Lionpaw narrowed his frosty blue in concentration as he creeped forwards in a crouch. He accidentally stepped on a twig which caused the bird to get aware of it's surroundings and noticed it was being hunted and began to fly up. The fluffy golden tabby growled and leapt as high as he could and batted the bird back down harshly. It hit the ground loudly with a THUD and then a SNAP and then stood still. He smirked and chuckled cockily, smirking before picking it up and padded to Nightstar, grinning as his leader and mentor praised him. At least someone was happy for him and showed it instead of trying to claw his ears off.

Lionpaw grinned as he felt the leader's wet tongue rasp against his ear and purred slightly before he nodded. "I don't really blame them though..." His voice broke but he shrugged, it was normal at his age, before grinning again. Honestly, he thought being the leader's apprentice would have been hard and challenging but it didn't seem too bad. The golden tabby puffed his chest out and nodded. "Thank you, Nightstar. Next time I go hunting I'll definitely keep that in mind." He chuckled softly, dipping his head at her. Though, leaders are usually much stricter than this... Shouldn't she have already like start to lecture me about being nice?... Something is up... Lionpaw thought before shaking his head. Nah, Nightstar was a cool cat, that was why she was being cool with him right now instead of those other cats.

Lionpaw shook his head immediately. "No, Nightstar! Not in a bad way! In a good way!..." He stuttered before sighing and followed his mentor and leader before flicking an ear in confusion. "Umm... I dunno. Shouldn't you know what to do? I mean... You are the leader and my mentor so..." He flicked his tail awkwardly before licking a paw and swiping it over his ear, clearing his throat slightly.
