the door frame, smiling at his advisers' sleepy faces.

"I'm fine," Gabriel let his gaze go from Siobhan to Arvia, an attempt at reassurance. "Dominique's antics may get the better of me, but I assure you, I won't let them be the death of me." He heard the quiet sound of the mansion door close and shook his head. "I believe Dominique has left us to find food. We could go assist, or, perhaps, we should work on tonight's mischief while certain disorderly members are away?"

Gabriel had been trying to find an easier way to get food from the town for a while now. Though he'd pushed his members to drink more regularly, and thus not risk killing their prey, the humans protested their needs strongly. Many of them had started keeping holy items by their beds and fill their houses with the smell of wild roses and garlic. A few of the more irritating members had started eating pottage with hawthorn petals, causing their blood to taste bitter for hours afterwards. And yet, Gabriel had thought of a way around this. They would capture a human, stage its death, and keep it at the mansion as a source of food. It was the perfect plan. If Gabriel had a dramatic bone in his body he might have rubbed his hands together and let out an evil laugh.

{Wyclef Snow}
Male❉Werewolf - Grey Wolf❉Dark Wood Wolves❉Subordinate❉Locat: Dark Woods❉Ment: Richard

Wyclef chuckled at the reply, finishing up his work with the blooms. "Well perhaps if you provided a name I could avoid such travesties... Sweets." The werewolf shifted into his other form and picked up the herb bag before trotting over to the golden weredog. Standing next to the other showed how contrasting they looked, while the wolf only stood an inch or two taller he was almost triple the other's weight in this form. Where the Windhound was slim and graceful looking the wolf was bulky and coarse, light and dark. "Hey, don't fall asleep on me. Gotta make sure you make it."

Wyclef gave a sigh as he knew the next move were sure to hurt the other but he needed to move the other male. "Brace yourself, I'm gonna pick you up now." The dark wolf moved to put the dog onto his back by pushing underneath him so the other slung over his shoulers. Wyclef probably looked like he was parading a deer fawn on his back which caused him to laugh at his own joke. He moved slowly at first to give the golden male a chance to get used to the jostling. "I'm gonna have to take the long way to my cabin so we aren't spotted, please don't pass out on me." Wyclef chattered as they moved through the trees in hopes of keeping the other awake while they continued on their journey.

{Grant Burncast}
Male♔Vampire - Giant Vampire Bat♔Loner♔Locat: Beside Bear Tooth River♔Ment: Open

Grant heard the barking of the guardians behind him but paid little mind, they had no chance of catching him. He was so angry at himself for the falter while in the tree he almost jumped down and faced the mutts head on in his rage. He wasn't that stupid though and soon lost the mongers while still staying by the river, he needed to find a place to hide while the sun rose and fell. He thought of going to the vampires but what if he ran into someone he changed? Let's just say he wasn't the most responsible sire, hundreds of vampires over the centuries held his blood how could he be expected to remember all of them? With a sigh, he decided to rest for a while in the deep shade of the trees while he devised a plan.

Rafael Da' Silva
Male | 28 years | Gray Wolf | Beta | Wolves of the Dark Wood | Location: Pack Territory; Outside -> Camp | Mentions: [Directly] Faith, Aurora, Kitt / [Indirectly] None / Open for interaction

human reference

A smile was given to Faith as she nodded towards him. Rafael could see the impatience itching at her pelt and was rather annoyed himself that the others were taking so slow to join the meeting. Tongue swiping across his white lips, his intimidating yellow gaze observed the camp as other wolves tiredly walked into the clearing. He was a bit confused as to why they were so tired, being not tired at all himself, but then realized that it was because it was morning, and he was just not tired because he had woken up earlier and hunted. But so had someone else, apparently...

Spotting Aurora with a bag-full of fish and a smelly stench of fish coming off her, Rafael's yellow eyes narrowed and a growl erupted in his throat. She had gone fishing. At the river. Even when she was commanded not to do so. He looked at Faith, wondering what her reaction would be to the disobedient action of Aurora. And, just as he thought, she was mad. The werewolf Alpha jumped down from the rock and slowly walked towards the female, upset. Meanwhile, Kitt bounded up to Aurora and spoke to her in a rather annoying way, being way too jumpy and energetic in his opinion. And it obviously annoyed the Alpha as well, as Kitt got a growl to sit down from her. Faith then proceeded to ask Aurora a hypothetical question about where the fish came from and, in response, the Alpha got a long "explanation" - or, in his opinion, "excuse". His paws itched to join in and talk to Aurora about what she did, but he stayed out of it, not wanting to frustrate Faith with interjecting.

Xena
Female | 20 years | Rottweiler/GSD/Greyhound | Warrior | Galeladus Guardians | Location: Galeladus| Mentions: [Directly] Phineas, DIamanta, Rowan, Dorian, Cole, Jasper, Grant, Moza / [Indirectly] None / Open for interaction

human reference

Standing there with an unbelievable impatience, her feet itched to go investigate and see what Diamanta was running to that was so urgent. Was it a werewolf? A vampire? A human in trouble? All three? The weredog was incredibly curious and just wanted to know which so she could help. Then Xena heard Rowan greet her and Phineas right before she fell flat on her dog face, her clothes going everywhere. She was about to go and help her when she heard Phineas' announcement and she saw him run off, itching to do so as well. Then Dorian went and helped, so she was about to run off after Phineas.

Then Rowan asked her a question and she shrugged, "Cole." was her simple, mind-linked response to the she-dog's question. Unable to handle the overwhelming urge to run to where Cole was, she mind-linked a quick "bye" before bolting towards the weredog leader, shifting into her rottweiler form quickly mid-run, leaving her clothes in the mud behind her. Tongue out of her mouth, she ran incredibly fast through the woods, soon skidding to a halt beside Phineas. Immediately seeing the dead (or dying?) human on the ground, her ears perked, eyes widened, and jaw dropped a tad bit. "What happened?" she exclaimed, tail no longer wagging and confusion etched in her mind.

As she arrived just to see Cole and a few others chasing after something, she looked at Moza, who stared a tthe dead or dying human on the ground, she couldn't tell which it was. "What is Cole and everyone chasing?" she asked, questions overflowing her mind. Hearing Phineas' question about the human on the ground, she ripped her gaze from the human and looked at Moza again, nodding to back up that she wanted to know the answer to the question he asked. Was there anything they could do?

Toxa
Male ✦ 34 ✦ Werewolf-Grey Wolf ✦ Dark Wood Wolves ✦ Shaman Apprentice ✦ Location: Dark Woods-Camp ✦ Mentions: Elliot Shrike

Toxa sat in the back corner of the cabin, his hand placed against his face while his elbow held up the upper portion of his body as he thought. His fingers felt numb from the constant tapping along the surface, partially bruised at the tips. His eyes shot down the small counter that he was resting upon, a flat, wooden surface that had small bits of herbs used before. He tried to keep his calm, deep in thought as he remembered the last breaths of his brother, before he felt the sudden rattle of his chest and soon, his pulse was no more. Over and over again, the grief came, dragging him down to some sort of invisible hell, feeling as if his own pulse stopped every now and then.

He quickly straightened up in a race of panic when he heard paw steps at the door, straightening his shoulders and setting his hands on his lap. After waiting a few minutes, he turned around to spot Elliot around the corner. Choking the words out, he replied with only a small whisper, slowly rising up into equal volume. "I'm here" He spit out, clenching his fists down to stop the shakiness and twitching of his fingers. He cleared his throat, forcing himself to make it short after getting embarassed if he did it for too long, taking a short breath in. "How was the trip out...?" Toxa breathed, trying to get a conversation going as they both stood. It was foolish of him, already in his thirtys and still acting like some selfish outright pup not knowing how to talk in public. It had occured to him to try and get out more, be social, but that thought would long hold him back, fearing he would never be ready to tell everyone how he felt, the wish to bring back his brother whom had been killed by a bitten werewolf on the night of a full moon.

(OoC: This is long overdo, but now it's finally done. ;-; If there's anything wrong with either post, please tell me. Writer's block wasn't kind. XD)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Claudius | 24 years (750) | Unaffiliated | N/A
Vampire - Spectral Bat | Bat Form → Human Form
Location: Dark Woods
Mentions: None, Open for Interaction

{Slight Mentions: None}

Claudius twisted in the air on his large pair of wings, his sharp fangs baring at the sound of an enraged shout from behind him. Someone was grumpy. So he may have nommed on someone’s family member, what was the big deal? It wasn’t like they were dead. They should be grateful he didn’t kill anyone, and just move on in their short little human lives. Humans. Always needed to make everything complicated.

He expected an arrow to tear into his wing, but no such thing happened. With a swift twist in the air, he turned to look behind him. There was no one in sight; the voices were getting closer, but they were a far way away. He had shown up and gotten away too quickly for them to get their bearings. Good for them. If they had the audacity to attack him and succeed, then he would be far less lenient of their misplaced courage in return. He didn’t take kindly to others showing him disrespect, human or not.

Flipping around again and escaping into the woods, Claudius weaved around the trees at a leisurely pace. Even at his slow speed, the humans were lost far behind him, probably presuming he was still in the area. He had already gotten what he needed, but they didn’t know that. They likely thought he was going to jump out from behind a tree and attack them, or at least were cautious about him doing so, and thus moved at a lethargic, careful pace. The thought of their idiocy made him roll his eyes.

Once he reached a decent distance away from the humans, his priority switched from escaping to finding his hideout. He had a special cave that was naturally created in the side of a hill that he used as his home. It wasn’t exactly as sophisticated as the mansion he used to live in, but hey, better than sleeping out in the forest. The cave was in the Dark Woods, but it wasn’t in the werewolves’ territory, more like skirting the edge of the forest. Close to Galeladus. The last thing he needed was having his home invaded by a bunch of stupid mutts. Wild mutt or tame mutt, didn't matter; both were irritating.

He caught sight of his home out of the corner of his vision, and he angled his wings to fly in that direction. Finally, he could rest. Finding someone to feed on had taken longer than he would have liked. The dumb weredogs were getting really touchy again, now that the killings were going on. And a rogue vampire like him with no allegiances, not even to his own kind? People like him were some of the first suspects. And as such his life was getting more difficult to live. Galeladus had a shoot first ask questions later mentality, and that didn’t bode well for someone who was alone and needed to hunt down humans - protected humans - by himself. He didn’t know why they cared; did it really matter if a human went missing here and there? Honestly.

Inside the cave, he switched back to a human and put his clothes on, an interesting array of curses spilling through his mind. The whole thing made him irritated, so it was better to not think about it. Getting mad would just lead to him wanting to kill someone, and everyone knew how ‘bad’ that was. He slumped down in a chair he may or may not have stolen from some nearby humans and yawned into his hands. No one knew where his cave was - the entrance was subtly hidden, and thus was hard to see - so no one should disturb him. Someone could have followed him here, but it wasn’t easy to track a dark bat flying past, even if he was big in bat form. They would probably regret it if they disturbed him anyway, as he would likely kill them. Unless they amused him, then he might give them a pass. He could go out later, scout around to make sure mutts weren't close. With that in mind, he leaned back and tried to get some sleep.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Ninka | 23 years (30) | Galeladus Guardian | Deputy
Weredog - Siberian Husky | Human Form
Location: Galeladus
Mentions: Rowan, Dorian

{Slight Mentions: Diamanta, Phineas}

Ninka, dressed in her typical-yet-sophisticated apparel, swiped her fingers through her dark hair, making sure it was perfect. Considering she was late, the least she could do was look presentable. It didn’t matter that she was the deputy, it wouldn’t be looked well-upon to be late to meeting up with Diamanta for the set-up of the patrols. If anything, that just meant she should more of an example to the rest in the pack. She checked her clothes, and at seeing everything was in order, she exited the house as quickly as she could, keeping in mind to swipe her jacket on the way to the door. Even with it being a bit harder to get sick as a weredog as opposed to humans, she didn’t want to catch a cold from the weather.

Ninka headed down the road at a quick pace, glancing up at the sky with narrowed eyes. The clouds were dark and brooding, and the ground below was damp from rain. It didn’t appear to be raining at this exact moment - at least, in this section of Galeladus - but Ninka was sure the spring morning was going to lead up to more rain before the day was done. Hopefully with spring the fish would be more plentiful in Bear Tooth River; the large prey they hunted had been more scarce for the last while. With luck, that wouldn’t last forever. Galeladus needed the deer out in the forest.

The closer she got to the gathering place, the more she had to skirt around puddles of water and mud. “On a scale of one to ten, how late am I?” Ninka muttered under her breath, shaking her head. She still couldn’t get over that. Everyone in the pack knew she was a stickler for laws and pack traditions. To have her be late for something as important as setting up patrols just blew her mind, and it probably would everyone else’s as well. There were attacks going on, vampires and werewolves killing humans right under the weredog pack and Galeladus humans' noses. The last thing they needed was lack of coordination. No one else would be harmed under their protection if Ninka had any say in it, so she needed to be more strict to herself.

Finally, she reached the gathering place. And the first thing she noticed was that no one was there. Oh, just perfect. She was so late everyone was gone. No, wait; Dorian and Rowan were here, both in dog form. They appeared to be talking, and were likely engrossed in their conversation. She didn’t want to bother them. Something had to be going on for everyone else to be gone; her scenting wasn’t as powerful as it was when she was in dog form, but she could still smell the scents of several other pack members other than Dorian and Rowan. Phineas included. She rolled her eyes at the thought of him and cast it out of her mind. Yes, because that guy was the top priority to think about right now.

Looking back over at Rowan and Dorian, she decided bothering them would have to be a necessity. She was tempted to race after the scents, but at the same time, if Diamanta went charging away with the others, maybe Rowan and Dorian would know why they left. And Cole had two deputies for a reason; they were meant to keep everyone together, even when they were separated into groups. And though she felt obvious affection and worry for her pack members, maybe it was better to stay here, if it wasn’t too serious.

She strode over to the two weredogs, crossing her arms over her chest. “Rowan, Dorian,” she greeted coolly, glancing between the two of the dogs. “Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I’m late, so I’m not up to speed of what’s going on. The others were here, right? Not too long ago, from the smell of it. Do you know where they went, and why?”
