I agree with Kokoc, for all the people signaling that we already got crunchy worms, what If I just want a certain lion's base pass but not the ENTIRE looks? An item that only increses the pass rate of certain bases would be really useful, a 100% pass could be dangerous but maybe a slight help in breeding projects or just helping pass a base you really like into your lion?

And again, it would only be a chance, there would still be a high chance of failing, just like the recently added (at the time of this reply) leopard tail, it helps pass certain rossettes, not like it guarantees its passing like gnaws.

For people worrying about combo bases, Im sure certain people would also love it to work for combos and I personally wouldnt mind, but maybe to make it more fair, making it work on all bases minus combos + hybrid bases? (Kimanjano and Mandarin)

Im a bit torn between support and no support, but def closer to support! As many people have already mentioned, yes, there is crunchies and applicators, and it may ruin the fun of getting combo bases. BUT, however, combo bases can be difficult to get still even without any items used. Plus, I don't see how the "fun" would be ruined if an item that helped pass bases was added. I mean like, we have items to pass eyes, markings (i think), etc, so why not bases?? It doesn't seem like the fun would be ruined at all tbh. (for me atleast.) AND to anyone who may reply to me saying "oh but crunchies do ___!" yes, I know. BUT not everyone wants the EXACT looks, some people just want the base and that's it.

I apologize if this came off as rude, Im just a bit stern. But I personally love this idea!

I personally think it would be nice to have an item that can help pass bases. Maybe not a 100% chance, but an item that instead offers a boosted chance of a base pass.

For players who are concerned about this item becoming too prevalent and decreasing the challenge of breeding bases, we should go with OP’s suggestion and have the item only be available to purchase during an event (high-tier) or be a rare drop in explore. That way people who want the item in the game happy and those who want to still have a challenging experience are happy. Limiting the item should also keep desirable special-based and combo-based lions at a high value.
