Kelsie looked at his thumb that was currently over her pulse, "What are you doing right now?" She asked, "Are you checking my pulse to make sure I'm alive." She scoffed, meaning it as a joke.

Damiaan looked down at their hands when she asked what he was doing. He didn't even know he moved his thumb, but the fact that it was pressing down on her pulse told bad things about his blood status. Damiaan bit his lip, and drew his hand back so that he was just holding Kelsie's fingers, "After this, it might be a good idea for me to get something to drink." He looked at her seriously, hoping she got what he meant.

Kelsie nodded before looking at his hands, and pulling hers away from him, just to be safe. "How much do you usually need per day?"

Damiaan was sad when she pulled her hands away, but he knew that was the safest thing for her. However, that didn't stop him from pouting a little, "A day? Maybe... half a pint? Usually I can make it about two days, but that means I need more..."

Kelsie nodded her head, trying her best not to throw up, "Ok I think that's enough talk about that for today. I'm still a little grossed out about your appetite." The food arrived a few minutes later and she ate quickly, knowing that Damiaan shouldn't wait very long to get his daily fill.

Even though she had asked, Damiaan still winced at her words, "I'm sorry." He frowned, then snorted, "It is disgusting, though, isn't it?" He'd never really thought about it, as he had had to do it for a very long time, it was just a way of life now. And now that Kelsie brought it up, he started thinking about all sorts of blood-transferred diseases, and he went pale--if that was possible--when he realized that his usual source of food was much more likely to be carrying said diseases. He shuddered, then started inhaling his human food. He had been hungry for a while...

Kelsie nodded her head and smiled at him finishing up her plate. "So did you want me to...um wait in here while you go off or did you want to end the day here, even though it's still eleven in the morning."

Damiaan finished only moments after Kelsie, and leaned back in his chair as he thought about what she said, "You can wait here, I shouldn't be very long." He looked at her for a moment, then said, "But... what would we do when I come back?"

"Uh..." Kelsie hadn't thought that far ahead, "We can watch a movie at my place." She offered not exactly sure what he liked to do in his spare time other than...

Damiaan couldn't help but smile at her pause, and moved to get out of his seat after her suggestion, "Sure, as long as your friend won't suddenly show up." He was completely joking, and he honestly wanted to see what Sophia would do if she caught him and Kelsie together watching a movie. He snickered to himself, then leaned on the back of his chair, "Do you want me to meet you here or at your car?"

Kelsie rolled her eyes hoping the same thing, and especially hoping that Efren wouldn't have the guts to come back, "Don't get your hopes up." Kelsie pulled out her wallet before continuing, "Meet in my car, I'll be heading there after I pay." She walked to the front and paid for both their meals before heading out to her car.

Damiaan laughed at her comment, and nodded before straightening and putting a hand in his back pocket, "See you there." He quickly walked out of the building, rubbing his arm again, looking for somebody sleeping somewhere. It didn't take him long, and it was only about fifteen minutes before he was able to go back. He got inside Kelsie's car, and smiled at her mildly, "Do you have a house or an apartment?" He didn't know why he was asking, he guessed that he just wanted to take the subject off of his blood problem.

Kelsie started up her engine when Damiaan got in, "House, my parent's house actually." She didn't mention the fact that they weren't at home just to see Damiaan's reaction.

Damiaan nodded when she said house, then frowned at the rest of her sentence. Great, her parents' house." He sighed and rubbed the back of his head, then said blandly, "Don't go trying anything, then."

Kelsie knew he would react something along the lines of how he did, "They are on a vacation for their anniversary." She finished, smirking at his annoyed face.
