He shrugged and adjusted his arms around her, pulling her onto his lap to make it more comfortable for the both of them, "It was hard at the time, but it probably would be pretty easy comparatively. Less... stuff." He cringed, and shrugged again, "Yeah, sorry because that made no sense. And my day was fine, pretty much just read the whole time. Like usual."

"Less stuff. Ok then." She laughed and kept her face in the crook of his neck, "I'm surprised you haven't ran out of books by now to be honest."

He rubbed her leg while she laughed, and snorted, "Yes, less stuff. I guess I meant less... advanced stuff? Like genetics were most definitely not a thing when I was in school..." He shrugged slightly, not enough to disturb her face, "I just get whatever I can, even if it's terrible. There's always something new coming out, so it's not really that hard."

"Hmm." She frowned slightly and pulled her face back a but so she could look at Damiaan, "I don't understand why the so called 'urges' haven't hit me yet. Not even last night. As happy as I am what if there's something wrong with me?"

He raised an eyebrow at her noise, but just looked at her and listened while she spoke, albeit frowning just a little, "They're probably just not setting in yet. Have you had anymore problems with the teeth?" He took her hand, and as his fingers brushed over the bracelet he looked down at it and smiled.

Kelsie shook her head at the question, "Nope, not since yesterday morning." She lifted her hand up higher and gave him a smile when his fingers brushed over the jewelry.

Damiaan pursed his lips at her response, and grunted slightly before saying dryly, "With our luck, it'll happen at dinner tonight in the restaurant. Yay." He shook his head as he slow-clapped, then returned his hand to hers and gently kissed the inside of her wrist, then put her hand on his neck.

"Ugh goodness..." She closed her eyes and opened her mouth to say something but the door of the bookstore opened, causing her head to look in that direction. A man walked in, his face covered by the hood of his sweater and his fingers reached for a book as if he knew exactly where it was when he walked in. Kelsie got off of Damiaan's lap but watched the man with a skeptical expression.

He laughed at her response, and was about to add that that was highly unlikely when the door opened, and he looked up to see if he could recognize the person--also highly unlikely--and when he didn't he turned back to Kelsie, who had removed herself from him and was looking at the man who came in. He pinched her leg under the table with a snort, wondering why she was so skeptical-looking, and moved his book to the side after that, so there was room to check the man out if he actually decided to buy something--highly unlikely.

Kelsie barely flinched when Damiaan pinched her leg but gave him a glare before turning her attention back to the man, who had placed five books on the counter. All were related to supernatural beings. The man never said a word and just put out a hundred dollar bill for the books. When his head moved in the direction of Kelsie he did a double take, shaking his head as if he was trying to rid himself of the sight in front of him. After that he didn't bother getting chage for the books and just ran out of the bookstore, all five books in his hand.

Damiaan smiled and poked her leg this time when she glared at him, and chuckled quietly before looking at the books in front of him, wondering if he'd ever read any of them. He'd read one, but that wasn't too much of a surprise, as he wasn't really into nonfiction so much as fiction these days. He grabbed the hundred dollar bill and was about to get the change for the man --he hadn't seen his reaction to Kelsie--when he bolted out of the store with the books, leaving Damiaan no time to even try and stop him for his change. He looked at the hundred and frowned, "I think I just stole fifty dollars."

Kelsie hadn't seen the face of the man, leaving her confused as to why hers would cause that man to leave in such a hurry, "I have a weird feeling about that guy...did you see the way he reacted when he saw me?" She rested her elbows on the counter and leaned on it.

Damiaan just sighed and put the hundred away, "Do you want the fifty? I can't leave it in here for when i do the tally at the end of the month, I'll get busted for theft." He looked up at her again when her words registered, and he shook his head, "Maybe he was just surprised that there was someone other than me in here, you aren't exactly the type to be in a bookstore willingly. And no, i didn't see, what did he do? Besides leave and make me a thief." He mimicked her position and leaned on the counter, but got bored of that and turned to look at her, taking her hands in his.

"Why don't you just keep it as a really big tip?" She squeezed his hands slightly and looked at the door? "If he was surprised to see me, would he have run out the door without the fifty?" She asked still unsure of what just happened.
