Nameless tilted his head with a small chuckle, almost awkward to respond,``Well,`` The smilus scuffed his large paw on the ground,``I have an alliance with a king dwarf, Odin! He is very sweet and charming! We are very close and I happen to adore him a lot!`` The smilus' smile only grew wider with the words of the small king, ``He is quite resourceful!``

After a moment of pondering, the large king shook his mane and stared at the one beside him,``What side did you choose this month? I personally love Menhit! She is a very sweet girl! I hate to see her go…``

Vulkyn gives a hearty chuckle at the smilus's question. "I, too, favor Menhit. She is a spirited lioness with the heart of a leader. I do hope her father sees reason, " his eyes narrow at his mention of Apedemak. "That King has strayed far from his original path. I only hope it does not take him too far. " The old King shakes his head and huffs a weary sigh. "Apollyon has good intentions. I just fear that his actions...may not be the best actions used to handle this situation." Vulkyn gives his mane a mighty shake before putting on a smile and turning to the king next to him.
"Now then, are there any pride members you regretted getting rid of, either due to space or because they didn't show much promise? I can name a number of them, and that number is too high..." The tired king truly shows his age with the weight of his last line, but he is listening intently to the other King's answer all the same.

Gardevoir stops and thinks about the history of his pride over the years. "Yeah, I've had a few I regretted getting rid of. That maofelis cub I got from Guèpard on her first breeding, he looked like a leopard. Like seriously, if someone did not know it was from my pride, they might have thought it was a leopard cub. I remember when Supernova would play with him. That was before she was in her first heat so maybe the hormones were getting to her? Anyway, I sold him with the hope that he would become someone's sub male. Instead, what happened was far more grim. He wasn't even close to being a potato cub, so in my eyes, he didn't deserve it. When I went to check on him, he didn't exist anymore. He was killed, and being so pretty for not having the genetics of a stud. I still cry at how unfairly treated he was. I was his father after all and he wasn't a potato unlike most of the cubs I've fathered!" He sighs as he remembers that cub. "Was it the golden base that lead to his demise? Because I think goldens are underappreciated." He puts a smile back on his face and asks "What's your theme for naming lions? I don't have 1 specific theme but one that I often go for is an African or Latin name as you can see with the lionesses of Dabae, the Arabic word for Hyena, and Solaria, a Latin based word relating to the sun."

Aloe thought for a moment, her scarred ear flicked away a pesky insect. "Well, we usually go with latin names, but recently we have started naming special cubs after recent events or certain figures. For example, a cub was born on the same day the great serpent was defeated, so it was only fitting to give her his name, Apophis." The brown hyena glanced back at her sister, who was fussing over her snake. "Fuchsia? Anything you want to add?" Aloe barked, Fuchsia looked up from Rhino, her ball python, and simply shook her head.

Aloe turned to the next ruler. "Do you have any regrets from before leading or in your early days as ruler? I can say myself that my biggest regret was not giving our first prophet the thanks she deserved. She brought the truth of the stars and the spirits into our pride, saved our lives by seeing the omens of storms, it's a shame she had to die in that stampede."

Villanelle looked straight in Aloe's eyes: "No, I don't think so. I don't have any regrets." She seemed very sure of it but if you observed her carefully you could see that while she was answering you, something that resembled doubt appeared in Villanelle's eyes for a split second. Konstantin noticed that but he didn't react. Villanelle looked like she wanted to go away already but her curiosity forced her to ask the next ruler questions she had on her mind:

"What are your criteria for frozen lions? Why do you want them to stick with you forever? Also do you wait with chasing/killing/abandoning potatos till they reach 5 months or do you do it just after birth?"

"My criteria? Simply if it were a lion who was special to the pride. If I wanted to, I'd use my canopic jellyfish to bring back Koman. He was a good king - and the pride's first king, too.

I tend to wait until they're a year old before I send them to the tree, sometimes I keep them."

"Well spoken." The wild abbess smirked with distain, dark lips revealing a mocking flash of oral knives. "But in your senseless babble you damned your turn to be without a question. Allow me to speak for us both, and ask the next royal brood something worth his time." Historia wished out her extended fur to tidy up her face. Her tongue bulged from her maw and slid over her own shoulder.

"What do you value most as a pride leader. Breeding projects, interacting with your pride, mass fodder to bloat your sense of holiness or corrupted power?" Her draconid eyes flashed with mild interest. "OOr do you fancy recording history and stories. And if so, share one with us."

Aloe straightened her posture, the brown hyena had been licking her shoulder. "Oh, well. We prefer a mix of several, we value the lives of our pridemates, but we not at all above murder. The cubs who don't pass the test get abandoned or killed, as an example. We have our fair share of stories, we record our history and our myths, I'd be happy to share."
Aloe glanced back at her sister, who had Rhino draped around her shoulders. "What do you think would be good to share?" Fuchsia tipped her head briefly in thought, and responded. "How about the river spirits?" The larger scarred hyena nodded, and she turned back to the previous ruler. "We believe that when you die, you become one of two things; A sky spirit, those who walk among the stars with the gods, or a river spirit, those who due to their actions in life get granted the chance to stay and guide their kin. They reside in the large river that runs through our territory."

It was Fuchsia who spoke this time, turning to the next leader. "Do you have any myths or legends that are unique to your pride? If so, would you be willing to share?"

Mzuka turned to Deadsummer, who was something of an expert in the pride's mythology. She smiled and nodded.
"Yess, we do have something like that," she hissed. "It's the myth of how I was born, really. A powerful Infernal God, the likes of which we haven't seen in years, claimed a lonely and dying lioness for his own. She bore his monstrous cub, me, and then was left a cripple. I guess that's what bearing a powerful god does to the body. She's a haunted-looking, skeletal creature, and she wanders our lands alone, watching me from afar. She's my mother, and I love her dearly for that, but she's just so miserable." Deadsummer frowned. "I suppose that's the most of our mythology, other than the rather twisted tale of how my second-in-command came to live with our pride. Ah, all stories for another day." She turned to the next ruler.
"Say, do you have any traditions or holidays that your pride celebrates together? Would you mind sharing one or two of your customs?"

N0X looked at Mzuka “ why yes we do it happens once a year when my pride has the most cubs mostly in July” he thought for a second “ all the cubs not worthy of living get a massive meal of the best meat we can get then I kill them!” He grinned happily “the mothers always hate that day but it needs to be done!” (He was evil at one point so ya!) he turned to the next ruler “ tell me what do you do when you have ore cubs than you can take care of?” He asked tilting his head

Gardevoir looked at N0X "It depends on the cub really." he forgot for a minute because of his old age "If the cub doesn't have many markings, but I still think it's a keeper because of the markings it does have, like for example Pheonix, who is a Double Feline 6, I will chase away older lions that aren't all that pretty. If the cub is worth keeping, but I don't feel like chasing lionesses away, I give away the cub in hopes that it goes to a loving home. If the cub doesn't have that many markings, or the markings it has aren't that visible, I will chase the cub after it is independent from its mom." He turned to the next ruler "Do you retire your lionesses older than 14 years or do you wait for natural death to happen?"

Raseri growled, annoyed by the questions. "When a lioness is 14 years old, I choose whether to keep her or kill her. Lionesses like Ydmyk and Liten die at 14 because their time in the pride is over and they have no special appearance or markings. Other lionesses might stay longer." He looked at the next king, and asked, "does your pride keep a record of its past?"

Pyro snorts, "The past is dead, just like the kings before me." Her brows furrow and her lips slide back to reveal shining and bloodied teeth, "I do not think about what is dead. I only think about how to make it that way." She giggles and turns to the next king.

Raseri smiled. "The pride keeps many traditions, some more important than others. For example, one of the most important traditions is the sparring in August, when the strongest pride members engage in mock battles to entertain Sol, the spirit of fire and war. Some lesser traditions include the initiation of a new huntress, etcetera." She tapped her claws on the rocks, before turning to the next king. "How does your pride fare during the fires?"
