Kelsie rolled on her back and looked over to Damiaan, he looked completely fine from the outside but god knows if he was actually feeling fine. When his eyes opened again, she smiled a little at him then asked when he didn't say anything, "Are you feeling any better?"

Damiaan frowned a little, and while he waited for god knows what to happen he tried to gauge if he was actually sick or not. His headache had thankfully subsided, but his eyes were bleary and his throat was very, very sore, but other than that he felt fine... so maybe he just had the flu or something stupid. When Kelsie smiled at him, he tried to smile back, and when he talked his voice was super hoarse and croaky, which made him cringe, "Not really, no... worse, if anything."

Kelsie gritted her teeth, just trying to figure out what she could do at this point to help him. It wasn't until she looked closely to his eyes that she let out a small scream and sat up abruptly, "That's not normal...that's not fucking normal!" The part that was supposed to be white, was red, completely bloodshot.

Damiaan jumped at her sudden explosion, and it was a few moments before he could do anything else. When he was functioning again, he reached for her hand, wincing a little as he squeezed it, "Hey, I think I just have the flu... that's exactly what it feels like."

"No flu virus makes your eyes blood red, none." She stared in horror. His eyes....his eyes just scared the crap out of her and they were still giving her the creeps. "And now that I think about it, your skin...is more pale than usual, it's like you're freaking dying all over again Damiaan."

Damiaan turned his head into the pillow when she mentioned his eyes, not wanting her to stare at them anymore, "Maybe not, but being extremely tired does make them red." He gripped her hand firmly, finding the feel of it comforting, "Kelsie, I'm fine, I'll be fine, if I'm not... then take me to the hospital, take me wherever, as long as it convinces you that I'm okay."

"You're not fine Damiaan. You're eyes aren't slightly red from sleep deprivation, they look like the blood is...soaking in them and...I can smell the blood in your mouth. This is bad." She didn't want to take him to the doctor otherwise he may be pegged as something else besides a normal human and she didn't want that for him.

Damiaan just sighed, and he let go of her hand to pull the blankets up over his shoulders, feeling suddenly cold, "Just give it a couple hours, okay? It'll pass soon..."

"Fine. I'll give it a few hours." She sighed as well then started making her way out of the bedroom, "I'm going to let Evan know that we're staying for a week then get some food for us." She announced before taking off towards the smaller house on the other side of the acreage. It only took her a good thirty seconds to get there, of course she was running the entire time though

He sighed in relief when she decided to leave him alone about his condition--he was not in the mood to argue with her right now, his throat was already starting to hurt more from talking just that little bit. He turned onto his side to get his face out of the pillow when she was gone, bringing the blankets up to his chin and closing his eyes. He didn't really mean to fall asleep right then, but it seemed that he was much more tired than he thought he was...

After a short conversation with Evan, Kelsie brought back a few things and started cooking. She was hungry...like really hungry so she ended up cooking a bigger portion than she was used to but also made quite a bit for Damiaan, in case he wanted to eat. After everything was cooked thoroughly, she walked up the stairs and pursed her lips when she saw Damiaan asleep. Letting out a sigh, she just went back down the stairs and started eating. It might be better off if Damiaan had some more sleep anyways.

Damiaan barely even moved the whole time he was asleep, seemingly perfectly content buried under the blanket, snoring softly. He kind of woke up when the door to the room opened, but he didn't really open his eyes until the smell of food hit his nose, and even then it took him a while to be able to get up. His throat was still sore, but when he went into the bathroom to look at his face his eyes were much less red than before--as of now he just looked like he'd been rubbing them too much. So since he looked fine, he went downstairs, yawning a little as he found Kelsie eating.

Kelsie looked up at Damiaan when he walked into the dining room and gave him a small smile before she stood up and walked over to the oven. "I made a bunch of food for you..." She had left it in the oven to keep it warm. Taking it all out, she put it on the kitchen counter. "If your throat us still bothering you and you can't eat that much then just leave it, if you're fine then feel free to eat all of that."

Damiaan smiled back and stood there while she got the food for him, going over to where she put it before just getting a small portion and sitting down at the table, poking at it for a second, "Would you believe me if I told you I wasn't that hungry?"
