Cantorus leapt upon a small rock ledge so that he gazed across the sea of manes and rippling muscles. He drew himself to his full height and answered in a crisp, velvety tone that echoed out across the pridelands.
“I, myself, have a certain distaste for what they call ‘primal felis’. They look… unnatural. However, I choose not to judge them as they have never done me wrong… yet.” His gaze darted around suspiciously as his pride circled tentatively in challenge behind him.

His voice awoke every bird in their nest as he addressed his question.
“What do you think of hybrids, fellow lion?”
And with that, he leapt from the rock he had so precariously perched himself upon and weaved through the throng of lions.

Weasel`star murmured something inaudible before speaking up "I've never found any other... creatures quite as interesting and unique as hybrids, not even those so-called 'Primals'. I haven't yet had a hybrid in my pride, of course, I wouldn't mind allowing one, two, or a few maybe to live amongst me and my pride-mates." Weasel`star nodded solemnly.

The skull masked lion turned to the next king or queen, swinging his head so strongly the weasel sitting atop the skull he wore had to hold on tighter with its tiny claws.

"...What's your biggest regret?" From Weasel`star's tone of voice there seemed to be some hidden purpose in his words.

The Primal king suddenly lowered his ears a bit. “ Ah. My biggest regret would be not returning sooner to my pride. You see, I have been on a voyage for a few months, and because of that, I lost my most loyal lioness. Her name was Heathen, stunning little thing she was. Even if she wasn’t the harshest lioness, or the strongest, she was my favorite. I regret not returning sooner so I could see her again. I had to start all over from scratch just recently, but in all honesty, that is the one thing I regret. “

He turned to the next ruler, her ears finally perking up and putting on a fake facade of a friendly manner. “ Now, my friend, what base do you admire most? It can be any base, even if it’s special or common. “

Casantos eyebrows furrowed sympathetically, her demeanor changing almost instantly. "It's a real shame you lost your pride, I wish you luck in your rebuilding" She nodded, reassuring The Primal King. Calcareous puffed his chest out with pride, glad to speak of his pride's cubs. "We've had quite a few actually, I can already see Joy and Lunaris being outstanding hunters! Celeste is quite adorable, though quite a handful, she tends to do whatever comes to her mind." He chuckled thinking about the shenanigans all his pride's cubs got into.

He chuckled before shaking his head, having a feeling no one wanted to listen to his rambles about how a cub managed to catch a butterfly.

"What would be your favorite mane type, I personally am quite fond of Incubus!" He asked, his ear flicking to a newcomer

The Primal male looked down at his paws for a few seconds, trying to think. “ Well, that depends, are we talking about male manes, or maned lionesses? If we’re talking lionesses, I’m much of a fan of Imperial and Villous manes. But for the standard male manes, I’d have to do with Barbary or Wavy. They’re just so intriguing. “

He then turned to the next ruler, putting on yet another false facade of friendliness. “ Now, my friend, what Event do you prefer most? “ He asked, tilting his head out of curiosity.

Flicker padded along the edge of the gathering, curious at the sight of multiple kings and queens socializing calmly. Back where she originated from, folks weren't all too happy to be around each other so witnessing such a sight was definitely an oddity to her!
Flicker inched closer, mainly happily spectaiting the conversations happening for most of the time up until attention was directly called upon her. She sat up clearing her throat, "I've only recently moved into this land, so im not too familiar with the events!" She chuckled sheepishly, "Though I have heard stories regarding the oddities that seem to take place each month! I'd say I'm definitely most curious for The Great Hunger event and the Meteor Showers Phenomenon, whenever those appear."
Flicker swished her tail looking over to the next lion with a friendly smile, "That odd green snake up in the trees is constantly bugging me for seemingly impossible tasks! Has there been any quests that you have dreaded completing, or couldn't complete within the time frame he asks?"

Weasel`star nodded to the queen that had just joined the gathering. He sat upon the roots of a large fallen tree with a weasel sitting upon the skull he wore. He raised his voice to answer the queen's question. "I've only accepted so many tasks from that snake, but even so there have been a few I haven't completed. Not necessarily because it was an impossible ask, but because I've had other things to deal with, or just simply haven't cared to bother with them. I wouldn't be surprised if that scaled worm were to hand me a harder task, but so far, I've seen nothing of the sort."

With a final nod Weasel`star turned to the next king or queen:

"From what base do you build your pride upon? Respect? Honor? Death? Fear? Tell me, how do you choose to lead?" He asked with a distinct cruelness in his voice.

"And raise your voice for all to hear, my friend"

The Primal king gave a surprised but seemingly hungry smile, as if he had been waiting to share this information for moons. “ I rule my pride with the promise of fear and loss for my lionesses. They know that if they are to provide cubs less to my liking, or if they provide poorly, they are to be swiftly killed, or have something of their taken away. Many are simply to afraid to leave the pride, so I have been having them do my bidding in the search of some lions that are more. . . Favorable. They know I’m quick to slash their little throats as soon as possible should they do something wrong or poorly. “ The king said, digging his large claws into the ground below him, and looked at the next ruler with a falsely welcoming gaze.

“ Do tell me, my friend, what is it that you appreciate the most about your pride? Their diversity? Their stats? Or perhaps their rare attributes? “

Calcareous shifted his paws anxiously, surprised at the other king's willingness to choose violence. He rose his voice trying to keep his tone regal and laid back. "I prefer their diversity! Honestly I like to make sure everyone in my pride is beautiful. As I don't want our pride to be the laughingstock of these lands." He turned his attention to the newcomer with a smile.

"What's your thoughts on decors, like what types do prefer? Any styles?"

A young male who had been walking in paused, seeming to shrink under the stares of the older rulers. "Hieko, over here." Casantos called from her spot in the circle. The colorful lion, presumably Hieko, scrambled over to join the queen, who chuckled at the nervous mess he had become.
Casantos sat up straight and introduced the young lion " This is Hieko. He will be taking over my pride once I am gone, so I figured I'd show him my favorite pastime." She flicked her ear. "I hope you don't mind" she said before leaning down and whispering in his ear. Hieko's eyes darted around as he answered. "I love decors. I prefer lion made decors, I know that some rulers like to take human item and wear them, but I personally don't like the way that looks" He said, his voice getting quieter with each word until his words because a mumble.
Casantos bumped his shoulder reassuringly and bent down to whisper something else in his ear. Heiko whispered something back and Casantos sat back up. "Do you have a background that you like? Perhaps multiple? Do you even like backgrounds?"

Jack-O-Lantern sat stiffly for a moment as the attention turned to him. He spoke steadily despite the wide-eyed expression that seemed to be permanently plastered on his face “I love a good background. I don’t really have a favorite, they each have their own unique styles that they fit.” he said, his paws shuffled for a moment before he continued “in my opinion, finding the perfect background can really enhance a lions decorations.. or.. ruin it. I’ve seen some real fashion disasters.”
he sat for a moment, staring off into the distance before he shook himself and, with an amused huff, looked to the next ruler.

“How do you feel about the fast approaching December event? I, myself am quite excited since it’ll be my first time experiencing it!” One he finished talking, he stared expectantly, awaiting a response.

Weasel`star tilted his head to the side thoughtfully. "I too am looking forward to this December. I haven't yet experienced it either. I am quite ready to see what events will fall upon us. Of course, this new season also brings dangers as well. I'm slightly concerned about the snowfall that may come, as the tunnels me and my pride reside in may have a higher chance of collapsing. Though, I always look forward to new challenges."

Weasel`star nodded, feeling satisfied with his response. He turned to the next king or queen.

"I must ask you about the hybrids. Do you prefer a mix between a tiger and a lion? Or a leopard and a lion?"

"Answer"

Calcareous smiled, nodding at a large primal male to sit with him.
"This is my son, Igneous. He isn't blood related, but he will be taking over my pride soon. I thought this would be a interesti-" Calcareous flicked his tail as he was interrupted by Igneous.

"I don't think it would be ideal to have a hybrid in my pride, I don't like the idea of someone else messing with my lionesses. But, I do find tigons quite interesting, tigers are much stronger than leopard and are more useful anyways." He spoke confidently, his chest puffed out, seemingly making Calcareous quite embarrassed.

"You" he hissed at the newcomer. "What would be your favorite biome to explore in. Answer now and not later, this is quite boring already!"
Calcareous swatted the primal male with a unamused look and glanced at the newcomer with an apologetic look.

Zaluka narrowed her eyes and peeled back her lips. "What a silly question for a child like yourself to ask. For some reason, I doubt you know what the burn of the desert or the crushing humidity of the marshlands feels like yet." She looked up at the primal heir with unrivaled disdain, staring him down. After a few long seconds, Zaluka let out a breathy answer, "my favorite biome is whichever is that hardest. I live for the challenge of battle."

She smirked before glancing over at the next ruler. "There are many different lions, some with pelts reminiscent of rainbows or night, while others blend into the natural world with tranquil browns and greens. Of the spectrum, what color or theme do you prefer? I myself enjoy colors."
