Due to popular demand, I've decided to turn an initial idea for a 1x1 into a full-fledged RP anyone can join! Based on an RP I did in FeralHeart back in the day, we'll follow Kanut (Kah-noo) as he journeys from his homeland into the wintry setting of his new home, struggles to begin a new clan of fellow saber-toothed cats, and seeks revenge against the dire wolf pack who slaughtered his birth clan and family. -Rated M -Characters need Inuit names. Google is packed with them! -Literate writing skills are a must, but you don't have to type a novel with every post. Everyone gets writer's block! -Please post a character sheet so we can all see how pretty you are! Doesn't have to be super detailed and fancy if you don't want it to be! -When cubs come into the story, pleeeeease refrain from useless cub drama: By this, I mean the old cliches. Don't go breaking limbs from a small trip, don't go running away every five minutes, don't be bitten by anything venomous, you get the drill. Cubs are cubs, not ticking time-bombs of premature death. -Following that, mates are allowed, both permanent and temporary. -No Mary Sue's here. No one is a god in battle. Please ask permission, though, before going out and crippling or killing anyone's character. -Due to the RP getting so big so quickly, I ask for everyone to just stick with one character for now to keep things organized. -The Mortla Clan (once it becomes officially established in RP) will reside in a rocky cave in the mountains behind a frozen waterfall, so keep the environment in mind! -Have fun! Kanut's thick coat wavered in the freezing wind that blasted down from the mountains. He squinted as the onslaught of snow pelted at his face, striking at his eyes and nose with biting coldness. He grunted, trudging on and upwind, keeping his head down to avoid the down draft. His pawprints behind him were quickly covered by the falling snow, leaving no trace that a lone sabertooth was traveling in such harsh conditions. Luck was on his side that day, though. Within a mile's trudging he came to the bottom of the mountainside, and that was where he discovered the cave. It wasn't much, but it was deep enough to keep out the elements and keep him from freezing to death. He had to crawl in, his head barely scraping the opening's ceiling, but it soon opened up to a much taller height, and he was able to stand and look around. Signs of life that once dwelled there were evident. Piles of furs were heaped on small ledges, and in the center of the cave were the charred remains of a woodpile. Kanut brushed that to the side with a harsh snort; humans. What pathetic little scraps of meat. Perhaps they had died as the winter had swept down the mountains. Oh well; finders keepers. He settled on one of the fur piles comfortably, resting his head on his paws. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Osha's golden coat would be pelted with frozen rain drops. Some would cling to the ends of her fur turning it a white color. The wind would tussle and tangle longer strands of fur along her neck. It was in her best interest to seek shelter from the blistering cold. Her trek to the bottom of the mountain would leave her tired, her months long journey was going to come to an end...hopefully. Once the steep incline was behind her Osha would stand blinking at the landscape, golden eyes searching for a safe haven from the weather. As is a blessing from the God's above Osha would spot a cave, little hesitation was made until she reached the enterance. The scent of another would hit her nose instantly. A fresh scent that of a male, with a faint aroma of man. There was a debate over leaving or entering the only shelter that seemed to be around. Timid steps would soon lead her forward into the cave, crouching lower as she entered. "H...hello??" her soft honey voice would speak out. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kanut's vicious snarl echoed in the cave. The massive brute was on his paws in a heartbeat, his incisors dripping with menace, the thick scruff of fur around his neck bristled. His lip lowered somewhat when he saw what the voice belonged to. Another saber! He closed his mouth, albeit the best he could, but remained on his feet. "Forgive me," he grunted, his voice low and guttural, almost unused. "I... wasn't expecting to see our own this far north." His eyes, a wild mixture of blue and gold and russet, were wary, a bit narrowed as he assessed the situation. A female was smaller, but more agile. The cave was large, but a brawl would send both of them crashing into the walls. She didn't seem hostile, though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Osha would step back as the snarl resonated through the cave. She had been corrected in assuming someone was claiming the cave thus far. On first approach he had been agressive, but that would dissipate with his apology. "It is alright, it was I that intruded on you." voice remained lowered as she spoke. He was correct it was not like their species to travel so far north but Osha did not have much of choice. "I was forced out here by the wolves..." there was a heavy weight to her tone. Remembering theit crime against her and her now deceased family. Further steps would be taken into the larger opening of the cave. She would pose no threat to the male, as she only sought to use it to keep warm. "My name is Osha." she would finally offer a more proper greeting to him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sesi / 2 years old / Rogue / Mentions: Open Snow glided to the earth, falling on a certain cat. Her already gray and white coat blended well in this region. The freezing winds numbed the pain that hissed from the scars littering her body. She was once beautiful, with flawless coat that shines in the sun. Now, scars across her structure ruined that making it impossible to be as before. She knew this. She remembered the looks of hate and disgust from others she came across. Those faces made her seek out solitude. It was nice, to do as she pleased without anyone judging her. Despite the chilling winds, a content expression graces her features enjoying the cool snow damping her fur. Unfortunately, it was getting too freezing for her. Her body shivers violently. Seeing no cover in this wonderland of white, she decided to dig herself cover. Her sharp claws rake through the snow eager to get any type of warmth. Her stubby tail twitched, ears perked on top of her head listening out for any type of danger. 0 players like this post! Like? |

-Standing apon the rock of an outcropping, a sheer, copper male with a main of pure fire mooned after the land before him with eyes of crystal. His main danced in the wind that ripped down the mountain behind. With a smoke of breath fleeing from his nostrils, he makes his way down the outcropping. His nub of a tail sticking close to his rear as to keep is nethers warm. Trudging through the snow, he seemed to float due to his white unders. A bold colored butterfly of nature's design. His sabers burned with evrry gust if wind that swallowed him. Feeling a desperate desire to lick them he opened his mouth, only to clamp it shut, knowing that his saliva would freeze and make his sabers even more painful.- 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aguta trotted through the snow, fairly invisible due to her white coat. Puffs of air came into her vision as she then stopped, spotting a hill, with a cave like entrance. Her fur stood on end as she approached, her breathing going faster. She stopped in her tracks, smelling other sabers and the hint of humans. 'Are humans capturing us?' was her first thought as she lowered herself. She continued to walk, very slowly, even thought the cave entrance was more than 50 feet away. Finally the curiosity got the better of her then she ran, getting closer and closer. Finally she got there and looked inside, seeing sabers but no humans. She stepped inside before sitting down, observing the others as she tried to stay away from them at the same time. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sesi / 2 years old / Rogue / Mentions: Open IT didn't take long to create a reasonable sized hole within the ground. It would serve as a place for warmth and shelter for the young female. Clearly proud of her handy work, Sesi looked over her shoulder once more. The winds at this point picked up, making it hard to make out anything in this snow storm. Even her senses were shut down, she couldn't smell a thing. Shrugging her shoulders, Ses slip down in the makeshift den. It was a tight squeeze but it worked. The hole was below the snow leave, dirt rubbed up against her coat clinging annoyingly. She would definitely could use a bath right now. Sadly, some areas Ses couldn't reach with her tongue. "Great." She mutters under her breath, rounded ears fall back a sure sign of annoyance. At least she was getting warmer. Ses shifted, turning her body so she was facing the entrance. Settling down, the white spotted saber cat placed her elegant skull on top of her paws. Her eyelids half open, the journey from the east was tiresome. A small nap couldn't hurt? The winds outside were music to her ears, lulling her to sleep. 0 players like this post! Like? |

-Densa, the great sabertooth cat, stopped as a snow flake hit his nose. He flyinched, possibly too much at its cold touch, and in an attempt to recover, he began to run with great strides, roaring playfully. He ran, twirled, dove, and hopped. He becan to actually enjoy the playing. So much so that he didn't even notice a make-shift den, freshly made by Sesi. Still letting out thundering roars, he dove into the snow again, this time, it was too deep. All thats visible of him is his flailing back lega and a wiggly little bobbed tail.- 0 players like this post! Like? |
