A lot of people have invested a lot of currency in the scrying stone to see if we were right about combos, and here is the result :D But wait... What are combo bases?When you breed two lions with the right combination of bases, their cubs roll a further, extra chance that can result in a third, new base, a "combo" base. Each combo base has its own requirements, and these bases often ignore the set genetic rules: for example, the Cairngorm combo base (Black Light Solid Special genetics) can be obtained by breeding a Celestial lion (Black Dark Countershaded Special genetics) and a Cocoa lioness (Black Medium Countershaded Rare genetics). Most combo bases can be passed down as long as one parent has it and further requirements are met if there are any, with the exception of Pulsar and Temporal. *Since the 12th October update, cubs that have triggered the original combo bases - Cairngorm, Citrine, Madagascar or Qahir - have a 50% chance of getting their respective mane color, and these can be inherited like any other mane color! Right now there are two different types of combo bases: "standard" combos and "factor" combos. Factor ones can be obtined by breeding any of the bases that make up the combo, but standard ones can be obtained by more than one combination of bases that are assembled into two different groups. The combo can trigger as long as the parents have bases that belong to a different combo group (not to be mistaken by the genetic color group). *Note: While some of the following standard combo tables have been completed, there may be some combinations that remain undiscovered yet. It'd fit, but wouldn't they tell if some weren't out, yet? Maybe they're saving it for other bases. Edit: After taking a peek at the Genetics wiki entry, I think one of these is the one that's left to breed Madagascar: Chartreux, Moonstone, Opal Hematite, Maltese, Cherry Blossom, Buff, Cameo, Hallowed, Nacre, Teardrop, Champagne, Nacarat, Kimanjano, Dinar, Sulphur, Goldenrod, Udara or Maroon. Let's try to use logic here. For Cairngorm, there was a group of all the same color group as the combo base - Black -, and the other group was made of another Black base, and 3 Cream bases. The 4 Black bases had 3 event-hard-to-breed bases, plus an applicable event base. In the other side, we have one applicable base - Ethereal - plus 3 breed only bases that only need the parents to make up the genetics, nothing more. What do we have for Madagascar? An entire side of Red bases - one that is hard to breed, breed only and needs a parent to have it so it can pass onto offspring - and other three that are regular special bases. On the other side, one red base - Sunset - that it's event only and needs a parent to have it, then 2 applicable bases, one from March and other from November. So, what is missing with the side made up from other bases? A regular breed only special base. The ones that haven't been used in other combos are Maltese, Chartreux, Ebony, Flint, Ashen, Cameo, Buff, Amber, Buttercream, Buttermilk, Teardrop, Dinar, Fulvous, Nacarat, Champagne, Udara, Goldenrod, Suphur, Prune, Maroon, Umber and Cinnabar. Which one seems more likely to you? I'd discard Maltese, Chartreux, Ebony and Flint, they seem too black to me. amber seems for fitting to Qahir, same as Buttercream. Fulvous seems more fitting for Citrine, and Maroon, Umber and Cinnabar would be so unexpected...! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah, Berenos, I did scrying according to the idea I had myself, seemed logical but what youve named I've already scryed. Like I said I could have been very very unlucky. Since group 2 is only red and Madagascar is red special I assume the missing base is literally anything. Just like cairngorm we have some fails of the column 1 bases in column 2, 2 creams like in cairngorm too. So since column 2 consists of some very very red colours I'd assume the missing base is something ebony-like because Madagascar has that black tone in it. But ugh idk what base haven't I tried scrying yet 0 players like this post! Like? |
