Rosepetal nodded slightly.
"I named my kits, Ashkit, Thornkit, and Lilykit" Rosepetal meowed to Rippleheart.
"You two visit me more than my mate" She laughed slightly, having a hidden meaning under it, seeming sad after laughing. Sighing she curled around the kits to warm them.
Ashkit and Thornkit were large for kits! Lilykit was a beautiful dark brown and light brown calico, The calico from her mother and the brown from her father. She started mewling crawling to her mother's belly to nurse.

NightStar smiled the the three newborns. "Thank you RosePetal. I'll take him off your hands and nurse him myself when my kits are born." NightStar nudged the mewling black kitten towards RosePetal, the smell of her milk a treat to him. When he started suckling, NightStar smiled warmly, a look she had only given two other cats before, PebbleSea, her deceased mate, and Redpelt, her current mate. Hearing Rosepetals comment about her mate, she turned to face the she. "He will come." She said in a commanding voice. "Even if I have to drag his furry butt here myself." She smiled jokingly, though she was dead serious.

Rosepetal sighed.
"Toms don't seem to want anything to do with me after I have their kits" She laid her head down, her pretty blue eyes staring off.
Why was that? Rosepetal though she was a decent cat! Maybe she wasn't..
Maybe she just wasn't destined to have a mate to love her like other cats.
Sighing again she wrapped her tail around the kits.
Lilykit opened her eyes, to show these gorgeous green eyes. Something to be envious of it seemed!
Ashkit followed a little slower, He had intimidating amber eyes, His brother Thornkit, who was a beautiful golden tabby, had these complimenting frost blue eyes. They seemed to be cold, like his mothers gaze sometimes. Never towards her kits though!

"Oh, never mind the darn toms. Idiots, all of 'em." NightStar purred. She continued to watch WolfKit suckle. "I can't thank you enough for helping WolfKit." NightStar chuckled at the name, fitting, it was. NightStar smiled again at the feline.

Rosepetal nodded slowly.
Rosepetal flicked her tail gently, making Thornkit wail curling up closer to his mother.
"Hes never going to want to leave the nursery!" She poked fun at her kit, starting to groom him.
His fur looked like it was specially made by starclan itself! Which was funny, but cute!
they were all fluffy, like their mother.

NightStar smiled. She knew Wolfkit will get along well here, no matter his origins. She curled up in a corner, wanting to sleep here tonight. She drifted into a contented sleep, smiling all the way.

NightStar purred. Moments ago, her kit had been born. Softkit, she had named the creamy she. She had also taken Wolfkit from Rosepetal, and was now nursing the Tom along with her daughter. She relaxed as she listened to her kits suckle her milk, panting contentedly. Wolfkit would soon start eating prey, and softkit would follow. NightStar sighed happily. "Ahhh.... Bliss." She smiled.

Rosepetal was curled around her sleeping kits.
They were a moon old today!
She groomed her sweet she-kit.
Lilykit had this adorable kit fluff, following her brothers.
They all had long fur like their mother's.
Rosepetal was short though, her legs rather stubby.
She still swam good though.

Redpelt padded over to the nursery as fast as he could, his eyes immediately went towards Nightstar, a smile formed on his face as he approached his mate and kits, he sat besides Nightstar, his tail curling around his feet "How are the kits?" he said in a quiet voice, as he watched the kits with a loving gaze.

Lilykit woke up, flicking her ears.
Opening her eyes, She had her pretty green eyes.
She woke her brothers and they started to play.
Lilykit teased them, hiding behind Rosepetal, their mother.

Rosepetal scolded her kits. "Stop that right now! Nightstar's kits are newborns and you're making so much noise!" She glared at them.
"Sorry momma.." Thornkit held his head down, going to sit next to his mother.
Ashkit muttered something laying down with Lilykit.

NightStar smiled proudly as her mate entered. "This is Softkit..". She purred. "And you already met Wolfkit." NightStar continued her grooming of her kits. She was ever so proud of the small ones.

Redpelt smiled and purred, he wrapped his tail around Nightstar's, and he looked at the kits again "They'll make great warriors, I just know it" he said in a small voice, as if not to disturb the kits, he looked at Softkit and Wolkit with a gaze that held amazement, and love before looking at Nightstar with a small mile on his face.

VVOLFKIT - kitten OF riverclan - LOCATION: Nursery - SEASON: Late leaf-fall / early leaf-bare - MENTIONS: Redpelt, Nightstar, somewhatSoftkit

The small ebony tom known as VVolfkit laid peacefully beside his mother. The feeling of her prickly tongue rasping over every inch of his fluffy pelt was soothing enough to force a loud, monotonous purr from the kitten's chest. He rolled over as his tiny nose picked up the slightest change in sent. The sweet, milky scent of Nightstar was being crumbled by another smell. His little eyes peeked open and stared up at the other cat. Hm. Him again.

This other cat had been around him and his sister alot, and it was starting to annoy little VVolfkit. VVhy couldn't he keep snuggling and sleeping? A mini sigh trembled from his lips and he blinked up at the masculine. "Hello." He mewled quietly, eyes streched wide in awe as he looked over the giant body of the cat. Small paws shuffled against the soft floor beneath and he let a little smile strech across his features, exposing pearly white thorns within his jaws.

NightStar laughed at her son's expression. "Wolfkit this is your..." NightStar paused for a brief moment, reflecting the past. "Father. This is your father, redpelt." NightStar purred and nudged her kit. Today, she decided, he would take his first paw-steps. "C'mon now, wolfkit, don't be stubborn." She purred.

Rippleheart padded into the nursery, a plump trout in his jaws. He looked at Rosepetal and when she made eye contact, he looked down at his paws, his face feeling hot. "Hello Rsprtl" He said around the fish. "I brt this fish fr you." Realizing he was singling out just Rosepetal, he quickly spit the fish out and added "And you too of course Nightstar." His face grew very hot and he turned away from the she cats. "I'll be on my way." He mewed with sincerity. "I think I'll head out and fish for a little while."

Rosepetal nodded greatfully, Her fur getting hot.
"Thank you Rippletail!" She meowed greatfully.
She ate some of the trout, letting Nightstar have the rest, She'd left a lot..
Too much for normal, But that was Rosepetal, She was short, and it was obvious when she was wet she was skinny. No one said anything of course, Rosepetal ignored their questions.
Her fur made her look a lot bigger. She was short though, As if she was a dwarf.
Ha! A dwarf cat!
