"Oh I see, any particular reason you moved here?" Kelsie asked with curiosity, if he was planning to move schools, it was a really bad time to do so since the semester was almost over, but for all she knew, he could've been finished with his schooling already and was just looking for a place to settle.

Damiaan smiled at her over his coffee, knowing that she was going to start in with the questions. He was perfectly happy to answer them, as he wasn't worried about her trying to kill him in his sleep or something of the like, "Not really, no. Just... opportunity, I guess. I grew up here, too, so that had a lot to do with it." That wasn't a total lie, he had visited the city and stayed for a few years when it was still forming...

Kelsie nodded and finished the last few sips of her drink, looking at her phone, she had thirty minutes left until class. She might as well go to her chem teacher to catch up on the few things she missed when she dropped her parents off at the airport. "Well I got to head to class now, it was nice talking to you." She smiled lightly before picking up her backpack and discarding the paper cup and bag in the garbage, walking to her chem class.

Damiaan took a large drink of his coffee, instantly regretting the decision as he burned the back of his throat and his tongue. He refrained from cringing as Kelsie said she had to leave, and he smiled at her and nodded in response to her words. He looked at his own phone next, frowning. He had twenty minutes to get to his job at the bookstore a few blocks away from here, so he sighed and got up to leave, wishing his coffee was slightly hotter.

When Kelsie went to the chem class, she reared back a bit when she heard a loud news update playing from the speakers. She walked in the class hesitantly and her teacher looked up at her, turning off the news, smiling at her. "Hi Kelsie, how can I help you?" Mr.Deaton said closing a few binders and putting them to the side of his desk. "I'm just here to pick up the notes from Thursday that I missed." She said back putting her back pack down so she could take out her chem binder. Mr.Deaton nodded his head and took out one of the binders, opening it to a pink sheet. "This is all you missed, everything I taught that day is here." He handed her the pink sheet and closed up his binder with a wham. Kelsie thanked her teacher before tucking it into her own binder, walking out of the class and into her first block class.

Damiaan, despite his wish to arrive at work early, walked leisurely to the bookstore, enjoying his coffee and the sights of the city. When he walked inside the store, he smiled at his boss--an elderly woman who almost always made him cookies every day--and took his usual place behind the store counter. As per the usual, he emptied the register and took the tips from yesterday, keeping about half for himself and putting the other half in Rhona's granddaughter's college fund.

When the school day ended, Kelsie went home and slumped down on her couch, she really wanted to go out for another jog but wasn't sure if she had the energy to. Sighing, she shook her head as she stood up again, going to change. As tired as she was, she liked jogging and didn't want to miss any more of it. After she changed she took her headphones out like she had the previous night and went the same route as always.

The bookstore wasn't very busy that day, so Damiaan managed to finish a few of the books he had been reading but hadn't been able to get around to. He smiled at Rhona as he left--the old woman lived in an apartment on top of the store, and she usually paid him to go get groceries for her so she never left the place. It was late by the time he was finished closing, the sky was almost dark. He looked at the ground as he walked, so he wasn't paying attention and ran right into someone. He looked up to see Kelsie, and he opened his mouth to say hello, but then he noticed she had headphones in.

Kelsie had almost fallen over when a large man ran into her, when she fixed her footing she looked up and saw Damiaan with his mouth half open as if he was about to say something. She quickly took out her earphones and smiled, "Oh hi, Damiaan." She paused, "Do you live around here?"

Damiaan closed his mouth as she took out on of her earbuds, and smiled back at her, "Hello." He looked up at the street at her question, "Yeah, I live in that apartment building." He pointed at the building he was talking about, and smiled back down at her, "Do you usually run this way?"

Kelsie nodded, slightly out of breath, "Yea, I like to jog this way." Kelsie didn't say this but this path reminds her of when her and her brother used to walk with their parents, "And you? I mean...uh, do you walk this way usually or is this a one time thing?"

Damiaan nodded at her words, and smiled slightly. He never did anything that involved physical activity unless he had to, and somehow he managed to stay how he always looked. He turned around and pointed at the bookstore, which he could barely see, "I work there, so I always walk home. So, I usually walk this way."

Kelsie laughed a bit at her self, "Of course," she muttered, "I go to that book store sometimes, I've never seen you there, did you just start recently?" She asked, even though the last time she was there was almost six weeks ago.

He raised an eyebrow slightly at her comment, but didn't say anything. He nodded at her inquiry, "Yeah, I only started about two weeks ago." He thought it was a rather nice store, there was a pretty good variety of books, and Rhona let him read while he was working.

"Ah I see." Kelsie said before deciding to go back so she could study for an upcoming test, "I'll see you around then!" She stuck her head phones back in and jogged back home.
