I'm not sure if anyone has put this up yet but here goes: This is when the thyroid gland under-produces certain hormones. This under-production can result in the slowing down of metabolism. Basically, you can be affected in various ways such as weight gain, fatigue, appitite loss etc. Just imagine a chubby little lion or a sleepy looking one! (To get a slight idea of what i'm talking about google "chubby, sleepy tiger"/"chubby,sleepy lion") Anyway this would more likely be a letal since they wouldn't be able to hunt but I thought it would be nice if they could live with it. What do you think? If you vote no please explain why.(don't overdo it please) You don't have to say why on this thread you can send me a message! Fortunately i don't bite. :3 (i will FAIRLY defend myself though) P.S. People/Animals with the disease aren't guaranteed to gain weight and I don't mean to offend anyone that has this Illness |

Hyperthyroidism in cats: "The most common clinical signs of hyperthyroidism are weight loss, increased appetite, and increased thirst and urination. Hyperthyroidism may also cause vomiting, diarrhea, and hyperactivity. The coat of affected cats may appear unkempt, matted, or greasy." So maybe a skinny lion with messy fur/manes? 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. As somebody who suffers from hypothyroidism this is incredibly offensive! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support! Also I fail to see how this is offensive? That's like saying "I'd like to have lions with limb loss!" And then saying that's offensive to people who lost a limb... We can't always control things like that. It's life and it occurs in creatures OTHER than just humans. :| 0 players like this post! Like? |

support :D I think maybe one chub one, that is less common because as the people that have it and know people with it said, it's not a common symptom. Maybe make the fatigue more common :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is interesting! I'd love to see this as a mutation, especially with the variants. 0 players like this post! Like? |
