Meaning ‘pure ancestry’ in Swahili, Mhenga Usafi is a clan dedicated to those who wish to avoid inbreeding in their pride either partially or completely. We welcome all manner of prides, be it natural, celestial, ‘colorbombs’, or anything else! The main purpose of the clan is to put those interested in ‘clean lined’ lions in touch with each other, through studs, cub sales, and more. @Corgis No one is in the obligation to pay anything. There are members that donate because they feel like it, but the months where we don't have the funds to pay for the fee we have clan raffles, to gather as much SB as we can for it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name: Hi! I'm Dia :) Breeding goals: Really only pretty, somewhat "natural" (in the sense that I breed mainly goldens and creams and generally prefer markings that blend well with eachother & the base) lionesses, stats are not my main focused, if nice. Pride Lore: Nothing very elaborate, but they live in the Okavango River Delta and are named after an existing Pride of lions, the Tsaro lions that live on the Duba Plains. From what I've read, they have some pretty interesting habits that are a result of their habitat (e.x. hunting by day as opposed to the morning/evening, living pretty much exclusively off a huge, about 1000 individuals strong buffalo herd). Lesedi, the second-in-command, chased out the previous leader of the pride because he was aging, weak yet brutal to the lionesses as a result to his moods. She united the other lionesses under her command and this coalition kept the territory until Akanyang arrived. He was charming and charismatic and allowed to stay, and as the events of the July Event played out, he even developed some sort of leadership qualities. Since then, more lionesses joined or were taken in, and Lesedi and Akanyang organize the daily live together. They are not mates, however, so she does not have the title of Queen, even if she is the oldest and most respected lioness. Whoops, this got long. Activity: I'm in Germany, that's nine hours ahead of lioden. Right now I am pretty much active from around rollover time to something like 12 am lioden time because I am on the computer an absurd amount due to work. Additional info: I was very unsure about joining, no knowing if I could "keep up" with no inbreeding, but in my opinion, once you start having Pride Lore and thus, assign personalities and stuff to your lions, inbreeding gets kinda uncomfortable, so I decided to just go ahead. ^^ EDIT: Oh dear, thank you, Berenos 0 players like this post! @Dia, if you only want specific words to be bold, then you can remove the * from <*/b*> (only the word between <*b*> and <*/b*> will appear bold) =) @Berenos, I have a whole zombie decoration set (face, body, legs all w/ full use) that I'd be happy to donate to the clan for a raffle (I already put the face in the hoard before asking, sorry!). I'm not sure if the zombie decorations are very popular, but I thought I should still offer 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Corgis Feel free to donate whatever whenever, I don't think feeling generous is something anyone could get mad over x'D I don't know if zombie decor is popular or not, however, but that doesn't matter. @Dia Don't worry, it happens to all of us! Plus your pride lore is very interesting, forgot to mention before :P 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah I know, I was failing a little there, no worries :D And thanks Bere, I was really thrilled to find out about the real-life Tsaro lions, which I hope are still kicking, because the website I found with infos about them was a little older ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name: I don't mind if you address to me by nickname :) Breeding goals: I'm new in this style of playing and haven't determined my goals yet. However, I'm not very fond of overly unnatural colorbombs (with some exceptions). The first thing I'm gonna focus on is creating a pure bloodline of kings. I'm also willing to breed for special bases (primarly Cherry Blossom, and hoping for Sunset, but alas, there's no pure heritaged Sunset studs yet). Pride Lore: The pride was founded by a young, curious and kind-hearted male lion named Jamali and his mate Kiara (not the Lion King's Kiara, she just happened to have same name). The whole story looks like a soap opera, I better not tell it here xD But of course it exists (though only in my imagination). I always consider my lions as characters rather than just breeding material. Making up stories is one of my favorite things about games like this. Activity: I'm in St. Petersburg, Russia, 10 hours ahead of Lioden time. I'm an active player, to this day I haven't skipped a single rollover. But there's no any specific time when I'm online, it depends of the circumstanses. Sometimes I only log in to rollover and don't stay online. Additional info:I came to the site because I wanted to play a lion life simulator rather than a "pet breeding game", and only then I discovered the breeding aspect. As I've already said, my lions for me are characters, not "lifeless" material. I imagine them having a life, a story, a personality. That’s why I’ll never use stat replacers - it’s like putting another character’s soul into your character’s body. I like to raise my lion’s stats by myself, step by step. I’m not a fan of overly unnatural bases/markings/mutations (especially Primal and all it’s variations, sorry Primal lovers). When I first saw players buying heritageless lions, I didn't understand why does it matter, because heritage doesn't affect the gameplay at all. Then I did some research and discovered such things as hard mode and clean heritage breeding. And then I realised that I really like this style of playing! It totally fits me. But I already have a pretty large pride of heritaged lionesses and I'm not ready to get rid of all of them, so I'll keep the old girls and at the same time will get new ones and start clean lines with them. I have to warn you that I'm not a native English speaker. But my level is enough to use the site without translators, it's also a good practice. I'm also a DeviantArt user for 6 years. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Welcome, Jamali! I had some troubles with lions' heritage too, since the beginning. Other players kept gifting me cubs, and I just couln't get past the "but this one isn't mine, I did nothing to achieve this" feeling they gave me. Finding others that experienced something similar is great :P Currently we don't have much going on around here - totally my fault, I don't have many ideas to make Mhenga Usafi flourish. Maybe after this week is done I can sit down and think what things would suit the clan, without copying from others. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hey guys I remember someone (can't remember who exactly) saying they were interested in natural looking lions and I had a cutie born today. She's dark brown with 46% Dark Brown Mantle, 23% White Undercover, 54% Onyx Panther and 82% Onyx Cheetah Royal 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 07/09/17 @ 07:46:00 by ✨nixie✨ (#94402) |

My heir . I've decided to raise this little plain low-statted fluffball into a king of my dream =) Now when stat-replacing become standard practice, it sounds like a challenge, but it's actually much fun! He's all mine, born and raised in my den, by my own lionesses. He was born with 87 stats, if I remember correctly. 0 players like this post! Like? |
