Yeah, Greyd. We've been talking about the Black dog myth, Also known as the Black Shuck, But I still believe it was a dog. ![]() |

Also Piper, Just because nothing matched doesn't mean it isn't it. Seeing as it's a crossbreed you can never sum them up even in a few pictures. You have endless possibilities ![]() |

Also, the black dog is a legend originating from Britain, mainly England. And I was in an area where some of my friends live that seems to be a hotspot for all things weird. Including supernatural sightings. ![]() |

Yes, Ears were more pointed okay. So it could still be a mutt though, Just because the cryptid comes from your country doesn't mean every encounter is it. And are you sure it's a paranormal hotspot and not more encounters like this where it could be anything? ![]() |

Well, my friend has seen demons before and she practices witchcraft so I feel like she should know. It is also a place where there are frequent ghostly noises and ghost sightings. ![]() |

Also, what makes you think it is more likely a dog and not a the black dog from the legend? ![]() |

Could you emphasise on what "ghostly sounds" means? And the reason I think so is cryptids are hella rare and this sounds like one of the cases where it's just something from the ordinary world. And keep in mind, Even though you are so adamant that it's a black dog, originally you were '100%' sure it was a werewolf. ![]() |

I wasn't 100% certain it was a werewolf. I thought it might be since we were on the trail of a werewolf at the time but after digging deeper into it I found it seemed more like the black dog AND as the black dog was primarily England and werewolves being more common in other parts of the world it made it even more likely. I do try and use things to back up what I'm saying and don't like to make immediate assumptions. By 'ghostly sounds' there have been sounds of babies crying, when there are no babies, people screaming but no source being found. ![]() |

Ah right then, Apologies for the misunderstanding. Hm, That seems quite uh... Unsettling. Do you mind telling me whereabouts this happens? You could PM it if that's better. But if you don't want to say, Can I ask is there any history to this place? Because I know there's this village in 'murica where half of it's burned to the ground, I actually plan on doing an investigation there at some point. :P ![]() |
