Meaning ‘pure ancestry’ in Swahili, Mhenga Usafi is a clan dedicated to those who wish to avoid inbreeding in their pride either partially or completely. We welcome all manner of prides, be it natural, celestial, ‘colorbombs’, or anything else! The main purpose of the clan is to put those interested in ‘clean lined’ lions in touch with each other, through studs, cub sales, and more. Name: I go by Brindle currently. Brin is also fine! Breeding goals: Natural lions, mostly golds and creams are my favorite, but I like browns/tawny shades that are technically in the 'red' group too. I also am focused on a Natural 'Primal only' pride (just for fun). Pride Lore: It does! Or at least it has one planned for the coming Primal Pride! Activity: My activity varies a bit, depending on my work and sleep schedule. I'm usually around in the evenings/early morning if not more though! Additional info: Let's see....Currently saving up to customizing my Primals, since a lot of them are kind of plain looking (read ugly as an old shoe in some cases), as well as build their stats up... Oh! And my naming theme is probably going to be inspired by a series called the Earth's Children by Jean M. Auel. Basically, it's a series set in prehistoric times (30,000 years ago) and deals with various ancient cultures. Since I'm going for 'primitive' Primals, it seemed fun to name them after 'cave persons'. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 04/02/17 @ 10:28:17 by Brindle [Natural Primal] (#21119) |

@Scottish Your breeding project is so interesting! It reminded me a bit of this urban legend/cryptid that roams UK countryside, that people speculate are large cats that were released once it was forbidden to have them as pets. I know it doesn't have much in common, but it did xD @Brindle I wasn't aware of that series! I'll see if my nearest library has it, and borrow the first for a bit, once my exams are over. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Berenos It's a pretty interesting series! It can get a little long when the author goes into intense detail, but if you like historical/prehistoric information, it's really interesting. My other idea was to base my Primals on the "Nunda" (beast of prey), also called "Mngwa" (the strange one). It's mentioned in the Harry Potter books, but the Nunda is actually an interesting bit of African/Swahili folklore. It's a giant cat that was supposed to stalk Tanzania. It's described as being "as large as a donkey" with "prints like a leopard but larger than a lion's" and " distinctive grayish brindled fur, huge claws, and enormous teeth". Sort of sounds like a Primal, right? 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Scottish You should search the Black Beast of Exmoor, then. It's really interesting. Is it just mass paranoia, or are there really large cats prowling Britain? Is it a never before seen species of feline, or is it a population of released leopards, pumas or panthers that managed to survive to this day? @Brindle I though you were talking about nundus, but maybe Rowling based them off of nunda? Nundus are great cats that resemble musculous leopards, with big claws and teeth, and a mane that resembles needles - or are actual needles, I don't know - and breath poisonous gas. 0 players like this post! I heard Harry Potter! I'm a sucker for those books/movies :D Guess I'll introduce myself here! Name: I usually go by Cosmic, but if someone has another nickname for me I'll go by that too! Breeding goals: I love celestial/ebony based lions, however I like natural lions too! Pride Lore: I will be making one up, as I have recently restarted this second account. Activity: Usually on everyday in the afternoons! However Tuesdays and Fridays less so. Additional info: Haven't got much else to say! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hey guys, I've decided that I won't be keeping this girl; I'm trying to get a smaller pride, and she has nothing to do with my current breeding project. She is a second generation cub, currently has 470 stats, had 21% of cub training and is now fully trained. She has the breed only markings Cream Soft Unders, Gold and Onyx Panther and Vitiglio 1 and 3, with applicator markings Fiery Undercover and Ivory Lace, and Saffron Undercover as event marking. I want her to go to a pride where she will be loved and stored in dynasty once she dies... Please PM me if you're interested! 0 players like this post! Like? |

She's lovely, Berenos! I'd take her but at the moment my pride is a massive work in progress. Hope she finds a good home! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Berenos She's a pretty girl! I wish I liked Vits more, but I tend to avoid them in my prides. Also, I'm trying to decide a name for my pride and I wanted to pick an area for them to live in in Africa. I'm thinking Tanzania so I wanted some place names from areas in Tanzania. I have a few I like (from nature reserves that have lion populations). Ruaha - originated from a tribal word meaning 'river'. Manyara - a name from the Maasai word emanyara, which is a local plant. Katavi - after a great hunter whose supposed to haunt a massive tree in the area. Mikumi - a type of palm found in the area. Tarangire - from theMbugwe word motarangireyi, meaning an encircling object. The word is a common noun in the Mbugwe language meaning anything forming a loop or a circle. It refers to a circling river in the area. So, which sounds like a good pride name for Chuma's coming pride? 0 players like this post! Like? |
