Corrado seemed surprised by the question, he stared awkwardly then decided to answer "I came across something very special at the giving tree, too bad I was too late. Was ripped right out of my claws. I never seem to have good luck with things like that." With a shake of his mane he looked towards a lion across him "Have you ever gotten rabies? I heard during October the former king of my pride, Hesper, had gotten it and killed his own lioness before he was given the devils claw .Seems terrifying."

Alpha had to think about that for a while before answering Corrado's question. "No. I've never seen rabies. I've heard bad things. Is it always fatal? I guess...I've just been lucky. I've never seen an October, though. I guess that's why. I hope I can stay away from it. I hear devil root or something like that cures it. I should look for some of that just in case." Alpha took a moment to think about what he just said. It seemed to shocked even him a little.

Alpha decided to answer also Akima's question. "I explore a lot. I hear a lot about this February. I am very excited. It sounds fun. I sure do enjoy flirting."

He quickly turned to the next king.
"Anyway, do you tend to keep lionesses for their whole lifespan? Or do they stay for a while and then travel to the other prides? I'm asking because I've had more than a few cases of pride members mysteriously disappearing...and then I found out they were killed" Andromeda, one of the lionesses, froze after hearing these words. She hoped that king isn't suspecting anything. It's too soon, too soon for that. She's not ready yet...

"Well..it depends on a lot. If I don't want certain lionesses I usually send them away to a nature reserve..and if I do want to keep them, I just let them live until life fades away." Carpo answered Alpha's question. " I just keep the pretty ones"

Corrado looked at his paws as the awkward silence grew "Well I guess I will answer Alpha's question." He said "I usually don't, I often have to abandon many cubs. I rarely keep any Lionesses from the outerlands."

He turned to another lion "Have you perhaps taken the Journey to Vredefort Crater? I have heard many strange stories from lions who have. I am personally thinking of taking the journey myself but my pride isn't in the greatest condition at the moment."

Alpha stared for a while. "I have not. My coloring is simply luck. I would love to go in order to bless one of my lionesses with the same beautiful interstellar coat. However, I simply do not have enough silver beetles.." He looked sad as his queen laid her head down. "She is awfully ugly" he looked at Angeline. "I will likely have to chase her off." he sighed. "I hope I can get to the Vredefort Center soon." He grieved.

He turns his head to the right. "What is your prides biggest need currently? I am asking in case I can help!"

"I myself want to go on the journey, I fit all the requirements except one.. I don't have enough silver beetles to go on, although you don't need to help. I just won't have a chance at it this year" Carpo grinned. "The stuff this year sure aare pricey, doesn't seem like any of us will be able to afford much. Anyway, what have youu been doing during July so far? I've just been trying to impress a celestial lioness...not much luck with that."

Alpha couldn't help himself when he heard the question "I've been trying and failing miserably to collect axiom cores! I am very irritated at how difficult it has been. My mane must be Astral." He laughed. "It would go so well with my interstellar coat. I will keep trying, but it seems pointless at this point."

"I think I could buy a astral mane applicator for you, I have enough. And I won't use my axion cores on anything really." Carpo suggested, "I can't allow them to go to waste really. Would you like me to give you it? Free of charge, I'm feeling quite generous today." He chuckled.

"I would love that." Alpha speaks up, his deep and soft voice breaking the silence. The lioness beside him perks her head up as the males begins to speak. "I certainly would appreciate that." he chuckles and swishes his tail from side to side, "I owe you."

While the lioness runs off to hunt, Alpha looks around and asks a question that has been stuck in his mind since he was a cub, "Forgive me if this is a silly question, I've just been given the position of king...well, recently really, but... Do you like keeping lions with lethal mutations in your pride? Thankfully my pride hasn't had anything to do with lethal mutations yet but...... I wouldn't know what to do really."

"Huh...I haven't dealt with one either..but I'd probably freeze them if I wanted to keep them or use a mutation remover. That's all you can do really." Carpo sighed. "Besides being deaf, I can only imagine how pai ful it must be for cubs who have those unfortunate mutations." His head dropped a bit due to the topic of such a serious thing.

Alpha thought about it for a while and said "I know other prides have had unfortunate things happen. There are cubs born with two heads. I've seen them with cracked skin that kills them before they are even one moon. I would rather have a non-lethal mutation in my pride like Achromia or a Mane mutation. I even have the goal of breeding a first gen hybrid." He looked as the lionesses in his pride with shame. They had given him nothing but grief.

"Have you ever bred a combo base from its factors on the first try? I have heard that it is so hard that you might get 200 cubs, all of whom are fails."

"No, I don't think so. I breed for pretty lions, so markings are the biggest factor. It must be extremely hard for those who try to breed combo bases. I just don't really see the point in a rare base." He said, "by the way...what do you breed for? Stats? Bases? Markings?" Carpo asked

Alpha hesitantly walked up to the crowd of kings and queens, clearly nervous but smiling. "I have yet to decide. I have very few stats!" He turned to the king who had last asked a question and said, "I have a fantastic base! Are my markings very pretty or are they pretty dull?"

He smiled at the crowd and turned to the next lion, "What mutated lion have you had that you are most proud of? Let's spread some good vibes of our success!"

"Well your markings seem okay, they aren't the most impressive but way better than mine, for a fact I only have one marking..I do have a frozen dwarf lioness. A couple achromias and bob tails, and one foldie." he said. "I spend a lot of time trying to find lionesses I like, it's quite tiring." he sighed, looking pretty drowsy say the least. "Rare mutations take extremely long to get, so I get them from other lions..ha-ha" he chuckled.
