Aaron smiled back at the elderly, about to say no, he was just looking for Jo but the woman's words made his heart stop, "Pregnancy?" He said, jaw slack as if he couldn't believe the woman's words. Was she getting too old to even remember what was going on in life or something?

Eliza cocked her head to the side before raising an eyebrow. "Well of course. Happened about a year ago. Poor girl. She never talks about the child's father. Says if he wanted to be in Paul's life, he would have came back to her. Oh how she can't stand the father. Makes me sad. I always think that parents should be together, but it doesn't matter. She has wiped her hands clean of the child, gave him away. I doubt the father even knows." She shrugged. "Do you want to come in and wait for her?" She opened her door, gesturing him in. "I'm actually about to leave but Jo will be back any minute."

"Do you happen to know who she gave the child away to? And I'm sure I'll be fine if you leave...I'm actually a good friend of Jo's." He gave the woman a smile, one that he had to force but a smile regardless. He couldn't believe that Jo kept him in the dark about this and he was going to have a hell of a discussion with her about this.

"Oh no, I don't, I apologize. I do know she visited them today." Then Eliza looked at the time. "Oh, I just go, but I do wish to see you again." And she left the room. It wasn't much longer before Jo made her way home. She saw a car in the driveway, and it didn't register to her that it wasn't her grandmothers. She walked into the house before going into the living room, her eyes widening when she saw Aaron there. "Aaron?" She questioned before frowning. "What are you doing here? You need to leave now!"

"Fuck you and your shit." He said standing up from the seat he was in, crossing his arms at her and returning the frown she gave him, but with more anger behind it. "You know, I was wondering where you went for the last nine months--it was weird how you didn't ever show up to school." He didn't mention anything about the baby to see how she would react.

Jo felt anger boil up inside of her. How dare he come into her home and yell at her and disrespect her? Who did he think he was? "Oh you already fucked me, didn't you? For a bet a I believe;" she growled at him, angry that her grandmother had allowed him in. Angrier at herself for walking right into his trap. "I had business to take care of, and it's not of your business so butt out! And even if I had, you wouldn't have known. I changed all of the classes I have with you." And she threw her hair over her shoulder. "You need to leave. Right now before I kick your ass out."

"I dare you to try, you'd just hurt that foot of yours in the process. I mean how are you though? You look good for someone that gave birth recently." He said since she didn't mention anything about the baby anyways, "Also how is the baby doing...heard you gave him away without the father's consent."

Jo's face turned white when Aaron brought up the pregnancy. How did he know about that? When he had found out? She raised her chin slightly and swallowed before pursing her lips. "How do you know about that?" She asks. Only her, her grandmother, and Paul's new parents knew. She sighed as she figured it must have been her grandmother. She looked at Aaron. "It doesn't even matter. Whether or not I told you, my decision wouldn't have changed."

"Not sure who she was to you but the elderly woman that lived here brought it up..." He said glaring her down, "And it does matter because it really confuses me how you legally gave up the child for adoption without both parent's consent, he is my biological son and I had a right to know."

"Will you just shut up!" Jo exclaimed, tired of hearing such nonsense. "What would it have changed? Would you have kept him? I don't think so. I wouldn't have left you. Not only are we both just in college with jo idea where our life is going, but this baby wasn't made out of love. And there is no fucking way that in gonna let a kid grow up without two parents that love each other!" And she threw her hair over her shoulder. "If that's all you came for. you can go back where you came. Don't let my foot kick you on the way out."

"Actually no I won't shut up, and I won't let you hear the end of it until you know exactly how I feel. Yes I may have kept him, I had the time and money to take care of a child even if the mother refuses to do so. I would've done it on my own." He gave her a sarcastic smile before leaning on the kitchen counter, not listening to her when she said to get out.

"You don't get it, do you?" Jo raised an eyebrow at him. Before she had met him, she had always thought of Aaron as a dumb jock. That had changed when they had went out. But then again, it seemed like he was going back to the dumb jock she had known. "They can offer Paul something that neither you or I could. A complete family. And that's what a child needs most. So no I'm not sorry for not consulting you. You aren't sorry that you did that bet, how are you? And you didn't tell me about that." Jo shook her head. "Why are you here?"

"I got the family part but frankly I would've wanted to at least see him before you gave him away and I originally came here because I was actually worried about you. I've been wanting to say sorry since you left the cabin but I never got a chance to do anything I had planned that week and now I have something in my back pocket that I realize now would probably do better in the trash than on you."

"Oh I'm so sorry for ruining your plans! So sorry that my feelings got in the way!" Jo exclaimed, shaking her head. Jo was never one to hate people, but in that moment she really did hate him. Or at least she wanted to. Her heart had didfernt plans. Why couldn't her brain and heart agree? Jo ran another hand through her hair. "Then throw it in the trash Aaron. I don't want nor need anything from you and neither does our son. Can't we just leave things as they are? They're ruined enough."

"Oh I plan to sweetcheeks." He snarled back at her and grabbed the tiny box from his pocket, throwing it with force in the trash before she could have a glimpse at what it was. It made a horrible and loud clanging noise that even rung in his ear but he was too furious to even care that that small expensive item was literally in the trash.
