Redpelt smiled at the little kit "Hello Wolfkit, I'm your father" said the RiverClan deputy with a loving tone, he touched the kit with his paw and nuged him a little, the young kit should be able to walk by now "C'mon little champ, you should take you first paw-steps" he said in a soft tone.

Rippleheart padded over to the river. The cool stream of water lapped softly against the shore as he trotted down the bank to the waters edge. he looked down into the water and noticed a single catfish swimming slowly near the surface of the river. Strange, Rippleheart thought since catfish were bottom feeders, but he thought nothing more of it. He went upstream a little before sliding quietly into the river. The cold water shocked him before he became used to the chill. Leaf-bare was coming sooner this year, he thought through slightly chattering teeth. As he bore down on the catfish, he made sure that his legs moved as slowly as possible, as to not disturb the water or the catfish. As he came upon the catfish, he quickly darted his head down and grabbed the wiggling fish in his jaws. He swam to the shore as quickly as he could and dropped the fish on the bank. With a quick twist and snap of his jaws, the fish was dead. He quickly returned to camp, and deposited the fish onto the fresh-kill pile.

Rosepetal was sunning herself while her kits played, OUT of the nursery.
Lilykit and Ashkit were wrestling and Thornkit was laid next to his mother.
His golden fur glowed in the sun. His frosted eyes like his mother.
Lilykit's green eyes looked more green than the grass or trees in newleaf.

VVOLFKIT - kitten OF riverclan - LOCATION: Nursery - SEASON: Late leaf-fall / early leaf-bare - MENTIONS: Redpelt, Nightstar,
Wolfkit's small lower lip began to pout as his mommy told him that this stranger was his..dad? He looked up in wonder at the tom. Small, ebony ears flicked as the two older felines began to tell him to walk around. His first pawsteps? Fine. This kitten would take up the challenge. His small legs pushed him off of his rump and onto his mitten-like feet. Features melted into an amazed abyss of mixed emotions.

The stubby banner of his tail thrashed back and forth behind hinds as he attempted to keep his balance. One paw began to shoot in front of the other and he mewled in fear. He stumbled over himself and crashed into the soft flooring, his frail charcoal frame rolling uncontrollably. Yet, he eventually came to a stop, as he had gently bumped into his father's lengthy limbs. Cranium tipped upwards and large eyes blinked up at his dad. "Sorry." He mewled faintly.

NightStar

NightStar let out a soft, yet kind, chuckle. "Just like me when I started walking, I fell flat on my face." NightStars amused eyes turned soft. "Come here, son." She purred, her tail flicking encouragingly. "One paw before the other.." she mused, once again hinting at the past that no cat but her knew. She watched the black kit who she had found at the gathering quite carefully, her mothering instinct powerful. She smiled at him.

Rosepetal brought her kits back into the nursery, all of them tired.
She laid in her nest, curling around them with her long short body.
Her ginger tail seemed to engulf her kits.
She groomed them softly and with a warm look.
Her kits were asleep.
Lilykit had her brown calico fur.
It was dark brown that had a grey tint to it.
It had lighter brown dapples along her back.
She was a beautiful she-kit!
Just like her mother. Ashkit had his fluffy grey fur that made him look like the ash a tree leaves when it burned down. His yellow eyes finally closed when he fell asleep.
Thornkit had this golden fur that looked like the sun itself. His frosted eyes just like his mother's.
