Mzuka once again stepped aside so that his heiress, Deadsummer, could speak. She cackled.
"The fires? Darling, the fires are the time when my pride flourishes. We live and breathe fire. It's incredible," she said, mouth agape in awe as she reminisced on the times when fires swept the land. "We are an infernal pride, truly."

She turned to the next ruler.
"As for you, do you have any lions named after characters? Like characters from legends or stories."
(translation: have you ever named a lion after your favorite character from a show/movie/book/whatever)

Raseri smiles. "Yes, and I am quite proud of them. Their names are Sköll, Fenrir, and Hela. They are named after characters from the old stories of northern humans." She smiles, her paws glowing with the pale fire that always shines on her claws. Turning to the next king, she asks "does your pride worship any deities?"

Pyro stares at Raseri, somewhat perplexed, "Does... Does fire count as a deity?" She quickly shakes away her confusion and roars out, "FIRE counts as a deity, obviously, yes, I worship fire!"
Pyro puffs herself up, wanting to looking intimidating. Embers crackle around her as she glares at the next king, "You!" she growls, "What's your favorite delicacy? My favorite is lion flesh."

Mzuka jumps to the side, cowardly. Heiress Deadsummer steps into his place, as she's done many times before. She cackles. "Funny- we worship fire similarly!" she grins. "My favorite delicacy is probably human meat. It's stringy and feels a little hollow, but the bones are fun to chew and it's just so nice to see those terrified tourists watching me gnaw on the bones of their kin," she giggles. She turns to the next ruler.

"What do you do with unwanted cubs? King Mzuka waits until they're old enough and then sends them out on their own, but personally, I like to kill them. If they're useless, why should they live, right?

N0X smiled “ I agree with you why should they live! Who would wank a plain cub with nothing special about it!” He growled letting his claws out smiling as he turned to the next king “ what do you do with young males?”

Yixing was in the corner of the den, blinking around him wearily. He shot awkward smiles at anyone who glanced towards his direction, but then jumped at the sound of N0X's voice. "O-Oh, me?" He said, scratching the back of his neck. The felis' fire opal eyes appeared momentarily dazed, fluttering anxiously from one king and queen to the next, before he stammered out his answer. He was shaky, and a little jittery, or maybe more; But he seemed to be nice, just shy. "Ah... Well, I take care of them until they're old enough to fend for themselves, and then send them on their way. Maybe they could start their own pride! Or... Or," He blinked up at the ceiling, thinking, "I might let them stay, if I have the space." He looked towards the next king/queen, shuffling his paws nervously. "U-Uhm, what do you like to do in your free time, when you aren't busy taking care of your pride?"

Supernova smiled at the nervous king, trying to send friendly messages. "Well, like most of my pride, I watch the stars. There is much wisdom to be gained from sitting patiently and listening and sharing stories of the constellations, or those who died long ago." He glanced to the sky, almost as if he could see the stars now. "Tonight we might be able to see Jupiter." He turned to the next king, "What do you believe is the most valuable trait a ruler needs?"

Sundust stared at the ground with lidded eyes for a moment, deep in thought. "Well," he began, "my mother, our previous ruler, would talk to me often of such traits....but one that stuck out the most for me is patience." He looked behind him in the direction of his pride, his eyes seeming to search for each individual lion. "My pride is talented, diverse, and strong. But, not a single one of my lions and lionesses is the same. They each have their individual problems and opinions....a good leader needs the patience to listen to and acknowledge every single one. At least, that's what I try to do."
He looked back towards the gathering of rulers, his eyes scanning over every one before landing on the one beside him. "Now, I am a fairly new ruler. My mother stepped down a few days ago, and I have been...anxious...for lack of a better term. But...you. How do you think you will make a difference to your pride? Or, if you have been ruling for a while, how did you think you would do?" Only the twitch of his ears gave away the ferus's anxiety, but his face was neutral as he finished his question.

spe smiled softly "well i took over today actually!" she said smiling "my past king was a blood thirsty killer and well I want to be nicer but still intimidating know what I mean!" she answered then looked to the ruler next to her "what do you do when you get really busy like to relax?" she asked tilting her head

Yixing pursed his mouth, leaning forward and dropping his head unto his paws. He turned the question over in his head, fire opal eyes fixated on an uninteresting portion of the location as he did. The handsome felis would be a little more beautiful if it wasn't for his naturally fearful nature.
"I like to count the flowers in my home," He said, finally, before becoming embarrassed. "A-Ah, don't m-misunderstand! There are very few flowers in my home, so I try to count them when I see." He thought that, perhaps, a few kings or queens thought it to be effeminate and weak to do that, so he hung his head awkwardly and turned to the next ruler.

"Do you like cubs... As in, generally?" He whispered, voice a bit too soft to hear, but still audible if the ears are strained.

Kojo chuckled quietly at the ruler beside her,”We all love flowers sweetheart. You’re not the only one!”

Comfort glistened in her strange peacock eyes before they fixed on the skies above, as if they had an answer for the king’s question. Her wings ruffled for a moment, the satchel’s iron jingling from the action, before she fixed her gaze on the Felis once more. Her strange black and brown pelt truly looked elegant and lean, from the many adventures she had been on as the Ajambo Pride’s ruler, but she had only become a ruler a few days ago. She clicked her tongue for a moment before her silky voice found the words,”I do! Some can be a bit of a nuisance, but all are welcome in my pride. I was taught to love all that came to the pride, even the... the buggers!” She chuckled, her laugh surprisingly charming and deep.

A smile of amusement and welcome made way to her maw as she turned to the next king,”What’s the best story you have heard? Maybe from a pride member or maybe your own story?”

Fuchsia tipped her head at the queen, the brown hyena thought for a moment. "Well, there was one, from when my sister and I were still on our own. Aloe had been scouting out an area to find us water, it was the middle of a terrible drought and we were both weak from dehydration." The hyena barked, her head tipped as she recalled the tale. "She managed to find a waterhole, and we were excited and forgot to patrol the area for danger before hand. While I was laying in the shade, Aloe had her back turned, and out of nowhere a giant crocodile came charging at me!" She raised her front paws for emphasis, "Aloe, quick as a cheetah, leaped on it's back snarling and growling. I was too weak at the time to really defend myself, and she knew it. She managed to chase it away, and even take a chunk out of it's tail, all to defend me."

The large female hyena stepped forward to stand beside her sister. Aloe tipped her head. "Don't let me take all the credit, you blinded it while I was on it's back." It seemed the smaller hyena really looked up to her sister, and left her own part out of the story.
"Anyways." Aloe turned to the next ruler. "What about you? Any tales from your life or pridemates you'd like to share?"

"I'm light-hearted, energetic, charismatic and perhaps a little too jealous. This is to be expected from somebody with my position. I was born in a high class family in a normal pride. I lived comfortably until he was about 13 months old, but at that point life began to change. He got an important job patrolling the pride lands and was strengthening the relationship with both parents. With plenty of gold beetles and connections, I fulfilled dreams in a fantasy world. But with my talents and cunning, there's nothing to stop me from going beyond expectations. I could quickly become a lion of (great) importance. But things could change quickly; I am currently exploring everything. I feel like there's more watchful eyes than expected in this world. Luckily I have plenty of resources to support me. I will tell you the story of the time I met aliens at another occasion." He quickly turned away, wiping what appeared to be droplets of red off his muzzle.

Casting a smirk towards the next leader, she asked,

"Have you ever had trouble with lionesses suddenly leaving your pride?"

Yixing's eyes widened, almost as though the question was seemingly horrific, or brought on terrible memories. "N-No," He sputtered out, a little too breathy to be normal-sounding, but then he cozied up his paws against his abdomen and inhaled deeply. For a brief moment, he took the time to calm himself, the sudden numbing coldness of past experiences dimming down and ebbing away until it was a dull throb of a reminder. He blinked at the queen. "No, not... Not in my reign," He looked at the ground, mumbling softly, "I-I try to take care of them, as best as I can. Because they... They deserve it."

Casting a small, subtle smile, he turned to the next ruler with a disinterested, bored glint in his eyes. "Erm... Do you... Where do you think... Chased cubs go?"

"I've never chased a cub. I've never, well, had any cubs." The scarred brimstone lion roared. "I guess they just wander the savanna, maybe until they are dead? I would assume a cub wouldn't last long on their own out there.'" He roared, his gaze burned into the lion.

A smaller female dusty lion turned to the next ruler with a smile, as plain as could be. "How is your pride recovering after last month's locust plague?"
